Antique lovers, you will feel like you died and gone to heaven when you walk into Antique & Collectibles Marketplace!

I found out about this wonderful antique shop when I did an internet search and came to the website http://www.tace.com which offers many items for sale from this store as well as other antique stores across the country. I found a beautiful bronze cherub clock and purchased it online. The next day I received a call from Ron with Antique & Collectibles Marketplace letting me know that their store is local and I could pick the clock up and save on shipping costs, if I'd prefer to do that. I went down there and the minute I walked through the door I knew I was somewhere special. I was greeted by the two owners Ron and Paulette.  They are just delightful. Ron offered to show me around the 6000 square foot (!) store and had really interesting stories to share about some of the items we came across - an elaborate, upholstered mahogany chamber pot/commode, an exquisite brass and onyx bed, a Nancy Ann doll, and so many others!

This antique store is not one that has different vendors who rent out space. The pricing and quality are consistent. You will not find any junkie items here. And I was quite taken aback by the very fair pricing. There wasn't a single item that I thought was overpriced - which is never the case when I shop in antique stores. The store is also very well organized. The front room has collectibles (bronze items, china pieces, jewelry, etc.). Another room is filled with dolls - Nancy Ann, Peggy Nesbit, Francesca, Madame Alexander, etc. They have original boxes, too, and are in exceptional condition. Along the hallway there are numerous pieces of art, and then you enter a huge area filled with furniture, tapestries, lamps, etc. Oh, and there is even a separate room that is filled to the ceiling with vintage Barbie dolls all in their original boxes. Ron even showed me where they pack items for shipping. He carefully packages each item - I would feel very confident purchasing online.

I really could go on and on about this store. If you are coming from out of town, it is certainly worth the trip. You will not be disappointed. If you can't make the trip, however, visit them on their web site - they have quite a few items (although nowhere near as many as in their store) available for sale. Incidentally, I absolutely love my bronze cherub clock and will always think fondly about my shopping experience when I look at it.
