Aside from the wonderful customer service I love that my Mom and sisters have somewhere to sit while I shop. This store is very clean and organized. I wish I lived closer to shop here more often. The next time I go here I must take a photo of the table near the fitting rooms.

We all have our addictions. Some people are addicted to gambling, some to alcohol and some to illegal substances. I have another addiction. It is perfectly legal, but can still get me in trouble. Yes, I am addicted to shopping.
To paraphrase Rebecca Bloomwood, you know when you see a really cute guy and he smiles at you and your heart feels like butter sliding down hot toast? Well that is how I feel when I shop, only better. ;)
Shopping feeds my soul. Shopping at Anthropologie leaves me completely satiated. I feel so happy when I am in this store. So many cute and stylish frocks and accessories. The clothes are definitely very feminine which I love. Sparkly baubles, jaunty chapeaus and flowy scarves!
Home decor and trinkets galore! Great selection of candles by Volcano and Voluspa (love the Santiago Huckleberry scent). I even found some adorable cupcake shaped taper candle holders, pink naturally.
I purchased something for me and a gift for my sister, but I can't
divulge that info since she may read this review! Shhh. ;) -

The entire time I lived on the Monterey Peninsula there were no "decent" stores aside from Banana Republic. Then one day *poof* BR disappeared and Anthropologie appeared out of nowhere in the downtown mall. It was like the second coming of my wardrobe ... all those years spent hoofing it to the Northridge Mall for *stop the presses* Old Navy were horrifying. Ah, I could dress like a girl again.
This store also has AWESOME deals on floor samples. I bought a hand-painted teak dining room table, originally $1200, for $300!
Minus one star for the high school girls in the changing room who'd rather chat and primp than work. -

My ladyfriend loves this store, much to my chagrin. However, upon visiting it to pick her up some holiday bounty, I started to understand why. This was one of the more expensive but least stressful shopping experiences I've had. I don't understand why such a tiny shirt has to cost $100, but there's a lot of things about girls I don't understand.
This place, however, reminded me a cool girl's apartment more than a store. I actually browsed, instead of my usual mode of grabbing the first decent looking thing I saw and getting out before I caught the cooties. This place is totally cootie-free. -

If I was rich and skinny I would buy all my clothes here.
Alas, all I can do now is wander through the store and drool. It's such a pretty store though. And every once in awhile I can find some cool cheap housewares on clearance.
I've noticed that their clothing clearance room seems less picked over than other Anthropologie's I've been to - I think this one gets less traffic. So definitely check that out if you're treasure-hunting.Listed in: Bring your Dog Along!…

This place was just so freaking cute!!! I loved what they had, and it was just so warm, friendly, and comfortable inside. I could've stayed in there for hours were it not for our tight schedule!!
The only problem I have with Anthropologie is their high prices, but that has nothing to do with this location in particular. This one was just great. Unfortunately I'm now 3,000 miles away. :( Not exactly convenient. -

A couple of GF's and I decided to spend a cherished weekday off in Carmel. I had no idea there is an Anthropologie in Carmel now and was excited when I found out.
The store is pretty with a nice feel to it. It is fairly spread out so if you're looking for something specific from the catalogue most likely you'll need to ask a sales associate for assistance. I did this, but unfortunately she was not famliar with what I was referring to. She didn't really offer to help me find it, but that was ok because after seeing a myriad of dresses I wanted to try on I was over the jacket I came in for.
I also had trouble finding the dressing rooms and again received limited help finding them. "Just follow the sales girl with all the clothes, she's probably headed there." said the unbusy woman at the check-out.
I bought a pretty blue dress that is well made. So much that you could probably wear it inside out and no one would even notice. Yes, the store is slightly more expensive than other stores, but that's ok with me. There is a store for every need. If I want a plain cotton tee, I go someplace I can buy one for $20.00. If I want a pretty dress that not everyone will like or pay a certain price for, I head to Anthropologie. -

Anthropologie is one of my favorite stores. I almost hate going in there because when I supposedly go there to "window shop" I end up spending $300+ its so bad! But I can't help it, they have cute clothes.
I love shopping at this Anthropologie compared to the others that I have been to (SF & SJ). The staff are always friendly and start a room for you right away. Very attentive, even when they're busy. The store is well stocked and neat. I never have a problem finding my size on the regular priced items along with the sale items.
Because of their consistent customer service I frequent this Anthropologie. It's worth the drive. And after a long day of shopping you can go down Ocean Ave and relax on the beach. -
Review from Kathy G.

I was a very big fan of Anthropologie until I noticed holes (not due to moths. I checked) appearing in clothes that I owned less than a year. I'm not a careless person who throws her clothes on the floor and stomp on them with shoes. I take good care of my clothes and only wash them on the gentle cycle and hang dry. Anthropologie isn't exactly cheap so I expect the quality to match the price. Unfortunately this hasn't seemed so with half of what I've bought from them. So, I decided that I'm going back exclusively to M by MJ as some of the pieces I own from his label have lasted me for up to 9 years (and still going!) and not a single tear, rip, or any fading.
I'll still buy Anthro's jewelry and housewares but I'm going to be much more selective if and when I ever buy clothes from them again. -

Without exception, every time I've shopped at this Anthropologie, the staff has been friendly, helpful and never pushy (don't let my screen name fool you, I'm a gal). They always make a fuss over my dog and he's welcome in the fitting room with me (a big reason Carmel is so much fun to visit).
The clothing is unique enough that I don't see it on every other woman and in every store at the local mall. Prices aren't a bargain, but they aren't outrageous, either. Housewares are fun and affordable; great door pulls and plates. Great store displays - really works of art. -

