This place is fantastic. The first time I went was with my dad while he was visiting from Minnesota and he wanted to see if they had old Coke bottles. They only had Pepsi, unfortunately, but the other things they have are very cool. Typewriters, marbles, furniture... an awesomely friendly dog that wanders around and doesn't break anything?! I mean, if I let my cat loose in this place for five minutes I'd owe them five thousand bucks... then again, Butters is kind of an *sshole. Anyways, very cool shop to find strange knick-knacks or awesome furniture, and definitely worth stopping in BEFORE you start drinking at Naked City down the block.

Not sure what the fuss is over this place, it's overpriced and underwhelming. I didn't see a thing in there that I would pay even close to what they were asking and when I listened to the owner talk with another customer I knew I'd never buy a thing from them, dismissive and downright rude!
Better selection, better service and better luck at Pacific Galleries. -

We used to live in the neighborhood and I could stop in whenever I liked - I miss it! We stopped in today and as usual, we were not disappointed. If I bought all of the dishes and glassware I liked from this store I would be able to have a dinner for 100+ people - although there would be nowhere to sit because of apartment would be full of dishes.
If my husband didn't make custom furniture I would also want to buy all of my authentic mid-century modern pieces here. Great people, great dog - just don't drive all the way to 85th and Greenwood on a Tuesday to look for a baking dish you know they will have - because they are closed! -

When I went in here, I was really quite surprised.
When I saw the reviews, I was even more surprised!
I'm sorry, old furniture just shouldn't cost this much. I admit to being quite puzzled and confused when I walked into what I thought was a used furniture store and found a high end store. If you're looking for really quite nice, high end furniture to create a conversation piece in your living room, I won't tell you not to go here. If you're just after a dresser to put clothes into, don't go here. -

I am in the midst of a star-crossed love affair with mid-century modern furniture. Antika is like porn for my interior designer soul. I live on a boat, so I have no place to put said furniture, but I love to dream about it and look at it.
Antika specializes in the 50s and 60s teak that I love so well, and I stood in front of bar cabinets, wardrobes, and credenzas trying to rationalize a purchase and where I would put it. Alas, I failed on both counts, but if I ever live in a house again, this is where I am going for furnishings. The prices are great, the furniture is solid and in great shape. -

What a great store! I missed out on seeing Tonka, the store dog... but I did see tons of great furniture.
From Danish mid century modern pieces to shabby chic, they've got everything. I got lost here for 30 minutes. Initially I was looking for something specific but the pieces are so nice that I wound up thinking, "hey... that's NICE! Where should I put that? I can fit that in my apt.. right?" Know your budget because you'll want to buy it all!Listed in: When I'm OFF the Hill, Born to Shop in Seattle!

Five stars nearly seem enough for such an amazing place. Not only does Antika have great stuff for your nest, the service is simply amazing! Meridee knows her stuff and her follow-up is spot on. When was the last time you had someone contact you AFTER the sale to check in? Meridee did and her advice was wonderful. Not only will I be back I may bring the entire city of Seattle with me!
Say "hello" to Tonka, the store puppy for me, love him. -

I. LOVE. TONKA!
Tonka is the new mastiff puppy filling the role of Antika's in-house pet. For those of you who know Oscar next door at Terra Bella, Tonka is his younger 9-month old brother who won my heart the instant I saw him. I can assure you that very few things in this store are on the affordable side for a job-seeking, freshly graduated 22-year-old, but I can also vouch for the amazingness of the items I came across including lots of REALLY awesome glassware and a ring that I seriously cannot stop thinking about right now. Even if you can't afford the stuff either, please come in and look around and get some cute ideas and PLAY WITH THE PUPPY! Seriously, I'm going to have to find more excuses to come here just to see Tonka. It's true love.
Support the store and keep Tonka happy :)Listed in: PhinneyWood Love

Review from Emily T.
Many a family vacation was spent inside different antique stores in the towns we visited. I would whine and complain at each stop and never understood my parents' affinity toward the shops, which were oftentimes a dusty, crowded labyrinth. Years have gone by and the family vacations are just memories. I've moved out and away and I've discovered that the apple didn't fall too far from the tree. Like my parents, I've taken a liking to antique stores.
Antika, located in the Greenwood neighborhood, is a gem of an antique store. The store's two floors are open, well lit and relatively diverse in its offerings. I could easily spend hours combing through the mid-century teak furniture, the stained glass windows, looking through old postcards and photos and pining after old jewelry.

