This place is authenthic greek and italian cuisine. The food is amazing and the atmosphere is comfortable. This is the "real deal". Simply amazing!!!! Great job. A hidden secret!

Meh. Good food, high price.
Oh and way too cramped. You are literally less than 12 inches from your neighbor. This might be enjoyable for the typical sanguine but not so much for those of us not interested in hearing our neighbor's dinner conversations.
Avoid this place if you aren't comfortable in tight spaces. -

In from out of town at a class down in Santa Maria. The instructor recommended this place. Locals know best, so I drove up in the rental car. It was worth it.
Agreed that the decor is off-putting at first, but Antonio is the real deal, and the food is excellent.
I had the bacon-wrapped prawns with tomatoes, garlic-olives, and capers, and gnocchi with Alfredo sauce, followed up with a slice of lemon cake and a glass of a local Merlot. $40. I've paid more for worse food, for sure.
Scrumptious. Truly great.
When you see folks sitting around, chatting, enjoying their wine. It's real Italian & Greek.
Antonio also offered directions to another Greek restaurant nearby that I probably won't have time to try out, but would love to. Stop in, have dinner, and ask him. I doubt you'll be disappointed! -

Great food with generous proportions and great flavors. Prices were right . It is not creative novelle cuisine, but it is traditional Italian cuisine with a few Greek items. I don't need to describe the entire menu and price structure here because the menu is online.
Greek appetizer combo was great. tzatziki was tart and garlicky. hummus seemed homemade from garbanzo beans, also very tasty. The pita bread seemed fresh and soft. Olive and feta cheese was delicious.
Brushetta was not as good. The garlic was a little raw. The sauce was sort of a warm spaghetti sauce. I prefer a bruschetti with fresh tomatoes. I won't order this again.
Spinach pie was like an enormous spanakopita and was delicious.
Chicken piccata was wonderful--tender thin slices in a beautiful lemony wine-caper sauce. Perfectly executed.
Pizza was a lovely, hand-thrown crust with a generous, juicy topping ( in this case with feta cheese, olives, and artichoke hearts.) Calzones are so large 2 people should eat them.
Spumoni was incredible. The best I have had with rum flavored fruits and pistachios.
The tiramasu is just OK. Lots of whip cream. but I did not care for it. I expect tiramisu to have rum or some other alcohol in it and perhaps some mascarpone instead or in addition to whip cream. So this was not my favorite, but I am just being fussy here. Probably lots of other people would like this creation, but I won't order it again.
Service was attentive, even though they claimed to be short-handed today.
I notice some yelpers were not impressed by the atmosphere. I thought it was very comfortable. this is a semi-casual family restaurant in a strip mall, not a dim $50 a plate date-night place. The decor is nice. The lights are antique reproductions. At sunset, candles were lit on the tables. The color scheme is sunny Mediterranean. I think the place looks good. I have no idea why people would complain about this. The decor is well designed, not anything like your typical stripmall restaurant.
This is a great place. Give it a try. -

We are from out of town and need to get take out from somewhere. Food tasted okay. The bread was dry. Service was friendly.

Been here a couple of times and it's a restaurant the boyfriend and I go out of our way for.
It's strange to think you could find very good Italian food in the middle of nowhere, aka in the stretch between SLO/Arroyo Grande area and Santa Maria off of 101.
Maybe I like it only because his 'uncle' owns it, but nevertheless we've left stuffed and happy each time. Calamari isn't the best but still very tasty, the bruchetta was crisp and perfect with AMAZING toppings, they have the best pesto pasta with gorgonzola cheese (not sure if it's the cheese itself that they get or if they know how to prepare it--either way c'est magnifique haha), the ambiance has shifted from classier to a more casual setting but still nice, there is sometimes a guy playing classical guitar just chillin in the corner. Oh and desserts are goooood.
My only negative to point out right now is their bar- they have a ton of stuff there but it seems like the bartender only knows how to make the drink specials they have (which are about 3 or so) or just ---blank--- on the rocks. With patience you can just tell them what's in your drink and see their attempt at it though. ...I should keep in mind this is a restaurant not a bar! Oh and location is kinda funny. But a place like this anywhere in Nipomo would be just that, funny. -

