My husband and I were celebrating our 4th Wedding Anniversary and we wanted to do something special.  We had heard about this place on the Old Town Ghost tour (super fun btw! I would have loved it more if it was about 20 degrees colder though).. Anyway the tour mentioned it is the most romantic restaurant in Albuquerque, so we figured we would give it a try.
We arrived early and had to wait a little which we didn't mind at all.  It was a little warm being that we were sitting very close to this huge grill.  The gentleman by the front (not sure if he was the owner or manager) was very attentive to us and hurried his staff to get us seated.  We were sat at a cozy booth with wedding confetti decorating the table (very thoughtful of them!).
Now to the good stuff..  Our server was awesome!! He planned our food timing perfectly.  We did not feel rushed to eat, nor did we sit for a long time wondering where our food was... It was perfect timing!
We started with some fresh raw oysters from the Pacific North West area (WA I think) and a split bottle of champagne. The oysters were delicious!  I am from CA, and love me some oysters!
Next we had the mix baby green salad with candied pecans, pear slices, dried cranberries, strawberries and this amazing baked brie wrapped in phyllo dough with pear vinaigrette dressing.  There was also the option for bacon in the salad but I opted out... The combination of flavors was fantastic!
For my main course I ordered the Scallops Jalapeno.  I was afraid the jalapeno would over power, but not at all.  The scallops were prepared to perfection.  The cooks really know what they are doing.
My husband and I were both overstuffed with our meal that unfortunately we had no room for desert!  I think next time I will make sure to save some room.

    A little pricey? Yep...but there's a reason.

The personal attention from the owner, first off, is amazing. He will come to your table, ask how everything is, and explain exactly what you're eating, where it's from, how it's prepared and even tell you the relationship he has with the guy he got it from.

The food is prepared very well. I have never had anything I didn't like. The crab legs are phenomenal (although they sell out quickly). The shrimp scampi is good, the filet mignon is good. I can also recall one butternut squash bisque that was fantastic.

The ambiance is very quaint. There is a fire grill in the front of the restaurant with the rest of the line behind it where you can see everything being prepared. For seating, they have these small, intimate booths and low lighting.

    I think it's a great place for a date.

Scenic Old Town.  A great romantic date option.  Beautiful ambiance and real New Mexico character. Cashew chicken good but filet is amazing.

Our favorite restaurant in Albuquerque. It's in Old Town, which is mostly a tourist trap, but Antiquity is anything but.

There aren't many table in the restaurant, so a reservation is a must. We were greeted and seated by the owner, who made us feel like we were regulars with his friendliness. The booths are very private and perfect for that special dinner.

Shortly after being seated, our server came up and introduced himself and told us he would be back in a minute. About 10 minutes later he returned, saying he had to deliver a bunch of hot food at once. There appeared to be plenty of bussers around to help with that, but OK.

Then he rattled off about 5 minutes of in-depth specials. Both of us ordered the fish special, and skipped the appetizers, instead opting to upgrade our salads. The upgraded salad comes with a bunch of extras, including nuts and a toasted piece of brie cheese on top.

Let me be clear: UPGRADE YOUR SALAD.

We also ordered a bottle of local champagne, that was pretty reasonably priced. Both our champagne glasses and water glasses were kept filled throughout dinner.

We ordered the Creme Brulee for dessert, which was good, but nothing special. Listening to other waiters, it sounded like there was a dessert sampler option that we weren't ever offered (I think he neglected to mention the crab special as well at the beginning of the meal).

Overall, everything was excellent. My only complaint was our server, who's multiple extended absences left us baffled as to where he disappeared to throughout the meal.

It's expensive, so we try to only go on special occasions, but as delicious as the food its, we sometimes make up reasons to celebrate!

    Certainly worth a visit.

Surroundings are very pleasant and private as others have mentioned.

Food was very good, both of us had the specials of the day, and were very happy with our selections.

Wine selection was good, and priced very reasonably.