Antika has a large mid century selection. There are a few very nice pieces, but most of it is kind of ho-hum. They seem to import most of it from England, which I assume is what's driving the high prices. I don't really understand why they import everything when there are plenty of cool mid century pieces available locally that are often more interesting than Antika's and at more reasonable prices.
I considered buying a dining table and chairs at Antika. It was a slightly small rosewood table with a butterfly leaf and 4 chairs. The price on the set was $900, and I was disappointed that they weren't willing to come down on it. -

My new favorite antique store!
The old fashioned cocktail carts are what originally lured me into this place with visions of reviving the cocktail era. The main room has a great selection of the type of furniture you conjure up in your mind when you think antique. The next room over is devoted to kitchen equipment of a bygone era that just makes me want to don an apron and whip up something from scratch. The room after that has sort of a shabby chic aesthetic that isn't pleasing to me, but I could find some charm in the more macabre pieces that litter the area.
They also opened a new back room devoted to furniture from the 50's and 60's. Mostly mid-century modern teak furniture with some of the most reasonable prices I've found.
Hooray for Antika. I'll be in mid-week to pick up my new baking rack! -

I just like to daydream about decorating my place with some of the wonderful dressers, washstands and tables they showcase here. The window displays are what draw me in and I usually find something to put on my wishlist.
Prices aren't cheap but the merchandise is good quality. -

I found the most perfect piece here that happened to be 1/2 off so I am a little biased. I found a mail sorter that fills a whole wall!
Lots of Danish modern pieces and stained glass windows. It has a good feel inside and looked like the pieces were quality. No thrift shop feel here at all. -

You know.... I'm not really an 'antique' expert, but I just didn't really care for Antika.
On occasion when I go through antique stores the most enjoyable thing for me is to see all of the toys and stuff I had in my youth, or just some really cool and interesting stuff. This place is almost more of an old furniture store. Granted, the furniture here is in WAY better condition than the average antique store.... but.... I just was hoping for more than nice furniture crammed as densely as possible into a small store. Not to mention that as far as antique store prices go, this place is pretty expensive in my opinion. -

Antika is great if you're looking for antique, high-quality furniture that hasn't been shredded by time.
If you're looking for kitsch, jewelry, ephemera, etc., you won't find it here. You WILL find expensive (and rightly so) china, moderately priced stained glass, and lots of beautiful furniture.
This is one place that has been sifted through- you know that whatever you'll find at Antika is a great antique. The owners have a great eye for what belongs in their store. -

I managed to pick up a decent, ready-to-use, bronze plated Gillette tech for $24. Only able to find a bakelight handled Schick in Portland, it was nice to find an all metal alternative.

If you're in the market for antique furniture, specifically mid-century, Danish and/or teak then Antika is your place. If you're looking for a Dukes of Hazzard lunchbox go elsewhere, because they don't sell pop culture items or thrift junk.
Antika is aimed at people looking for central pieces or complimentary pieces of wood furniture. For example, I bought a couple of leather chairs (on the cheap) at the Kasala outlet and I wanted an inexpensive coffee table to go with them and an existing couch. I found a lovely and very affordable (teak, tile and glass) coffee table that complimented my chairs and couch beautifully at Antika.
This store is really for discerning furniture shoppers who have an idea in mind. That doesn't mean that you won't find something you like - I urge you to check out the store - it just means that if you're still carting around a bookshelf from Ikea from your college years that this isn't the place for you. -

If you possess a love of retro-kitsch, this place is for you! In addition to their amazing selection of 50s era, ice cream colored kitchenettes, they also have a beautiful collection of more classic antiques. I found the most gorgeous wooden armoire here from the 1930s and bought it for a mere $300! Plus, the woman who helped me was incredibly sweet and helpful and clearly knew a ton about antiques. Great place to pick up some fairly priced, gorgeous vintage furniture and bar ware. Plus, it's just up the street from Mr. Gyros!

The stained glass windows drew me in to this oh so cool antique store and the washstands, pitchers, old Guinness prints and hand embroidered delicate old linens kept me browsing. The mostly European furniture would fit in any shabby chic decor, but most of the stuff isn't cheap in any sense of the word.

This place is a little spendy, but everything is great quality. Lots of beautiful armoires, stained glass, kitchen accessories and hutches. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. One of the best antique stores in the area by far.

I LOVE this place! Antika has a whole room dedicated to the 40's and 50's motif. I bought a "Kitchen Queen" (no, Silly!) that was in beautiful condition. It was missing the glass shelf, but they had a new one made for me when I picked it up. This is a destination spot for me. They obviously have a buyer with very good taste. I have spent LOTs of money on new furniture from the high-end stores and for what you get at Antika, it's money well spent.

Going to Antika always makes me happy. It has a large selection, but not crammed into an uncomfortably tiny space. I'm not an antique expert, but it seems like the furniture is of good quality so you will pay more for it--no thrift store or "fix up" items in here. Even so the furniture is still pretty affordable. A very large and beautiful selection of mid-century modern, but other styles as well.
