    YUMMMS.
let me start of by saying my boyfriend and I tried this place on a whim after reading so many good reviews on here from fellow yelpers.

    we were not disappointed.
honestly felt like we died and went to heaven.
(we don't know what people were talking about giving this place less then 4 stars)

our entrees were some of the best italian dishes we had ever had.
my boyfriend got the soup to start off which i believe was a chicken vegetable, and a chicken cesar salad.
i ordered the ricotta gnocci alfredo and mushroom. this defiantly HIT THE SPOT.

the atmosphere was very quaint and old school italian, also our server reminded us of adam sandler.

parking is kinda tight and frustrating, yet i guess this is what you get from dining in Lynn Lynn the city of sin.

    will be back! :)

I don't give out 5 Stars often but I love this place, food is always outstanding. Bread and dipping oil one of the best I've had.
Waiters are always friendly although we did get a rather quirky one once that I think was new and was still learning the ropes.
Just discovered they are open for Lunch and food is still super and reasonably priced -  Best Grilled Pork chops ever, everything is top shelf. A hidden gem.

While the restaurant & food is awesome, it wouldn't hurt them to treat me a little better.  I did spend a lot of $$$ (Cool drink specials ^_^)

With that said, certainly a hidden gem - and I'll be back.

Love the eggplant rollatine app, the waiter that tells you to drive safe cause his girlfriend is out there and I crave the chicken valdostana (at least the half portion I split with the wife - it's huge (TWSS))!

I hate to give this place two stars because the food and prices are spot-on. I think I've ordered every pizza on the menu and liked them all. My husband has tried a number of the pasta dishes and talked about them the whole ride home.  We were so excited to have found this little spot.

However, on my last visit to Antique Table I was taking one of my interns out for a "farewell" lunch and we were seated by the row of windows at the front of the restaurant. I didn't notice it right away but when I turned toward the windowsill it was littered with dead bugs (flies mostly). I was so disgusted (it was obvious that they had been there for a while - it wasn't just one or two) and prayed that my poor intern wouldn't notice before I could pay the check.

We've been to Antique Table many times. The first time was on a whim as we wanted to try a new 'find' but the 2nd time and the rest were to fulfill the craving we had for great pastas and wine!!

My wife and I are committed to working our way through the menu. So far we've tried and LOVED:

    The di mare--straight foodie heaven
    The Linguine meatballs--savory awesomeness
    The linguine with clams--delicious!
    The osobucco--yum and hearty
The sweet sausage oricchieti --really good
The sampi pizza--goes really well with la crema noir "wine"
    The salmon--top notch
The veal parm and veal piccata--sinful delicious
The pork chops and the mussels with garlic and white wine--out of this world

    The fckn amazing martinis!!

We go during the day when service is primo and the vibe is mellow.

But believe it or not, as I save the best for last, the table garlic oil w red pepper flakes that is served with bread upon seating, is INSANELY delicious! Keep it on the table during your meal and have multiple culinary orgasms!!

I came here on a work trip to Saugus recently. The group I was working with suggested something local before we went out to Boston the next day. I was just excited to go out to eat for the first time in MA. I was excited about the people I was going with, the food, the accents, everything.

I think it is a really cute place. From the outside you don't really know what to expect, so I'm sure they have a lot of referral based consumers. I feel like if I was Italian I could have appreciated the decor even more, however I could not relate to anything from the paintings, lamps, lighting..etc. Which is fine, I like to learn new things about different cultures and revisit the "old world," from time to time.

We were sat promptly, and it was a little busy for a Tuesday night. Our waiter was cute, but he didn't make any recommendations, explain the specials or the menu. It was a group of 7 women, and we were all talking so that's fine.

The bread was a bit odd, not warm, there was some kind of mushroom on it. The basil oil they served it with was EXCELLENT, that's why I wish the bread was a little tastier.