Not your typical "Old Town tourist trap" restaurant.

Definitely a keeper on our preferred list for Albuquerque

This place deserves 5 stars for ambiance and service. Very romantic. Ask for a booth!
But only 2 stars for value. Overpriced for the quality, imo. It's nice, but I've had better for less money.

One of my favorite places to eat in Albuquerque besides a really good cooks kitchen.

The tables are quaint and private allowing for the perfect place to meet a friend to talk or a date.

The menu is creative yet tasty, and every dish is prepared with that individual touch as the owner looks each one over as they come out of the kitchen.

The staff and owner are great to talk to weather you're a tourist or an old time New Mexican.

I recommend this place to anyone looking for a good place to go.

    One word: YUM!

My husband's birthday fell during our roadtrip, so I wanted to go somewhere nice for dinner. We had a wonderful time shopping in Old Town, and this was a great place to unwind and have a relaxing and fulfilling meal. I was a little nervous that it would be a little stuffy, but it was simply not the case. The atmosphere is intimate and dimly lit, but the dress is casual. The waiter picked up on our nerd vibes, and made us feel very comfortable the whole night.

We had a bottle of sauvignon blanc,
delicious crab cakes for an appetizer,
    two filet mignons,
and the (extremely rich) three creme crepe for dessert.

I would highly recommend this steakhouse if you're looking for a local eatery with super friendly staff and a great menu.

I had a very pleasant experience at Antiquity. It's a cosy little place with a charcoal grill for the steak right when you come in the door, which hits you with great smells.
I got the salad special which had a chunk of fried brie that was fantastic, not to mention the yummy salad with pears, raspberries, walnuts, cranberries, and a pear vinaigrette.
I got the salmon special which was crusted in cashews and served with rice and a pineapple/fruit salsa-ish thing. The dish as a whole was a bit dry, but the salmon itself was very good. My coworker got the scallops and enjoyed those as well. I wish I'd had room for dessert!

We go here for special dinners, always on our wedding anniversary, because of the intimate atmosphere, great waitstaff, and incredible food.  Get the Henry V (filet mignon, artichoke heart, bernaise sauce...yum!), but rest of menu also fine.  Good wine choices.  Nice location very near the Old Town Plaza, but easy to miss as it is very small and off a side street towards Central Avenue.  This is not a "tourist trap," it is one of the nicest places to eat in Albuquerque (we live in West Old Town).

We visited Antiquity with some friends of ours who live in Albuquerque.  The restaurant itself is in Old Town which is a really nice area of the city.    Being visitors, it was a bit difficult to find because they entrance, etc is pretty inconspicuous but once inside, the people were very nice.   We got seated right away and the food was really good.

It was noisy - but also our table was kind of elevated and tucked away so we could talk to our friends.  The waiter made some very good recommendations and everyone thoroughly enjoyed our food.

    We will definitely go back.

My husband and I had the pleasure of visiting Antiquity while we were in town.  Gorgeous restaurant in an old building, and you can smell the aroma of the food from the street.   It's a nice greeting.

We started off with the Oysters Rockafeller, which I highly recommend.  They were definitely some of the best I've had.  Perfectly cooked, and were topped with a bernaise sause which was what I particularly enjoyed.

I moved on to the Jalepeno Shrimp, which were the perfect amount of spicy.  They were served with mashed potatoes, which were pretty good in flavor, but a little on the dry side.  Steamed veggies also came as a side, and were topped with an orange hollandaise sauce.  I had never had hollandaise made with orange juice (vs lemon), but it was surprisingly yummy and tasted almost a little like honey butter.  I'll have to try that at home some time...

The wine selection is extensive and the desserts are also very tasty.  We had the Creme Brulee, and it was just as divine as our entrees.

Another thing that I liked about this place, is that although I would consider it a "fancy" restaurant, we felt comfortable wandering in the door in shorts and flip flops.  It is located right in Old Town, and like so many others in the restaurant, we had been spending the day sight-seeing.

