This is a great little restaurant hidden behind Fresh & Easy.  The bruschetta is THE BEST!  It has so much garlic, it almost burns your mouth!  Luigi is our favorite waiter.  Nothing adds to an Italian restaurant like a real Italian accent from Luigi the waiter.  The staff here is very accomodating.  The food is excellent.  I love the salmone con spumanti (I think I spelled that right), and my husband loves their eggplant parmesan.  They have a great wine list.

They have a cute little bar too.  One drawback about the bar - karaoke.  If it's a karaoke night and you think the off-key notes floating in from the other room may bother you, you may want to ask to be seated away from the entrance.  I don't think you can really hear it from the back of the dining area.

It's either extremely grand or extremely sad when the review begins to write itself while you're still at the table. As the stars indicate, this was not extremely grand.

The words that kept coming to mind during last night's dinner with Jim W was "out of house," as in "not in-house." Jim asked about several items on the menu, none of which were made in house. And everything tasted like it. In fact, nothing about this dinner was typical of an Italian restaurant.

We arrived about ten minutes late for our 6:30 reservation. They weren't busy and we were immediately seated. Now I should interrupt myself to say that we used an entertainment card - one of those with a sample menu - and the prices on their menu were between 25% and 40% higher than we expected. Anyway, we sat down and perused the menu, debating the tasty sounding options. I went with chicken parm, one of my all-time fave dishes, and Jim ordered a pizza. Oh, I also added a salad.

The salad was $4.50. It was very small and there was no option for a caesar. My salad was $5.25 because I requested cheese. That sprinkle, plus one slice of cucumber, one slice of tomato, one small artichoke heart, a few slices of canned black olive and some bagged spring mix I expect that salad cost them a quarter. Next thing we knew the bread arrived. While one waiter was placing it on the table another came with our entrees. Bum's rush, anyone?

The food tasted like it had just been off-loaded from a Cisco truck. Jim's pizza crust was so soggy it tasted like it had been microwaved. My chicken tasted positively prefab, though the broccoli was tasty. When the server brought out the dessert tray several of the items looked delicious. But after the over-priced, under-whelming food we didn't bother.

We were out the door in 50 minutes. At an upscale Italian restaurant. Amazing! Obviously they missed the memo about Italian meals being an event one lingers over. I look forward to lingering over my next Italian meal - someplace else.

This is a wonderful little Italian restaurant tucked away in a place you would not normally look.  They used to be located in the same center but in a different location...I have to say I liked the old place better...not the food-it's excellent - the decor.

The old location had a cozier old world feel to it, which was a big part of the total picture.  The new place is a bit more  "industrial" . Still some wonderful Romanesque classic paintings and etched glass, but not as cozy.

That being said the food is just delicious .  For openers they make a
Bruschetta that is to die for...also the Gambretti Livornese , shrimp in olive oil and garlic...my favorite entree' here is the Linguini con Vongole (Linguini and clams) and my meat eater dining partner (usually) swears by the Filetto al Pepe (Filet Mignon sauteed in brandy with cream, shallots, mushroom and peppercorns)

The have a full bar for cocktails and the wine list is extensive

    Eat, Drink, ENJOY!!!!

Amazing! This has been my second time here and I have been pleased both times. I went here on 5/19/12 for my anniversary dinner. Our server was named Valerie and she was a joy to have. She made sure everything was perfect. Joked around and we laugh, even brought out a little complimentary slice of cake for our anniversary. The food was amazing. I had spinach ravioli and my boyfriend had the meat lasagna. She made sure we were taken care of. I will always tell my friends and family members about place. Thank you Antonino's for the wonderful service!

I am pretty shocked at some of the reviews I've read here. My husband and I have been going here for years now and still love it. Yes, sometimes the service could be better but if you pay attention, you'll notice the service is somewhat slower when they are busy. That being said, the folks that work there aren't standing around twiddling their thumbs, they're WORKING, and working HARD to get YOU YOUR FOOD! So, cut them some slack! The manager/server is usually the one who serves us too and say what you will. . .she has ALWAYS taken VERY GOOD CARE OF US!

This is one of the few authentic Italian places around. I've been to the old Regina's, DiCenso's, Rose's,  the REAL Italian restaurants that were in existence in the old days and frequented by my Italian family as well as many others native to this area and Antonino's (formerly Antinori's) is as close as you'll get. I've been to Rosa's and would never go back there again for the prices alone. Decent food, but not for the price!

Antonino's prices are not only GOOD, their food is too. This place is old school, the kind of Italian place you can order what you want- old recipes that are NOT on the menu and have it done right.

