This morning, stopped by for tea/coffee with a friend. By 9:30 a.m., the place was so packed that it felt like being in a club at 9:30 at night! My buddy, who is a regular, says that this local gem isn't usually this packed in the early daylight hours. Will need a few more visits to see what's going on....

Antoinette's does top-notch baked goods. We had a hazelnut biscotti, a large muffin, a big mug of coffee and a nice cup of tea. All for $9.50 including tax, no tip. The room is sweet. The crowd is local and reasonably attractive -- everyone from guys hanging out with their laptops to moms with kids, random couples and single folks catching up with friends.

This place is great!!! I love the environment and the staff is very nice. It is not quite like France but it has a great atmosphere and just to sit there and take my breakfast is very enjoyable. I can never decide what to order because everything always looks great. I usually go with a croche monsieur and a chai latte. I really love this cute place.

Excellent latte. Delicious muffin, then a free cup of house blend for the road! Awesome!

This is NOT a pastry shop, so pastry lover, take note!

We looked forward to visiting this spot for a few month after moving into the area and finally found our way here on a Saturday afternoon.  What we discovered is that this is no French pastry shop. It's the local coffee house with a few random items in a cooler.

While the staff is friendly, they're a bit clueless, having no idea how to make a cafe Americano.  When we decided to try a slice of the cheesecake in the cooler, the only appealing thing there, the friendly pony-tailed owner/manager/employee said he'd get it for us. Then, his colleague came to the front to tell us that because she only have one, she didn't want to "slice it up".

The little shop is cute but bland and as we sat to sip our very weak coffees, a local lady came in to ask for a couple of croissants which apparently they happen to routinely have. Again, the owner/manager woman flutters to the counter, pushing her male colleague away to explain they didn't have any. The lady pouts a bit and says "Every time I decide to stop in, you never have anything you say you offer."  She then smiled and decided to have a coffee.

A complete disappointment.  I have absolutely no idea where all these glowing 5-star reviews are coming from, but we were a little sad to have our hopes of a little patisserie near-by dashed by the reality of a bland coffee shop on the outskirts of downtown hastings.  Take a pass and try the very real, charming little bakery down the street in the center of town!

Patisserie? This lady makes her own truffles, cheese cake and great bread and rolls too! Cappuccino is strong but takes time to make. I love Antoinette's, unfortunately I am not the only one. There were several occasions that I had to forgo getting breakfast, lunch or pastries there, because it was impossible to find parking. Parking regulations in neighboring streets seem to be made up to prevent business. On warm days it is so inviting to sit outside with a pastry or a coffee, although there are some seats outside, the sidewalk is narrow, it would be so desirable to have a real inviting place this quality with an outside cafe, maybe closer to the center of the village, that people from the other side of Hastings can walk.

This place is always packed...and there is good reason for it.  The fresh coffee and homemade food is excellent.  They offer a wide variety of coffee beverages both hot and iced.

The staff is the only thing better than the coffee.  They are on a first name basis with all the regulars and if you are not a regular they sure make you feel like one, always going the extra mile, whether it being offering an extra shot of espresso or offering to try one of their delicious baked goods.

Live music is a staple on the weekends and more often than not it is very good and fits the quiet sophistication of the coffee shop.  When the weather is nice they will also have sidewalk seating.

If you are looking for a break from the big coffee chains this is the place to go!!

Best cappuccino and best coffee in Westchester (I have tried them all!) And yes-- a very charming place with wonderful staff. This place keeps getting better.

Mmm!  This place is amazing.  Do yourself a favor and go check it out.  Actually, don't - I wish it were a tiny bit less popular so I could actually get a croissant before they all sell out.  Good thing all the other breakfast options are great (and cheap!)  Oh, and Dude who works there is the best.

Him: Want lox with the omelet?  [No charge]
    Us: Sure!
Him: Want a free coffee refill?
    Us: Yes!
Him: Want another coffee to go?  On the house.
Us: No, we couldn't possibly, we've already had three...
    Him: I insist.
Us: Yes!  You are the coolest.
It would've been worth moving the 2,000 miles just for this place.  ;)

I have to up this to 5 stars. Jane and Jaime are the 2 hardest working (and incredibly gorgeous) waitresses/servers I've seen in a long time. If only every business could have workers as great as them!
Also, if they have the double chocolate mousse cake (with the strawberries on top), GET IT. So tasty on a Sunday afternoon, I spoiled my dinner.

So I have just tried them once hence this review might be prone to review, but the espresso shot I had rivals some of the best that Blue Bottle in SF pulled.

Without the pomp necessitated by a line of hipsters.

I hate to be the only person to give this place 3 stars, because this place is definitely cool.  Very cool staff, cool decorations, cool that they process their own in-house coffee beans, cool that they actually take their time to pull each shot.  But taking a step back from all the coolness:  the coffees are good but not great, the croissants are a little stale, the space is a little cluttered and cramped, and the location is awkward and far from the center of town.  Not that 3-stars is a bad rating;  Antoinette's is a solid choice to pass by for a better-than-Starbucks coffee and to chill for a bit. But, I wouldn't necessarily go out of my way for it.

I love Antoinettes Patisserie!! This quaint little cafe is off the main street of Hastings and a wonderful stop for brunch or lunch.  The sandwiches are made out of all fresh ingrediants, ranging from red peppers to fried zuchini to roast beef and all stuffed into soft Italian bread.  The flavors are great, and the sandiwich is vibrant, healthy, and tasty.  The dark hot chocolate is another favorite, as it is sprinkled in cocoa powder over a rich milk foam that makes it one of my favorite hot chocolates in the area.  In addition the linzhertart I had was the best I have ever had, and I usually don't like that type of cookie.  Plus, the banana bread was moist with a hint of nutmeg and cinnamon.  For me, this place gets an A+.

Antoinette's had some of the best customer service I've ever experienced.  In addition, it had fantastic coffee, incredible homemade oatmeal with fresh fruit, cinnamon and maple syrup, and a homemade, oven-warmed, banana chocolate chip muffin.  Absolutely delicious!  Up against some really great breakfast places in Manhattan, Antoinette's was my favorite.

Antoinette's has it all.  From their own roasted beans, selected and blended with exquisite care, to amazing sandwiches and salads (try avocado, strawberries, goat cheese) to a wonderful atmosphere and ambiance, to eclectic music, live and recorded, to friendly, caring service, they've been here five years and are still a well kept secret in Hastings-on-Hudson. Walk or bike the nearby Old Croton Aqueduct trail, then reward yourself with a sinful pastry or an amazingly smooth but potent espresso. But come during the day because they close at 6pm.

YUM! Antoinettes has one of the best lattes that I have ever tasted and at half the price of Starbucks. The service is great - fast and friendly and always willing to get you a glass of water, etc. I'm also a fan of their baked goods. I've had the cranberry/orange muffin and the banana bread. This is the type of place that I would expect to see in the East Village or Williamsburg.

Antoinette's is a quaint little cafe in Hastings on Hudson. It is not directly in town, but it is about 2 1/2 blocks from Main Street and Warburton. Their coffee and cheesecake is to die for! I grew up on Antoinette's food way before the cafe was open and it's definitely amazing! It is not wheelchair accessible because there is a step up getting in. It's all pretty small, but a wheelchair user can definitely manuever around. I would definitely check it out! They also have live music sometimes from local artists!