I had the three cheese ravioli which was terrific. The pasta was well done, the sauce could have been a little spicier, and the cheese was creamy. Everyone else's food looked good as well. Two of the girls had penne a la vodka, my only issue with that was too many large uncut vegetables on the plate.

Overall though, I had a great time. We stayed past closing and they didn't have a problem. I would definitely come back here. It was cozy, the food was tasty and I felt like I could be more like myself rather than at some other really fancy dim-lit place. Grade A recommendation.

I'm pretty stingy with 5 stars, but I'm all in when it comes to the Antique Table.  We've eaten there 3 times in the last six months, and have always left full and very impressed.  The last time was for Valentine's Day dinner.  Our reservation was for 6 o'clock and the tiny place was already packed.  Our table was waiting for us.  We had two different salads to start, my wife the special red wine and I a glass of house chianti.  Both were delicious and the salads as fresh as could be.  My wife had parmesan crusted haddock and I had one of the specials, a kind of sack-like  pasta stuffed with meat and truffle in a cream sauce.  (sacchetti?).  Both entrees were delicious.  We split a terrific tirramisu for desert.  The salads took a bit long to come out, but with the crowd they were juggling, I forgive them.  The entrees followed the salads in a very timely fashion.  The host (owner?) was welcoming, the staff attentive.  You don't go to Antique Table to have an intimate evening, tables are elbow to elbow, you come to eat very good Italian food.  I can't afford to eat there more than once every couple of months, but I plan to make a habit of it.

One of my favorite places to eat on the north shore.  All the food is to die for!  I love the atmosphere, the menu the service....literally everything is great!  I would suggest if you do want to go to make a reservation because it is rather small!  But seriously some of the best Italian food I have ever had! LOVE IT!

So we went here tonight and consider ourselves very good customers. We're there at least 1-2 times a month. We ordered the crab cakes and were very surprised when we got them that there was an added bonus. There was a fly on the lettuce which flew off and into the bread oil when we put our fork into the dish. We told Mark, our faithful waiter, an we got "new" crabcakes. My problem is that we were stil charged for them and they didn't even bother t buy us a drink. I realize business is good but please, take care of your customers. The Antique Table is now in the penalty box.

Such a hidden treasure!  Antique Table is in the most unlikely location, literally on the Lynn/ Swampscott line in a free standing building which has truly been transformed into something quite magical inside.

Trees grow through the walls with branches overhead, rustic touches abound and while it's all a little "homemade" looking the overall effect is charming.

We've been in three times now. Service is always very attentive and helpful, and my only real complaint I would have with the place is that the service can almost be TOO familiar.  That said, it's a small matter and not really a major issue.

The food is sublime. Pay special attention to the specials which are always a standout.  On my last visit I had the grilled Salmon which was cooked perfectly medium and topped with a tomato caper sauce.   The dining partner in crime had the housemade Ricotta Gnocchi.  A revelation.

Pasta is what you really want though.  The Orchiette Pasta with sausage and broccoli rabe is intoxicating.  The fusili Bolognese will make you want to lick the bowl, or at the very least, ask for more bread to mop up every last bit of sauce.

Prices are very reasonable making AT an inviting frequent stop if you live in the "hood, and a quality destination for those of us who do not.  If there is less than four of you in your party, plan to come early or wait at the bar as It's always busy and they only take reservations for parties for four or more.

    How Disappointing!

Have gone twice, but will not be going back due to our most recent terrible experience with staff and management.  Our main course was cold when it was served and it came an 90+minutes after arriving for a special dinner occasion with our family.

I complained to the management but was told sometimes "that happens in restaurants".

Numerous calls to the Owner / Senior Manager after our poor experience went with zero response.

We are telling all of our friends, relatives and co-workers to avoid this place like the Bubonic Plague as it is very disappointing and extremely over-rated.

Recommendation:   Get It Right the First Time - Quality over Quantity!