So, yeah, I like 'em and they'll keep getting our business!

Some of the bestSome of the yummiest Italian food I've come across.

I went there last night for a friends Birthday dinner.

You must of course start off with the bread; it's so fresh and flavorsome. I think we might have had 2 baskets between us. We then had the bruschetta as an appetizer. (I know what your thinking, how does one start off with so much bread? Let me tell you, it was so good, once you start, you can't stop!) For dinner I hade the 3 ravioli special, it came with beef, cheese, and spinach raviolis and all were equally as tasty (great for a girl who can't make up her mind)! It also came with pieces of Filet Mignon and shrimp.   My Boyfriend had the Spaghetti con Polpette which has Spaghetti sautéed in olive oil, garlic, meat sauce and meatballs. We could not stop eating of each others plate; every thing was just super tasty!

Though it is a moderate drive away I can say for certain I will be back to enjoy Antonino's award winning Italian restaurant and bar even if I order takeaway well driving through the area, I am sure to have a pre planned scheme to get some of the best Spaghetti I have ever had!

Who knows, it might even make me visit my friends more often since they live near by the restaurant! I'll visit them so much they are sure to get sick of me lol.

Went here for our anniversary the ambiance is great and very romantic,We had a wonderful server named Lucia who was very helpful seeing as it was our first time here, Other then the Great service the food was bland, they gave good portions and the bread was the best part of the meal, What i didn't like was the meat entrees came with only vegetables and u had to pay about six bucks to add on pasta. The prices were a little on the pricey side about  15 to 25 per plate, for the quality i would of much rather have gone to a lower scale place like Olive Garden and gotta way better food. overall don't think i'll be revisiting this place again it just wasn't right for me.

This was very nice Italian food. The restaurant is dimly lit and the decor is nice. Good for a date or good friends and a few bottles of wine.  I had the filet and scampi. It was cooked perfect with high quality meat. My wife had scallops over linguine. I thought the scallops could have a little more seasoning, but that is my taste. I brought my own wine and they had a moderate $10 cork fee. One negative - dessert. My wife had the choc mousse. It was almost like a frozen dessert that was nearly thawed. The food was great, this didn't compliment the meal.

My recommendation- if you want a traditional Italian rest for a nice occasion, try this place.

I checked this place out last night after getting a recommendation to eat here almost 4 years ago. I'm happy to say that all the praise my friend had given was well worth it.  We had a Calimari appetizer in a red suace that was done just right.  It was soft to the touch and not a hint of rubbery feel.
For the entree I had a muscle and shrimp special with linguine which was excellent ad my wife had a "orange ruffee with a cognac sauce with scallops and shrimp (pictures of both are attached).
I took one star off for the music being played at the restaurant.  Not that the music was bad it was that when a live musician began playing in the bar the dining room kept pumping a Italian opera track over the live music making for a confusing and irritating background.  Short of that it was a great meal.

Went there with another couple and had an awesome experience. The food was good, but the service was excellent. I am a sucker for restaurant owners who walk around and greet customers at their tables, and have a few words. For a big restaurant like this one, that was quite surprising, and pleasant. I had the Pollo Marsala, and the wife had linguini with calamari.

I finally got a chance to go here for lunch today and I must say it was just ok. Not bad but just ok. I came in about 1pm and the place was semi busy. The 2 waiters that I saw were nice. I did not have any appetizers or salad though I was asked if I wanted them. I had the Aranciata, 6oz. (a carbonated orange drink) and the Pollo Parmigiana. I guess I was a little disappointed as it was pretty bland, not much sauce or cheese and some barely sauced rigatoni on the side. For $15 dollars I was expecting more. Again it was not bad just not great. I will probably try this place again for dinner before I can give a thumbs up or down.

This place was great when it was small and located across the shopping center from its current spot.  And it's great now.

Linen table cloths and napkins, nicely lit, well decorated.  It's teetering on 5 stars.

Antonino's serves Italian comfort food.  The prices are very fair.  I took my wife and son to dinner and paid the same price for our dinner for three that I paid for 4 glasses of red wine at Morton's.  Oh, I had a glass of Antonino's house Merlot ($5) and I would have gladly paid twice the price for it.

The Fettuccine Alfredo with Chicken was delightful and filling.  So much so that I had the leftovers for lunch the next day.

My 14 year old son had Polio Piccatta and reported it to be "great."  He also said the bread was amazing.

My wife had Penne alla Vodka.  She says it was delicious.  We ate the leftovers with dinner the next night.