Thoroughly the worst dining experience I have ever had.
My husband and I went here on an early wednesday evening (around 5:30), and were the only patrons in the place. The television was BLARING, and the employees did not turn it down after we entered, nor during the course of our meal.
We were sat promptly (as we were the only ones there..) and the waitress did a dismal job of taking our orders. They were out of soda, and she did not know the soup of the day.
I ordered a pasta primavera but asked the waitress to use a red sauce instead of a garlic sauce. The wait time for the food was not bad, but the waitress brought me normal pasta without veggies. She informed me that veggies would be extra since they could not use red sauce for the primavera.
She DID NOT inform us of that before placing our order, and I suppose she thought it would be ok to change our order without telling us. This is unacceptable.
The waitress said she could "fix" this problem "if her boss was not there". What? She should have either made my order right, or informed me that they could not make it the way I wanted BEFORE telling the cooks to cook something I did not want.
Eventually, after seeing me poke at my food for 10 minutes, the owner came over and saw to it they put some veggies into my pasta. By then though, I was through with this experience and just wanted to leave.
The next day, I log into my bank and see that the restaurant overcharged my card. Honest mistake perhaps. Or perhaps not. Either way, I called the restaurante about it and a man answered and told me, "come in tomorrow and get your money baby".
Why would you talk like that to a customer over the phone? I had my husband go get it so I wouldn't have to step into this abdismal business again.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE OF BUSINESS FOR ANYONE. Overall a bad experience from start to finish. -

Great Greek and Italian dishes. And great desserts, too! We live about 50 miles away, but we try to make it whenever we can.

Antonio's has a nice selection of pasta, pizza and sandwiches for lunch. Dinner brings in veal, chicken, seafood and steaks as well as some traditional Greek fare such as Mousaka which is very good. Prices are quite reasonable. The Gyros Meat sandwich is delicious, and a great lunch value for $7.00
Tony has sold his liquor license and now serves only beer and wine. The Moretti Italian beer is quite good.
I really like his pizzas. Super combo with extra garlic is superb. -

I had heard Antonio's Ristorante advertising on the radio and knew it was in a strip mall so I wasn't expecting to be too impressed. Because of that I wasn't too suprised when our experience started out pretty unimpressive--too many tables crammed into too small a space, boring decor, spotted wine glasses, and a waitress who didn't seem too tuned in (and that's being kind).
The food, though, was a different story. I had the spinach salad with grilled salmon and it was great. Clams, vegi lasagne and a fish platter were also given good reviews. Our wine was excellent; it was served by a friendly guy I assume was Antonio. Also, there was live guitar music and the prices were reasonable. You should give it a try. -

Real Italian food. A little pricey but a great place for going on a date. Friendly service and they go around with dessert plates offering you some after dinner. I think that is smart. So hard to say no because it looks so good. If you want the real thing go here!!

Nipomo, CA
Good food at a decent price. Nice that they have Greek, since there are not many places that do on the Central Coast, and they do Italian, as well. The pizzas are great, although they suffer somewhat in the take out box, as it steams and makes the crust soft, rather than crisp. Some folks may prefer the softer crust - to each their own. They now serve only beer and wine, but the bar is still in there, if you want to have a cold one and socialize.

Food is decent, but by no means one of the better Italian restaurants on the Central Coast. prices are a bit steep for a run-of-the-mill red sauce and pasta place.

Odd, odd odd flavors. Surly service when you could get service. I had lasagna and it was dry. Worse than that was that three times I bit down on whole spices (I hope it was spice): twice what I think was a star anise and the second time some unidentifiable large crunch that I really didn't want to look at to see if it was alive at one time... The place is clean and that is good.

Antonio's is one of those Restaurants you want to go to for an excellent meal, fresh and homemade Italian and Greek food. We take out of town guests there because it offers a quiet atmosphere to be able to talk, enjoy great wine and the food is always delicious. The owners are very nice and it feels like going home for a good meal. We eat there often and hold lots of birthday's and anniversary party celebrations there.