I highly recommend Antiquity, and I'm sure that we'll be going back if we ever find ourselves in Albuquerqe again.

Located just off the historic Albuquerque Old Town Plaza near Rio Grande Blvd. and Route 66 ( Central Ave )

This is just a consistently excellent place to dine.

I have ate here for years on a regular basis and never had a bad experience.

Food is excellent. Service is excellent.

Great steaks and seafood. Everything on the menu is good.

I recommend that you make reservations as they are always busy.

Parking is often a problem as the area is busy and congested. They do not have a private lot. Watch were you park as places will tow your car off.

Great atmosphere, friendly service and neat location.  Booths are the way to go.  Food was extremly overpriced and nothing special.  One steak was overcooked other underdone no big deal if the price was not so high.

This was another of our B&B host's recommendations and we saved it for our last dinner in Albuquerque.  It''s a small restaurant w/ only 14 tables, so reservations are a must.  We walked over from the B&B, a relatively short walk across the parking lot, and were seated in a cozy two-top that reminded us of our favorite spot at New Sammy's Cowboy Bistro.

We looked over the menu and then waited to be told about the specials.  Pam was our waitress and she explained all the specials and helped Alan, who didn't want a beer, to try a couple of wines.  He explained he only drinks sweet wines because those w/ any acidity upset his stomach.  He was interested in a Riesling but she steered him toward a Gewurtztraminer she thought would be more interesting.  One swallow told him it wouldn't work.  Pam took it back and brought the Riesling.  A few sips of that and he became uncomfortable, so she traded it for a dark beer.  All this w/ grace and good humor.  I had an Old Vine Zinfandel.  I forget the winery.  It was good and was a generous pour.

A basket of breads was brought w/ butter.  Water glasses were kept full.  We ordered stuffed mushrooms to start but Pam pointed out they had Italian sausage in them and recommended the sauteed mushrooms instead.  We decided to have them w/ our entrees.  I ordered the Tenderloin au Poivre Vert and Alan ordered the Hawaiian marlin that was one of the specials.  Both came w/ salad which we had dressed w/ oil ad vinegar w/ blue cheese crumbles.  The salad was delicious, w/ waffle cut carrots, sliced mushrooms, slices of cucumber and assorted lettuces.  Alan's fish was delicious.  It was finished w/ a Thai coconut/basil sauce and accompanied by an edamame puree.  Roasted vegetables, mostly cauliflower and carrots finished the plate.  My steak was perfectly medium rare and the sauce was rich and tasty w/ sauteed mushrooms and green peppercorns and cream.  The same lovely cauliflower and carrots accompanied it was well as red bell pepper garlic mashed potatoes.  It looked like sweet potatoes, but lacked the sweetness and we had to ask Pam to identify it. The sauteed mushrooms didn't make it to the table but we had more than enough food.

We were very happy w/ our dining experience and would return if we lived here.  Next time we're in Albuquerque we'll be sure to have another meal here.

Wow! Outstanding service it was like dinner and a show all rapped into one the waiter had memorized the entire menu and a load of specials and introduced them to us like old friends. Very nice setting , dim lighting and romantic. A place to take your love interest for sure that will score some major points. The food was fantastic and nice drink list . good pour on the black and tan ! Will be back !

One of the best restaurant experiences I ever had.  All of the food was fantastic.  The oysters rockefeller, scallops, and the filet mignon were fantastic.

On top of that the owner Steve constantly visited with us and gave us recommendations.  He was a gracious host.  Again, one of the best restaurant experiences I have ever had.

I recommend the Chicken cashew and Polyczenta. Absolutely delicious! Sometimes they have Wasabi mash potatoes. Also a must-try!

Chicken Cashew - Sliced breast of chicken flambéed with sherry, soy sauce, onion, cashews and New Mexican red chili

Polyczenta (poli-chenta) - Ground walnuts with cream, wrapped in a crepe and drizzled with hot chocolate
