Best Anthro yet, and I've been a customer since the get-go!
Great informal ambience, since it is laid out like a home, with separate rooms for different departments. Newest stock in each section, with lots of it. Last time there, I was able to pick from 4 different mercury glass containers to get the perfect shape for my bathroom.
We were on a mission, and each got new spring items, I got a flirty little girl style flower print dress that goes over jeans. This worn with great success everywhere!
From the capacious sale rack, a jersey and rayon beige beaded casual top to wear with everything!
Attentive sales staff, and cute dressing rooms with natural tree trunk seats. We liked the French provincial chair lavished in hand embroidered fabric that we were sitting on so much, that when we noticed that it was on sale, we bought it!!
The friendly sales woman even carried it to the car for us!
Cheerfully!!!

I'm a huge fan of Anthropologie and this one is the cutest I've ever seen.
I love the layout and decor. The little patio space through fitting rooms is such a character!
Carmel is such a unique town and this Anthropologie is a hidden treasure in Carmel Plaza. I usually find the best deals here that I can never find any other locations.

In terms of ambience, Anthropologie grabs all of your senses' attention when you walk through the door. Anthropologie looks like an apartment you wish you could live in; the layout is organized and well thought out, and there's even a little outdoor space near the dressing room with wooden tables and chairs. The smell of the store puts you in a daze, it's so pretty. I once bought a "Venetian Grove" apothecary air/car spray. The scent was out of this world, but unfortunately it only lasted about 5 minutes in the air. If I were to get it again I'd get the concentrated parfum bottle, not just the essence. Definitely an experience for the senses, the home section is just as appealing as the clothes.

Oh sweet Jesus! I love and want everything in this store.
They always have beautifully crafted and incredibly unique items.
Kudos to the buyers. The staff are always psyched to see you.
They probably get a generous discount which is why they are so HAPPY to work there. I am a huge fan of the bedding, the sleepwear, the crockery, the clothes - the list goes on. -

Fan of Anthropologie in general and this one in particular is up there and luckily it's the closest to where I currently reside. Always a friendly upbeat staff, great sales (in the special room) and I always find fun kitchen decor here.
But what I love most about Anthropologie is that they carry my signature scent... Tocca (green label) Florence. -

One of my favorite stores ever!
I try to make a point of stopping by whenever I'm in Carmel. It is one of the largest Anthropologie stores I've ever been too. So many lovely and wonderful things to look at!
I adore the clothes at Anthro. I really appreciate that the ensembles I purchase are of good quality and are super cute. So important! The home accoutrements are also fun to peruse. Cookbooks, hardware and bedding galore! I love the whimsical design of their furniture too.
Fact. ;) -

What's up with the lame customer service? There will be a line of customers with one sales clerk ringing people up. While waiting in line, I watched 3 other sales staff meander back to the cash-wrap, putter around, and leave the area without even a glance at the customers. Hello? How about one of you girls put down your little task and get on a register?
Then when you do get up to the register, the sales girls are dumb as posts. Once, I paid with a dollar coin, and the girl had to go ask her manager if that was real money? Seriously, WTF. It's a DOLLAR. Duh!
I will say that the store does have interesting houseware items. You can always find some smelly candle or a nice tablecloth on markdown in the back.
Their window displays are always creative, and the store is always clean, but the music is frequently too loud and the selection of products is too "hipster."
To sum up: This store is hit or miss. Sometimes they have cool products for the house, and other times I simply walk out in frustration because I can't stand either the music or the ignorance of the staff. -

Gorgeous store with a wide selection of clothes and home goods. Located at the second story of the chic Carmel Plaza mall off of downtown Carmel. One giant level.
I came looking for a dress to meet my bf's parents and was pleasantly surprised by the selection as well as the adorable dressing room that is removed from the main store. Extremely friendly customer service (but it was a rainy Saturday, not very busy) and I was in and out in only 20 minutes.
Added bonus, after shopping you can go to the coffee shop downstairs and drink cocoa and lust after other people's dogs. -

I've been to many, many Antrhos, and this is by far, my favorite! The carmel location always has such a great selection of styles and sizes, and everyone who works here is alway so helpful.
I normally shop here during my lunch break and the store is never super-busy...which is kind of awesome b/c I feel like I always get first dibs on sale stuff. I've scored sooooo many great coats, dresses, blouses, home goods at reduced prices. -

Went here this afternoon to spend my birthday gc and was in need of some summer tops. Long story short, I was walking around the entire store and ended up carrying 15 tops I wanted to try on, mind you I am NINE MONTHS PREGNANT and was walking around holding 15 tops which were heavy and NOT ONE PASSING SALES PERSON ever asked me if I needed a room or help!! And yes, about 3 sales people passed right by me. When I finally made it to the dressing room the lady working it remarked "wow I'm surprised you made it here holding all those".....It was all I could do not to snap!!! I tried my stuff on and left spending almost $200...will I be back? Hmmm I love the clothes and accessories but I simply can not imagine coming back to this location anytime soon even though I live right by the store. And the blonde manager woman that has been there since it opened never offered help or greeted me either. My advice: get your head out of your a%& and learn about customer service or did I not look like your target customer? UNBELIEVABLE!!