I cannot justify purchasing 100 dollar shoes.. why am I going to pay over 200 dollars for a pillow or a dress I can get at Crate and Barrel for cheaper (that is a scary thing when some place is more expensive that William Sonoma or Crate and Barrel..sigh)? The only thing I have ever purchased at Anthropologie is soap..and it was good soap at that... I have a looksy in here and cannot find one thing that matches my taste (although they do have super cool lampshades). Oh wells.... for the rest of you happy shopping.

this anthropologie store is so pretty! i like how everything is well organized. as i walk into the store, immediately i noticed a pacifica candle being burned. the place smells so nice.
the associates at the store were nice and friendly. all the racks were hung neat and the clothes folded to perfection.
this place rocks compared to the one in Santana Row in San Jose. i especially loved the fitting room. very spacious and it's located in front of this "mini" backyard/courtyard that has patio furniture with books to browse. i really like how there's natural light spilling into the store.
it makes the place so much more nice, airy and fresh. love it!
they seem to have everything in stock including smaller sizes which is nice for a change. nothing over picked in the sale section either. love! -
Review from Amy O.
This is definitely my favorite Anthropolgie location ever! The products are spread out in a really shopable manner, the personnel is awesome (although that's normal for Anthropologie), there is a little outside area to chill in...it just has a nice vibe.

The clothes are always nice, typically a little over-priced, at Anthropologie. I know this store is relatively new, and this was my first time at this Anthropologie. The store has a good selection of clothes, and I found the cutest Ella Moss top. I was crushed to find out that it was the last one in my size and in my desired color because the one I tried on was a little frayed at the bottom... The sales clerk was nice enough to give me a small discount which I greatly appreciated; I probably would have bought it anyway, but I really appreciated her outstanding customer service.

if i could give ten stars, i would. this place is organized, clean, sales associates in every single corner so if you need something - they're always at arms length. the fitting rooms run so smoothly, and i just canNOT believe how lovely the staff here are to everyONE.
what i've noticed about this anthro is they carry a lot more items than the other anthro's i frequent. the cardigan selection is awesome, it seems like they have more of a variety of colors in stock...
the odds & ends such as journals and all that good stuff - they definitely have more of a selection than other anthro's near me.
sales associates are so friendly, accomodating - just excellent customer service all around. this is my all time favorite anthropologie EVER, beating out santa monica, san francisco, palo alto and even santana row. must be the laid back beach atmosphere, and how the beach is literally a few blocks down the street.
if you've ever got time, it's definitely worth a trip to this anthro location :) -

Finally got around to visiting this Anthro, this one is new for me since I've been away for 10 years. I really like how they use the space here. Great decor and placement of items. Love hitting up the sales rack/room but I never find cute clothes there just random fun trinkets and treasures. Love their apron selection and housewares.

I love love love this Anthropologie location. It's so much bigger than the one in my other home town (Portland,OR) there are a million things I would love to max out my credit card with. The entire experience is tactile, you'll want to touch everything even if it's not for sale. Not only are their window displays exciting and well designed, the entire store evokes a beachy/hip grandmas house kinda vibe. Ooooohhh I dig it!

Review from Joslyn D.
San Francisco, CA
My favorite Anthro location by far. I can't put my finger on it but there is something a little more special about this location. Maybe it's because the racks are neat and not picked over or perhaps it's because they offer a slightly different selection than some of the stores elsewhere in the Bay Area-more wearable, climate appropriate pieces. The staff is beyond nice and helpful and not jaded teenagers with large chips on their shoulders like the salespeople at some of the other contemporary boutiques nearby.

When I heard they were opening an Anthropologie in Carmel, I couldn't contain my joy. Boring and stodgy describe the majority of shops on the peninsula. Imagine my delight when I made my first visit to this shop a couple of days after they opened. In my opinion this is the best of all the Anthropologie shops that I have visited and I have been to quite a few in California. The layout is perfect, plenty of room, items are always well organized, the personnel are wonderful, overall a very pleasant shopping experience . I've been there so many times a few of the sales personnel already know my name. Now if they ever carry girls clothing, my 7 year old would be in heaven.

It's another window-shopping store but this is my favorite Anthropologie among the many that I've visited. The store is spacious, inviting, and calming. Everything's on one level which is great because I'm not a fan of the curved staircases like the one in SF or NY SoHo. I was totally confused as to where the dressing room was but after a sales associate guided me there, I found it so charming and perfectly situated next to the courtyard. During my last visit, I saw a mother and her children come in just to oooh and ahhhh at the garden window display in the back. Customers consist of SAHM during the weekdays and tourists during the weekends. Service is okay for the most part.

I love this store -- and if I were younger and slimmer I know I would drop a lot of dollars here on the clothes. As it is, I mostly stroll around the store's rambling layout and get ideas for gifts and decorating. It is not a stop at Carmel Plaza without a visit to Anthropologie.

came to carmel for a day trip and found out that they had an anthropologie store. because i don't live near an anthropologie i've never really shopped here and also it's a little too expensive.
so i go in on black friday and there's so many people but the store is very spacious so it's not cramped. the sale room is kinda small compared to other anthropologies and i thought because it was black friday they'd have more items on sale.
i grabbed 2 cute sweaters and an adorable dress for only $10! from the sale room to go try on. the sweaters were both around $60-70. very cute but didn't end up buying.
the sales ppl are very nice and friendly.