This place is a really solid Italian restaurant on the Lynn/ Swampscott line.  I loved the ambiance of the place but the service was totally lacking.  When my FI and I arrived the place was practically empty, yet we had to wait at the bar for like twenty minutes for a table to be "ready".  With that said, the bread and basil oil they give is really good.  I got the Ricotta Gnocchi and the FI got the Chicken Picatta.  Both were pretty good entrees, but nothing spectacular.  I would definitely come back here but not sure if I'd wait twenty minutes for a table again.

This place is great.  Its homey and has a great menu.  The bread is fantastic!  Luckily we were warned NOT to fill up on it.  Janet has the chicken florentine - fantastic.  I had the linguini and clams - almost the best I've ever had.  For an app we had the shrimp Grand Marnier - yummy - but a little sweet - my fault - should have seen that coming.  My only regret was not leaving room for dessert!

Another hidden gem in Lynn. A friend turned us on to Antique Table. It is a small quaint place. Very welcoming and cozy. On the last visit, I ordered spaghetti and meatballs and my husband had chicken parm. Now, we were here at 8:00pm on a Sunday night and the place was dead. There was literally only 1 other table in the place and it took forever to get drink refills. The server was very polite and did come eventually. The food is good. Not the best italian I've ever had -- go to the North End for that. But it was good and I will be back.

Exceptional Italian food and service. The menu items are a bit fancy but not ridiculous or artful just for art's sake. Everything is made from scratch and the wait staff is knowledgeable, professional, and mature. Excellent pick for just about any occasion. Seating is tight, it is probably not a great place for someone who is handicapped and cannot easily maneuver between tables.

Truly a hidden gem -- I don't think there's anything else I can say that another reviewer already hasn't.

I went there with four other people this past Saturday night and we had an amazing meal there. My boyfriend had heard about this place from a friend, and after his recent move to Lynn, we've been wanting to try it out for a while. Saturday night seemed to be the perfect time to do so. We called around 7:30 to ask if they had any open reservations that evening for a party at five, and they said we could come in at 9:00 (they close at 10pm, which is a tad early, but understandable for the 'burbs), which was perfect.

The restaurant is literally located on the Lynn/Swampscott line and there is some parking on the surrounding streets. The inside is quite small -- there were probably around a dozen tables or so, with a semi-open kitchen and a bar. There was a fake tree growing in one corner, and the tables and chairs were all wooden. "Antique Table" is the perfect name for this place, because that's exactly how it looked -- rustic and antique. It was still quite busy considering we didn't get there until 9pm. We were seated promptly and Maureen came to get our drink order (I don't know if she's an owner or whatnot, but it seemed like it). She is exactly like how I would have pictured an Italian mother -- right down to the sense of humor!

We got two appetizers to share (mussels and bruschetta), a bottle or Chianti, and each of us got an entree. We asked for the mussels to be made with a spicy red sauce, which they happily accommodated, and it was delicious! The mussels were nice and meaty, the portions were huge, and the sauce was very spicy -- just how we asked for it. The bruschetta was incredibly fresh and delicious as well. For dinner, I had the Gnocci Basilico and it was wonderful. The gnocci was a tad burnt on one side, but the sauce it was in was wonderful and everyone else enjoyed their food as well. A quiet table is always good, because it means everyone is busy eating!

The final bill for five entrees, two appetizers, a bottle of wine, and six Peronis came to a little under $150. We were shocked when we saw how low the bill was! If you are anywhere in the area, or if you are willing to make the trek up to Lynn, this place is definitely worth checking out. Manga manga!

Finally a nice family style italian place on the North Shore, with reasonable prices!

I had the chicken parm...ahhh so delicioius. And my date had the seafood special. He LITERALLY wiped the bowl clean of that incredible sauce.

Then for dessert we split the cutest, tastiest little canoli with some sort of liquor "digestiv" with coffee beans in it. It complemented the canoli perfectly, though it was a little sweet. Maybe next time we'll order two canolis to help wash it down. :)

Overall a delicious, romantic spot for two or even a small group. They do not take reservations for parties of two and got pretty busy by 7pm. The service was excellent. My favorite was the ambiance. After a glass of wine and a taste of their delicious bread you will be transported to a place far far away from the streets of Lynn/ Swampscott.

