This restaurant is a true Nashville gem. I have eaten in many fine dining restaurants and authentic Italian restaurants. Antonio's food parallels its service-- it is outstanding!
Post 6:00, they start each table off with freshly homemade bruschetta and an herb-infused olive oil dip to go along with their freshly baked bread. My family has eaten here once every week for the past 6+ years, if that says anything!
My recommendations:
Salads -- Insalata Mista, Insalata Caprese (Of course their house and caesar salad never disappoints!)
Soup -- Shrimp Bisque in bread bowl
Main Course -- Zuppa di Pesce, Costolette di Agnello, Piccata di Vitello, Fileto alla Griglia, Grigliata Mista, Scampi alla Antonio's, Supreme di Pollo
Dessert -- Strawberries with Zabaglione, ABC Coffee (Amaretto, Bailey's, Creme de Cacao)
The wine selection is great, and the bartender who makes the mixed drinks has a heavy hand if you like strong drinks. From most of the seating, you can see Antonio preparing each dish.
The prices may seem a bit high; however, they are great for the amount you get. 90% of the dishes come with grilled veggies, yukon gold mashed potatoes, and a choice of a caesar/house salad.
Highly recommended! -

Antonio's is my favorite Italian restaurant in Nashville! I have enjoyed dining here for years and the quality of food and atmosphere are consistently well-performed. This is a terrific date night or with family and friends for a relaxing evening.
A type of dining experience to dine and savor the food without rushing to eat and out the door. I always start with smoked salmon and capers and attempt to choose a different entree each time even though I am tempted to repeat a previous selection.
Antonio's is off the beaten path in the Bellevue area strip retail area but there is plenty of parking and reservations are recommended. I highly recommend adding this to your top restaurants to dine! Worth the drive to this section of town! -

I'd bought a Groupon for this place a few months ago that was due to expire this week, so we made the trek out last night. We've tried a few Italian places in Nashville, and based on our one visit, I think pretty highly of Antonios' compared to the competition.
Let me get out of the way the one thing I didn't like before I jump to all the awesomeness of our dinner. Before seating us, they asked if we had a Groupon. That's one of my pet peeves. It always makes me wonder if we're about to get second-class service, or a reduced menu, or what. So let me use this review to implore restaurant owners: if you agree to a deal with Groupon, take it cheerfully at the end of the meal and don't ask people if they have one before they're done. I can count several restaurants in the Nashville area on which I've spent hundreds of dollars, but I never would have tried them without a Groupon.
OK, rant over. We were seated at a table in the back corner of the restaurant, which was great for us. The waitress brought out a small complimentary plate of bruschetta. Main course prices are about what you'd expect -- roughly $14 to $19 for the pasta dishes, and $18-$28 for most of the pure meat dishes.
Other reviewers have raved about the shrimp bisque in cognac. Believe them. Served in a bread bowl, it's rich, creamy, and delicious. At a $10 price tag, you might be tempted to forego it -- but if you like bisque, I'd recommend you try it.
We were also really pleased with the complimentary house salads. The dressing was creamy and delicious (hey, you noticing a trend here?). And, the leaves were fresh. In general, I don't love salads, but we both agreed this one was excellent.
My girlfriend tried the Capellini alla Guidea ($17), which was an angel hair pasta in a red wine and cream sauce with Italian bacon, artichoke hearts, and mushrooms, along with slight hints of green onions and tomatoes. It was easily one of the better pastas we've tried in Nashville. I was tempted to order the saltimbocca on the menu, but opted for a nightly special -- a beef tenderloin entree prepared with a veal demi-glace topped with a handful of peppercorns and served alongside an asparagus risotto. The risotto was divine. I don't love asparagus, but it was easy to pick those out. The beef was out of this world. It was tender, the sauce was rich, and whatever kind of peppercorns they used (not your usual peppercorns) gave it an extra punch when you'd bite into one.
Overall, this place was a hit. Even though it's a bit of a drive and not very convenient, I'd easily go back. (Remember what I said about Groupons creating frequent customers?) The flavors were good, the portion sizes were substantial, and the prices were all reasonable. Definite winner.Listed in: Nashville Italian

I love this place! We go there at least twice a month. My favorite thing on the menu is the lamb chops, veal shank, shrimp bisque, and the steak (if prepared medium rare). Service is great and the drinks are strong.

Antonio's is our "go to" place and has been ever since they opened (17 or so years ago.) The food is prepared fresh in their kitchen daily, and the quality of the ingredients is excellent. Antonio is from Athens, Greece and the mediterranean influence is apparent, but still it is an Italian restaurant. Antonio knows his stuff! I will also applaud them for consistency in staff. Several on staff have been with him since the day the door opened. They also have a very nice patio if the weather is good. They have an extensive wine list and several times a year, they offer gift certificate sale specials, where you purchase a certain amount and get an additional amt. for free. It is also a very romantic restaurant. We have seen several couples get engaged there over the years. Also, I would urge you to try the Early Bird Dinner specials, the portion is very nice and includes a house salad. Give them a try, you will love Antonio's!

My husband and I stumbled upon Antonios after searching all over Nashville for a good Italian restaurant. Who knew it was in Bellvue all along? The staff is amazing. Very friendly and very knowledgeable. The food is spectacular. Everything is fresh and you can even see into the kitchen while they are making your food from scratch. Everything we've had there has been fantastic and pretty reasonably priced. We always take family here when they're in town. LOVE this place, Definitely check it out.
