Great place to spend a hot day with the family . My daughter loved it she didn't want to even get out of the pool. There little food court is also great reasonable prices.

For the last 12 years I've been going back and forth from raging waters to waterworld and vice versa, it looks like today I finally made a decision. Antioch waterpark is a great place to take the family; no lines, lesser amount of gettho crowd, affordable($14.) the place doesn't have amazing slides but it does the job if you are looking for some old fashion swimming without the lines and crowd. Btw this place is very clean....
I kinda regret giving 4 stars because maybe some of you will start filling this joint! Lol -

Great place for a family day. More fun for children of course as the rides are not that long nor thrilling like some other waterparks , however for those that live in the east bay and don't want to travel far then take your kid's here. You'll have a great time.
No food allowed inside and the food they have available go ahead and skip. We had a nice picnic outside of the waterpark on one of their picnic tables. I guess if you go after 4pm the tickets are only $5 and a couple hours should be more than enough. I wasn't aware of this until we got there and well did not want to make the kid's wait an hour trying to save a couple bucks.
Go go and take lot's of photos. A waterproof camera if you have one as we took some great underwater photos and videos at the park. -

When it was hot as Hades in Antioch, I decided to take my toddler to the Antioch Waterpark to cool off. After all, what's better on a hot summer's day than a day out to the friendly neighborhood water park?
It was mid-July when we went and we were in the middle of a heat wave. There were TONS of families there. Given how hot it was, this wasn't surprising.
I didn't have a problem with the admission price or the bag check -- pretty understandable. What I did have a problem with was the condition of the changing room/bathrooms. UGH! It was DISGUSTING. It looked like it hadn't been cleaned all day and certainly smelled that way. I hadn't thought to bring flip flops for my toddler and so sorely regretted it -- I refused to let her stand on anything but our towels! (Mind you, I'm not a germaphobe -- the changing room was just that icky!)
But I was STILL willing to overlook a lot of that. We went outside and it was busy. Again, not a surprise considering how hot it was. I do have to say that I loved the fact that the toddler tadpool was fenced off from the rest of the park. It is a great way to keep the bigger, rowdy kids away from the smaller ones. (Or at least you'd think so, right? Still it was good for keeping the little ones from wandering off!) I was so relieved to finally get to the water that I was also ready to overlook the fact that there was very little shade.
And then... it was time to get into the water. The tadpool water isn't very deep so you could see everything.
THE WATER WAS CLOUDY. I'm talking MURKY enough to be seen on photographs!!! OH MY GOD. I would have lifted my little girl out of the water right then and there but she gave me this look like, "I'm having so much fun!" that I just couldn't bear to. Plus, it was hot. :(
So there I let her stand, splashing away in this nasty, murky water while some big kids ran in like loons, messing things up for the little ones. Where THEIR parents were, I have no idea but thank you so very much for nearly running over my toddler and trying to run off with her water toys. Grrr!
I was so disgusted by the condition of the water in the tadpool that I actually got estimates for how much it would cost to build a pool in my own backyard. Too much. Damn. I guess for next summer, I need to find a friend with a pool to use.
Ugh. No, we won't be back. Between the quality of the water, the quality of the visitors and the atrocious changing room, there was no way I would ever go back there unless they did a massive clean up. As it was, my toddler spent the rest of the summer cooling off in a blow up pool. -

Okay All YOu Mommies Out There On A Budget... This Is Definately Something Great For The Kiddies!
I was so excited when I pulled up because I had heard somany good things about it. I think I was more excited than my kids were. Being that I am new to the Contra Costa Area, I try to stay down toward this way instead of heading back to the East Bay. ( I'm from Hayward). I used to always take my kids to the Silliman indoor Water Center in Fremont, but I liked this much better.
The facility is very nice. It's not raggedy and broke down looking. The staff is very friendly and the prices are very reasonable. It's funny that I live right around the corner from Water World, but I drove to Antioch. Why pay $33 bucks plus freaking parking for some dang water time? Kids just wanna get in the water. Now if you have older kids, this might not be the greatest place for excitement; but its great for family outings. Alot of people were having Birthday parties and BBQ's. If you come after 4 p.m. You only have to pay $5 bucks!! We stayed until it closed. I looked like a Prune. So if you want to go somewhere affordable.. this is the place!!Listed in: This is Kid Stuff...

Several pools, lots of water slides, nothing too complicated. $9 gets you in, but you can't bring in food or drink. Once past the weird TSA bag check station, it's a lot of fun.
There's not much shade by the pools, so bring a hat.
Money saving tip: if you don't want to buy the park's food, get your hand stamped, head out to your car and have lunch, then head back in. -

I just returned from a field trip with my son's school and I was very impressed. I get very annoyed with the plethora of negative reviews that seem to dominate "review" sites so I made a vow that if I like it I'm reviewing it. This place-I Like. I could not get over the amount of life guards every few feet . I was watching a 3 year old and a 6 year old and wishing humans (Or at least moms) had evolved so that each eye could move separately so I could watch them both. Despite my lack of two heads, I felt very safe here and I even hung out under the waterfall while my son caught my daughter at the end of the baby slide over and over and over again.
The place was super clean, lots of great trees provided ample shade, the water stayed cool and the other patrons were super polite and friendly, even with large summer camp groups.
They don't allow outside food, which as a business owner I completely respect and I think that is why the place manages to stay so clean. The snack bar wasn't too healthy but hey, it's summer and it's not like we are eating here day in and day out. We decided to live a little and devour a few corndogs. All in all a great day and the kids were asleep as soon as I started the engine and headed home. -

$5 1/2 day. Mommy can sit in a chair and read a book. You can get close enough to the pool to feel comfortable relaxing while watching your kids. There are lifeguards too. Good deal, we will be back.