Our excellent server was Luigi who is full of life.  He sang happy birthday in Italian to somebody at another table.  He gave us bread to take home with our leftovers.

The place has a full bar and karaoke.  Nice touch.

Ok, It's really 4 1/2 stars. but i couldn't round up for this one. I'll explain why later.

Went in there Saturday for the date night with the misses. I had the Pollo con something....It was angel with sundried tomatoes and mushrooms in Olive oil. Very, Very good. The portions are very large, you'll definitely have lunch for the next day. My lady had the tortellini which was in a cream sauce and had portobello mushrooms in it too and was great as well.

Lighting is kinda dark, romantic. Establishment is very clean, even the bathroom!! The bar area isn't too loud. The place isn't too big where it's impersonal, but not too small where it's claustrophobic.

Service is really good every time I go there. Luigi, I don't know if he owns the place or not will sing for someones b-day and he is really good.  the minus 1/2 star is because our server served me a warm beer. It was kinda harsh. Servers know better that this.

Prices were middle of the line. It was ~ 50 bucks for the 2 of us with drinks.

Came back to eat here with family recently, even though I doubted I would ever come back.  ...Pleasantly surprised this time!

I'm upgrading my rating to 4 stars now because the food was decent (not as salty this time, and actually hot), and the service was also good.  Nice recovery, and now worthy of a return visit.  I also noticed prices here were reasonable for a restaurant of this kind, and we managed to feed 6 adults (no alcohol or dessert) with entrees for about $115, not including tip.  Good value.

We came here for a weekend dinner, and found the restaurant to be occupied, but not busy, which suited us fine.  Simple, nicer ambiance, but not overly pretentious.

The dinner specials were interesting, which I sampled this time around and was pleasantly surprised.  Decent Italian food, especially for San Bernardino County -- not known for its fine dining!  ;-)

In a nutshell, good recovery, Antonino's!  You've won me over.  Mangia!

Came here with a group of 13 people for my brother in-law's graduation dinner and everyone liked this place.  It's very quaint and intimate inside. It does have dim-lighting but it is a Italian restuarant so it's suppose to have that romantic feeling.  The waitress we had was nice and very attentive.  Some people were saying that the prices were a little expensive, which I agree but it's definitely a you get what you pay for type of thing because the food was delicious.

I got the Tortellini con Funghi and it was very tasty. Rich creamy white sauce covered meat stuffed tortellini with chopped up mushrooms scattered around. Yum!  My hubby ordered the pepperoni pizza which was tasty but way too expensive for the amount he got.

Overall, good service, good food...I would definitely recommend this place and especially for someone looking for a new place for a date night. :)

Antonino's is well kept secret serving excellent Italian food! That paired with a nice bottle of wine (which by the way, is the only place in Rancho with no corkage fee as long as the wine is from The Wine Taylor across the way) makes for a wonderful dining experience.

Not a fan of lamb because of its gamey flavor, I must admit their lamb chops are quite amazing! Their Imperiala (sp?) with tender pieces of filet  mignon and jumbo shrimp over a bed of angel hair pasta lightly spicey with garlic, basil, olive oil, is to die for!

The quality of their food has remained consistently high for at least the past couple of years. As a resident of Rancho for 23 years dining out more than in, having had the unique opportunity to enjoy some unique and creative dishes at new local restaurants only to their doors after 1-5 yrs, we highly recommend this place to anyone seeking excellent Italian food at a reasonable price especially when there is always a coupon to be found in the mail or local magazine. How could anyone possibly ask for more?! Go ahead...check them out. I'm confident you'll be pleased. Bon appetito :-)

Very nice inside and great spot to just have a nice date with a loved one or family without having to pay for overpriced meals. The food was great and at reasonable prices anywhere from $7-20$ depending what you like. I used yelp to help determine whether I should eat here or not. I told my boyfriend about the reviews so about a month back we tried it and loved it!! Very relaxing environment and our waiter was great also.  The bread was delicious and you could taste the freshness of the food! They also have a full bar on the other side of the restaurant with lots of Yummy drinks to order. We had trouble finding it only because my gps was telling us wrong path but I would def refer this place and eat at again:)

So I was craving Italian food and did not want to go to one of those chain restaurants.. We found this place on yelp and decided to give it a shot. Glad we did!

The ambience in this place is very nice. It is casual yet elegant dining.

The service was great.. Very friendly and personable. A man named Luigi kept coming by our table to make sure we were happy. He even gave us a little history on the place when he found out it was our first time there.