    Can't wait to go back!

Oh and we also saw a lady picking up takeout... mmmm We'll be trying that for sure.

I read the reviews before I went. I found this establishment to be a 5 Star restaurant. The decor was interesting and made me feel like I was in a top shelf place. The staff was wonderfully attentive and caring. Yes, the place is packed and therefore noisy, yet in a manner that was not a problem. Interesting people in an interesting place, if you will.
The food matches the rest of the place; top shelf. Yes, you will wait for your meal as everything is done from scratch. The challenge is not to load up on the excellent bread and oil, as it is a meal in itself. Drinks were promptly brought. Hats off to the Sangria, a drink easily screwed up. Theirs was simply perfect, refreshing and a hint of the greatness to come. Caesar salads were brought; cold, crisp and delicious. I ordered the Hanger Steak. It arrived cooked perfectly, accompanied by creamy garlic mashed along with leaf spinach in a butter garlic drizzle. The chicken dishes were equally superb. We shared Tiramisu for dessert. A perfect end to a perfect meal.
Yes the place can be tough to get into, so plan ahead. It will become readily apparent why it is so successful and why, apparently, most people who come here become regulars. It really is that good. Enjoy!

This place is amazing. I would consider myself a bit of a Italian food snob given I grew up in a home where Italian was served every night. The atmosphere is comfortable, the trees indoor add a rustic touch. The service was amazing. Our waitress was on top of her game and she was extremely busy on a Friday night. She would walk by the table and check if you beer was empty without you even realizing she had picked it up to check. Now onto the food - superb. I had the chicken parm because I am always hesitant to branch out to new places, it was great and I will definitely be sampling other items in the future. My mother got the chicken Florentine - it was to die for. Lobster Ravioli were good, although not very big chunks of lobster and the gnocchi basilico were tasty. The BEST part of the meal had to have been the tiramisu! They also picked up on the fact that it was my mothers birthday and brought her a chocolate mousse with "happy birthday" written in chocolate sauce. I did not even tell them it was her birthday, they just over heard and saw the present, AMAZING. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be back.

You'd never know it from the outside, but this place is fantastic.  Interior is intimate and vintage- reminds me of Dali in Somerville. Service was friendly and impeccable. Food was delicious and authentic. I had the Fettuccine Carbonara special, and did I ever need a nap afterwards. Luckily they made an excellent cappuccino as well.

We just went here with my wife and my in-laws for my wife's birthday.  Food was amazing, decor was great.  Make sure you go on a night when they don't have live music.  They play way too loud.  It's not a pub- it's too small to play music that loud.  Also, live music should be in toon....it sounded like karaoke night.  Next time let's just pipe in Italian music from the speakers.

My husband and I have been dying to try this place since it opened and just kept forgetting. I figured my birthday weekend would be the perfect excuse! It looks extremely tiny from the outside but once your in it's surprisingly roomy. I instantly loved the decor and ambiance of the restaurant. Our waiter let us sit even though our whole party wasn't there yet. The bread and oil they give you was delicious, I love pesto and crushed red pepper. Since we were all virgins to this place we decided to get a few apps and all different entrees. The meatballs were plump and flavorful, the bruchetta was a lot smaller than expected but good, and the calamari was good as well. Everyone loved their meals, which varied from a sausage and red sauce dish to a chicken and lemon wine sauce dish. I ordered a special which was surprisingly plain ( keep in mind it had capers in it which I do not like and removed, which probably added great flavor ). We ended the night with tiramisu and chocolate moose cake, ohmylord delicious! The waitstaff were professional, attentive and very nice. We all decided well have to go back soon. The only reason I couldn't give it five stars was because of my bland meal and their limited choices on beer ( no harpoon, really? Just bud and miller type beers = fail )

In summary, go check it out kids!

