We discovered this place sort of randomly, I mean, who ever knew there were decent wineries in the Poconos?  Anyway, I digress.  We stopped in for a wine tasting, which frankly, was truly awesome.  Their wines aren't expensive, but they do have some award winners and they are all reasonably priced.  Personally, I found their sweet wines to be the best.  The downside?  They can't ship outside PA, so either stock up when you go, or become friendly with someone in the state who will pick up cases for you.

Don't go here expecting a tour or anything - it's a small shop that does tastings.  Free tastings, but if you want to go see some vineyards or processing gear, this is not the place for you.
Eight tastings (and I mean tastings...the pours where you get .25 oz) and they favor sweeter wines (which is the norm for northern vineyards).  They did seem to have a nice amount of drier wines which my husband and I were like "yeah...we should really have those" after being grossed out by a sickly sweet "semi sweet" wine they had.  The lady then said, "okay we'll do this" which was their Riesling...LADY.  Did you not hear me say no more sweet wines?  We kind of had to stamp our feet and say no more.

But, the dry wines were quite good - they had a nice unoaked Chard and their Cab Franc was really good, but my husband preferred the Cab Sauv so we got that instead.  The bottles were $14-$17 a piece, which I am happy to pay to support a local winery.  Even if they try to make me drink blueberry wine.  Gah.