They have a nice wine list as well as a full bar. Check it out! I was pleased with my White Riesling.

Our party ordered the Calamari appetizer, Penne alla Vodka, Eggplant Parmigiana, and Pepperoni Pizza. Everything was really good! I was especially happy with the Eggplant Parmigiana. It was stuffed with ricotta cheese, mushrooms and sun dried tomatoes and baked with Mozzarella cheese on top. Better than any other I have had!

Highly recommended place! Definitely will be back to try other dishes.

Went for the first time, and was surprised to see that it was almost fancy looking on the inside, which you wouldn't expect from the exterior of the place.

Had the fetuccinne alfredo with chicken, which was excellent, and a good portion. The starter bread was good, but I've had better. Service was also good, except I don't know if it was because there were literally only 5 of us in the dining room, or what, but our server/hostess kept checking in on us every 5 minutes, which pretty much felt like she was interrupting our conversation as often as possible. Can't really blame her though, because she was nice...but still, really, it became an annoyance after the 45th checking...

Overall, good food, and will probably return again.

Wanted to love this place but didn't. I get irritated when the menu says one thing & you are given another  & expected to overlook/enjoy the discrepancy. The caprese salad, my first course, advertised buffalo mozzarella. One of my favorites. No way! I called it out to the manager's attention that it was definitely not the buffalo mozzarella highlighted on the menu. No creaminess as expected. Barely could stab it with a knife. Manager lied when put to the test which undermined the credibility  of the whole  meal. Pasta dish was fettucine with eggplant & was so  skimpy with eggplant they should have been embarrassed. Not cheap and definitely not worth the price. Only good part was the bread. It was excellent. Service sucked  & then found out server was a manager. What does that tell you? Won't ever go for lunch again, maybe dinner...maybe...

Have eaten here many times since moving here in early 90's. They have moved into a much larger facility in the same parking lot (used to be Zendejas) which allows them to accommodate more diners. The food is better than average.  My wife and I really enjoy the Filet Mignon.  I know-it's an Italian restaurant-what are we doing ordering a steak. The main reason is the quality of the meat and the reasonable price. We also like the side dishes that come with that choice.  The service has always been good and the food has mostly comes out hot (this is extremely important to me, I don't like "warm" or worse). The owner is very observant and keeps a good watch over the operations to make sure everyone is enjoying their  meal.
They have added one more reason for me to go there on Saturdays.  They had tried a few forms of entertainment in the lounge, but none seemed to work until they tried karaoke. I admit it-I am a karaoke freak.. If you are thinking about trying it, don't hesitate-give it a try.

We showed up around 4:45 on a saturday night. There was only us a 3 other tables but about 20 mins later the placed really started to fill up. It seemed like everybody knew the waitress and alot knew  the owner. Alot of regulars. We where also the youngest people there by 30 years :-)

My wife ordered the ravioli di spinaci because of reviews on here and she loved it. I ordered the linguini with pesto sauce and i wanted to eat more but i was full. I think i took more then half to go. The bread wasnt that good and the balsamic vinagar  was bad and the salad was nothing special. We would go back for sure. As others said, it is probably the best italian place in rancho.

Best Italian in Rancho! The gnocchi is good, the ravioli di spinaci is delicious, and the eggplant parmigiana is my favorite. They have a good selection of wine that includes local wines (their wine rep is a supplier for many restaurants in the area and really knows her stuff!). To top it off, their staff is always friendly.

Go there, enjoy it, and if you're lucky the nail salon next door will have their "Hot Oil Man" sign up in the window! (I had no idea hot oil manicures existed until I saw the sign)

Get out of town really! 4 Stars-Really! maybe my situation was isolated but I would have a hard time to comeback here again...
I reserved my table to be given one of the worst table in the restaurant... Ok it was a saturday night maybe it was busy so I will give this a pass.
So I was with a date and my waitress comes to takes our order for drinks. Tell me why does this waitress so called "manager" handles a complain in front my table while in the middle of taking my order for wine... Then she walks away doesn't come back for 10 mins I had to get another server to get her attention to finish our drink order.
She apologize and all is forgiven but here comes the kicker- I order a plate (can't remember the name) but it was a pasta dish with fillet mignon and shrimp... till me why in the world did they cook my meat well-medium... WHO DOES THAT! granted the waitress didn't ask how I wanted my meat but what chief cooks fillet mignon well-medium?
My experience at Rosa's was way better... da heck with this place!