I have been here a few times with my girlfriends and family.  I always get the same thing every time b/c its so good I just can't help myself.  Shrimp fra diavalo, $15-16, the sauce is some of the best I've ever had, just spicy enough that I dont have to add red pepper but not overkill. The focaaccia bread and dipping oil are delish.  I've always sampled a little from everones dish and its all been good.
Had shrimp grand marnier for an app, very good as well as the eggplant rollatini.
The pasta is good perfectly and I have always had good service.  Prices are very resonable for the quality of the food.

I must say, this was romantic italy in a little box, I felt a whole other atmosphere from the moment I walked in to the time I stepped out. My husband took me here for Valentines Day and we didnt see on their website that you needed a reservation so we walked in, to our surprise you did have to make one, however they accomodated us quickly and arranged us into their schedule. The service was great, our waiter was fab! Very professional and the food was good, however I gave it 4 stars because my eggplant parm was overly oily from the virgin olive oil that the taste of the eggplant was interrupted. Overall, I had a great time and felt very much in tune with my atmosphere.

I've been here and after the initial time which was good we were overlooked, sat at the tiny bar waiting for drinks with dirty dishes in front of us. Regulars came in sat next to us, got a warm welcome and got their usual drink and small talk with the staff. That was my que to leave, have never been back and never will...there are to many good places to go where you don't get treated like trash. I'm glad some people have had a good experience but your playing Russian roulette with that place. chow.

This is a cozy little restaurant located in a safe part of Lynn.  The decor was very good, the food was very good, and the owners (a family) are very nice.  It was a bit crazy busy as expected on a Saturday night and the service did suffer somewhat, but due to the crowd, not ignorance.  I think your best bet is to go mid-week, then you can enjoy it a bit more and get a better feel for the very nice family.  I met a couple there that goes there at least 1-2 times per week and they love it.

I never eat in Lynn because it's very scummy for the most parts but every now and than it does a right thing. I went there two weeks ago with my fiance. The inside is just beautiful because of all the decor and uniqueness of it. I felt like i was in a tree house in Italy somewhere. I ordered chicken picatta which was great. I didn't like how they put the pasta in a separate dish but overall it was great. Our waiter was on top of us for the most because we were the only two in the whole place but it was great. I would go back again but for something different. It was at a good price as well

After receiving several glowing recommendations about this tiny place, I decided to try it for takeout this past weekend.  Food was wonderful and my usually picky boyfriend was very pleased.

Just when you're ready to through in the towel with the city of Lynn and let the carpet bombs fly, some little place like this pops up.  Located very close to the Swampscott/Lynn line, this place has very distinct decor, it's very comfortable and intimate inside.  The only way I can describe it is as if the building was inhabited by Italian hobbits.  There are exposed wood beams and tree limbs inside of the restaurant. The service is top notch, and the food, although very traditional, has little differences that make it unique.  I loved the basil olive oil with bread as a starter.  I had the shrimp fra diabolo, which was excellent.  The shrimp were large, not overcooked, and the sauce was spicy but more in a peppery taste instead of typical red pepper flake hot.  We finished the night off with dessert which was pretty traditional, but still very good.
Lynn, we'll hold off the carpet bombing for a little while longer..

I LOVE this place.. it is literally a 3 minute walk from my house which is great and also a little dangerous! I can't even count how many times I've been  there.. I literally go to the gym EXTRA just so I can indulge in their Boscaiola pizza, lobster ravioli, or whatever I am in the mood for.. I've tried so many things on their menu & I am happy every time. The service is fabulous & the inside is ADORABLE!! i love it =)

Excelent Lynn restaurant. I loved the carbonara and finished dinner with one of the best cappuccinos I have ever had. Call ahead because the place is small.

Have been there a few times. Food is good, service is attentive, but the noise level on a busy night is unbearable. Last time I went could not stay!
