Review from Courtney M.
Tempe, AZ
I have a pretty hard time getting antique merchants to take me seriously. They almost always assume I'm some little girl who wants some storybooks and not a serious collector who would pay $200+ for the right first edition Dr Seuss book if it presented itself. (So what? I'm a 24 year old who looks 13!)
That was how it went down at this place. The guy actually laughed at me when I asked him to open the case to see his first editions.
But that embarrassment aside, the variety was wide and I enjoyed walking around looking at how many different things they had. I really liked the section with all the rock memorabilia. Not just the Beatles like most stores but also Bob Dylan and other staples ;} -
Review from Susan D.
-WEIRD antique store, like another Yelper posted - "it's more like a museum..."
-LOTS Taxidermy animal heads (including a "pink" earless elephant head, which made me sad), creepy mannequins, and lots of interesting old antiquities, not just vintage things like you see at other antique malls.
-Check out the back of the store - there is a "Last Supper" mannequin display (see my photo)...I was a little scared. Very CREEPY!
-They also do live auctions...probably on the finer, upper-end antiques.
-Very RUDE employees!!!! I won't get into details.
-I'm surprised that this place is still in business.
-OVERPRICED!
-Convient parking - next door to another antique mall (SKIP this place and go to the Antique Trove next door). -

I think this Antique Mall is pretty scary...it's part cheesy and has some weird stuff in here. When you walk in, you see this bright red lounge carpet that leads up to the register.
No one acknowledged me when I walked in. The lady behind the counter just ignored me, staring at her computer. You get a negative vibe when you walk in.
I felt like I just entered some kind of museum of bizarre oddities and such...a whole booth with scary voodoo statues and frightening masks, creepy store-front mannequins, more creepy Indian and Prospector Pete ("Josh") mannequins....did I just wander into Rawhide?
There was a booth with old-time clothing...it was like an old-Victorian attic. The Vendors were in their booth filling it up, but they weren't very friendly at all. I complimented their booth and either they were deaf or thought I was invisible.
There was also some Asian art, fine art (that I was afraid to walk near), super expensive antiques, TONS of LP records, and a whole booth full of Beatles memorabilia.
I like that this Antique Mall is in what used to be a bowling alley at one time...probably from the 60's guessing from the exterior of the building. I would had spent more time shopping if it wasn't so hot inside the building. Was the A/C broken?
I'm not sure if I liked this place, because there was ONLY one-friendly guy in the whole place...everyone else just snubbed me. The same lady at the counter was NOT friendly at all when I checked out. Antique shops are usually full of friendly folks, not here. Too bad.
**AVOID**

Review from Kelsee I.
This place is more like a museum than an antique shop. There is definitely a fair amount of $7,000+ items in this place, which makes it a great place to look around, but a horrible place to shop. However, it if possible to find a decent priced item here or there.