Went to Antonino's at the corner of Vineyard and Foothill in Rancho Cucamonga for the 3rd time this evening.  The food has been excellent.  We enjoyed the happy hour for 1/2 price on some items - all of which we were looking forward to trying.  Today the calamari was fantastic.   I would recommend this restaurant to anyone to who enjoys good food - be it Italian or otherwise.  Jennifer was our server in the bar area - attentive, personable and delivered the food to our table hot and ready to enjoy.

One star is for the interior of the restaurant- very nice. One star is for the bread they serve before your meal- very good. It's all downhill from there:
This place was reccomended to us by our Italian tailor. My husband and I came for lunch on a Saturday. The waitress we had was scary. I say this in all seriousness- I think she was on something. She was frantic and wild eyed for no reason because there was only one other table there besides us. She made us feel so uncomfortable and anxious. Then we had to listen to her and the other waiter argue about wether she needed help serving drinks or not. Not pleasant.
Then the food- i ordered linguini with scallops in marinara sauce- it was bland. Hubby got a sausage and mushroom pizza. It was better than the pasta but not great. We will not be returning.

One of the best Italian Food Restaurants in the Inland Empire. Hidden away amongst a bunch of stores in a strip mall. I have never had anything bad here. I took my family here and they were all floored. Great food, for about $20 dinner. Im very critical on Italian and this ranks as one of my favorites. Service is great.
One of the best value and very close to fine dining...for the price its a steal

I came here a second time and have to in good conscience revise the review down.  Service is splendid, but the food was a slight disappointment in contrast to the first time.

Skip the calamari fritti as it is overbattered and bland.  See my original review for recs.

I went here for a friends baby shower a few years ago.

The food was delicious. Nothing too spectacular but everybody enjoyed there food. Their staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. They have a decent wine list too. That's always a plus!

This place is good for groups as well as a small private romantic dinner.

So I finally made good on giving this place another chance. I'm very glad that I did! Here's why:

    1.  Ambiance. Their new location may be in the same strip mall, but they have definitely upgraded the interior of the restaurant. I would definitely recommend taking a date here for a romantic dining experience.

    2.  Service. What a difference in service from the last time I came here. In addition to being very friendly and informative, our waiter also provided us with speedy, efficient service.

    3.  Food. It was good! Much better than the last time I was here. The chicken was tender and tasty, the mushrooms were fresh, and the pasta was cooked just right and was complimented by some pretty tasty marinara sauce and sausage.

I'm glad I decided to give this place another try and will be back in the near future.

Absolutely LOVE this place.  Been here several times and have NEVER been disappointed.  Service is great, food is great, freshly baked bread is amazing, even the house wine is fabulous.

Just one step up from your local Olive Garden. Too dark and empty inside. Water provided was from the tap with black specs floating around. Had the gnocchi which was made with instant mashed potatoes from the store. The gnocchi was the cheapest entree on the menu, I guess I found out why. Also my girlfriend's pizza was undercooked. The staff was helpful and the bread was good but I don't think we would go there again.

This ranks up on my list of places to get Italian food. Luigi is the best sever you can ask for. If you buy a bottle or two from the Wine Taylor next door the restaurant does not charge a corking fee, which is great. They serve some of the best steak I have ever had for the price. I suggest you try the filet mignon. I got to meet the owner once and they were very friendly.

This place great down home Italian. Lots of bog flavor. The portions are good size and prce is reasonable. This is a good place for a casual meet up or date night with the better half.

Their pastas and sauces were DELICIOUS! Their salads are NOT fresh. I was given wilted greens on a small plate and charged me $3.99 for it. Overpriced. Our server was friendly and accomodating, but absent. We were constantly looking for him. Atmosphere is a mixture of jean-tshirt-wearing to dress-shirts and slacks.

The interior of this place was very nice, great atmosphere a little romantic but not over the top. We started off dinner with two huge fresh baked rolls, with oil and balsamic vinegar the best way to eat bread. Followed by 4 bruschetta $5.50 very good lots of chunky tomatoes, a little oily. For dinner we had the angle hair pasta with shrimp, tomatoes, and mushrooms around $20 very good. I looked forward to coming back to this place and trying different foods. The server Fernando was great really took care of us.

We actually go to Antonio's quite often and are never disappointed. And we usually ask for Luigi as our server because he provides excellent customer service - he will even sing 'happy birthday' in Italian if he is told ahead of time. Antonio's has excellent food and is affordable. Although the pizza is not great, you have to understand that the restaurant is more of a gourmet restaurant rather than a pizza joint. If you want good pizza, go to Round Table.