Initially I was suspect. From the street and then the parking lot, you cannot see any water slides. I wondered if they had any that an adult would like. I was happy to discover that there were 2 that fun for the first time water park user.
This is a fun place for the whole family. My 5 year old and his friend loved it. The water is warm and the weather in Antioch was hot. There is plenty of room to stretch out and make yourself at home. For $14 it is a good deal, plenty of water activities and lots of life guards. Did I mention that there are lots of life guards? A weird amount of life guards; but, that is a good thing.
Like I said, the park is not crowded, that is, until after 3 pm, when the price gets lowered. Then the amount of people doubles and the tube slide gets a long line.
The only drawback is that you cannot bring in your own food / drinks. Since the fare there is generic hotdogs and ice-cream, it would have been nice to bring in something healthy to eat.
We will be going back there again! -

Fun place to take the kids. Great variety of slides/pools. A little pricey, but pretty clean.
Great for smaller kids too. The only downside is that I will only bring my kids here on the rare weekday that I am off from work. Too many rowdy kids hang here on the weekends. -

I used to work here for about 3 to 4 years, year-round. While the park isn't open to the public year-round, the facilities are (or were).
Overall, this place is an under-utilized water park and a gem for the City of Antioch. Its City-owned and built, 1996 was the year I'm told, and the overall look is AMAZING. Rocks and boulders?! Yeah! People have even hosted weddings here. The landscape is great!!
Its a good place to take the family, the younger kids, as the pools are essentially made for them. Lifeguards are top-knotch.
At the time that I worked there, you were not allowed to bring outside food in, so be prepared to buy some delicious food inside or bring your own cooler and leave it in the car. Be nice to the Lifeguards, they are there for your safety, and as with any job, if you're rude, you will be the talk of the staff (this accounts for anywhere, not just the water park. Lets be real!)
Other than that, the only thing that may annoy you is when its 110 degrees outside and there is a long line for the slides - and again, for your safety only, they'll only allow one person at a time to go down, so just be patient!
I find it sad that many people in East County don't know about it and take advantage of it. Definitely could use some major marketing, but since it is City owned and Antioch is currently on the verge of going broke, it is understandable that people may not have heard of it.
Great times, though, great times! -

Only went there once but we waited until 4pm on a Sunday to get it because it was only $5 - and 2 hrs was plenty until closing time. The staff were nice too.

Very fun time. Small waterslides better for younger kids. All in all reasonably priced and good amenities (ie snackbar and locker rooms with rentable lockers).

Brother won tickets to Waterpark. Park is pretty clean. Not really big as I imagine. There are not enough lawn chairs so get there early.

I have been going to the water aerobics class on Saturdays during the summer session. What a great workout! The class is just long enough, the pool is usually pretty clean, and it's a lot of fun!! The instructor is energetic and plays a good mix of music.

All I can say is, I wish they had one of these parks closer to the East Bay or San Jose. This is totally worth your $11 entrance fee. Plenty of parking and the park is spread out and spacious. They supply life vests for kids, SWEET! I'm not a big swimmer, so there is something for everyone and plenty of space for you to layout and relax. I think they only drawback is that you are not able to bring your own food and drinks, but they have a great concession stand that is reasonable. Overall, I give this place five stars hands down!

I have been taking my son here for years. It's a great deal (10$ to slide all day), free parking, and clean, not too crowded, and a ton of fun for kids of all ages. Extra bonus is that it stays open until 6 pm. I agree with other Yelpers about the tip to picnic outside, as the food is overpriced, and there are no healthy options. But the slides are great, the lifeguards keep things safe and fun, and a great time is always had by all.

Wonderful place to bring your children under 12 for some water play! My son is a wanderer so I loved the gated kiddie section which is also a little quieter than the other areas which he prefers. The other swimming areas are great also. We have gone here on the weekdays only since my husband is off. Its never overcrowded then. Free parking is always a plus. Only thing is you can't bring outside food in so if you don't want to buy any food, bring your own cooler to leave in the car & eat at the picnic tables located outside the park. Also, there are many places to eat down the street. Its not that expensive compared to Waterworld or Raging Waters where you have to pay parking! There isn't too much shade so sunblock is a must! Its a decent place to go. My only negative thing to say is that I wish it was closer to home where I didn't have to pay bridge toll to come here but I still love this place!

Walnut Creek, CA
This place is great! Very clean, nicely planned out and landscaped, piped in pop music, decent food, clean locker and restrooms, and well staffed with lots of lifeguards. This park is especially great for young kids as the slides are pretty tame. There was only one slide my less than 42" daughter could ride (the Otter) but she LOVED it. The park has some shade, get there early if you want to claim a lounge chair and a good shady spot. There's lots of lawn space for lounging too if you want a more relaxed experience. From the Tad Pool we watched squirrels running around the lawn and over the cement rocks, very cute. The food offerings included the typical hot dogs, burgers and sodas, but they also had veggie burgers, fish burgers, burritos, salad, cheese pizza, juice and Haagen Dazs bars. No outside food is allowed and they do check every bag brought in; however you have in/out privileges with a hand stamp if you want to bring a picnic lunch to enjoy outside the park, or go out to lunch. For only $6 per person weekdays it's totally worth the drive from Pleasant Hill! And parking is free!
