I can tell they've been in the business a very long time, they do great work! Highly recommended.

Yes, it is expensive.  However, the service is great and they must use some kind of voodoo which allows them to get any stain out of anything.  Well, anything which is cotton or wool.

This is my go-to dry cleaner for cleaning my suits, sweaters, and any other clothing item I really like.  Also, as implied above, I take all clothing items with difficult and/or jeopardizing stains.

    A)  So close to me they are ridiculously convenient

    B)  So nice and friendly

    C) Carla is an IDIOT for not asking how much all she brought in would cost.  That's not on them.  That's alllllll my fault.  I did 3 jackets, a sweater, and my king sized comforter for $84.  I'm sure that's the normal price of such things.  I just wish I would have inquired first because I do NOT even like my comforter set.  It's just black and so are my cats and well you can follow the logic.  Instead of paying approx $50 to clean this dopey thing, I'd have taken that money and added another $___.__ and bought a different set.

    Ohh well live and learn.

They did a great job and complimented me on my Ganesh shirt (as has every place I've been to in Clarksville).  I'm sure I'll be bumping them up another star or so in the future.  I'm still reeling at my comforter kerfuffle.  You understand.

Anthony's does the best men's shirt in Austin.  No "why aren't you looking me in the eye?" collar wrinkles.  No "Hammer of Thor" lightning crease down the placket.  I've tried nearly every cleaners in town over the years, and a perfect shirt is hard to do, much less with consistency.  I think the majority of their business is men's cleaning as a result.

If you want starch, be ready, friend, because YOU'LL GET STARCH!  You could cut an artery putting on a pair of their medium starched pants.  You could play them in a god damn jug band they're so stiff.  I've never even seen anyone order the heavy starch.  I'm not sure how they could get any more on there.

Yes, they occasionally lose clothing.  Yes, they are old school.  And yes, they are expensive, but the quality of their men's shirt is unparalleled.  When you put on the last shirt you've got for that big meeting and then curse your dry cleaner with a depth and vigor that would offend the great god Odin himself, you'll know what I mean when I say that's important.

Rude people. Overpriced. My jacket came back with grease on the collar and they gave me a hard time like it was my fault.

Also...it's 2008...get a computer. No one needs to wait around in a dry cleaners watching people fumble around while they try to find your clothes.

This tried and true Clarksville establishment MAY (?) have lost my best purple shirt, but I'm not holding it against them until I have proof.

Walkable for Clarksville residents, the old school cleaners still uses a rotating contraption where you pull your ticket when you're done and they'll retrieve your dry cleaning for you.

NOT cheap, but may be worth the novelty of feeling like you're operating in the past (with visiting the drug store next door for a malt).

If not in Clarksville,  would not recommend, but feel that a place with this much character needs to be cherished.

I am not sure why this establishment has gotten bad reviews from others. I've been going here since 1994 and they have been incredible. Not once have they lost any of my clothes or broken any buttons. They finish shirts better than I've seen anywhere else, they can wash down pillows and comforters in a huge washer made for that, and you don't put your clothes on and have that "the cleaner should have changed the chemicals a long time ago" smell.

I even took them 8 irreplaceable quilts that were over 100 years old for washing and they came back perfect. Not any small feat.  This is the only place I would trust with that kind of item.

No complaints so far.  It's walkable, not insanely overpriced, and they do a decent job with the very basic dry cleaning I drop off.

They also do wash and fold at $2 a pound, which can be a life saver if you don't have a washer

I do wish they were open on Sundays and that they gave me itemized drop-off receipts, but the convenience keeps me coming back.

It's the own dry cleaners in town that I feel actually gives a damn about their jobs.  They are efficient and our clothes always turn out perfectly. We've been going there for years now and they've never lost anything and I've never felt cheated in any way.  The downside---this place is expensive.  If you're just bringing in some stuff you don't really care about (like my inexpensive skirts) don't bother.  If its something you're particular about...bring it here!

I have to give Anthony's only one star due to the very poor customer service from the two women who have worked there for years.  I would like to give more stars for their cleaning and that Anthony's has been serving Austin for over 50 years but I am afraid I cannot.  I went to anthony's for my dry cleaning for at least 5 years until recently because of the terrible service from the staff.  My first incident with Anthony's was last summer when I took a blue cotton dress with a stain to have it dry cleaned.  I also took the rest of my cleaning, about 6 items.  I took my dry cleaning home only to find out a couple of days later that the stain in the blue dress was not removed and there was no "Some stains cannot be removed" tag on the hangar with the dress.  I took the dress back with a couple of other items to have it re-cleaned.  I picked up my cleaning and checked the dress this time before I left and noticed that the stain was still in the dress but no stain tag included.  I asked if they would re-do it and that I would sign a waiver if needed but the two women refused and said they would not re-clean the dress without me paying again for it.  Something about them checking the dates that the dress was cleaned??  I had had the dress cleaned prior to it having a stain but this was all the same stain that was never removed. I left the dress and asked for the owner, Charlotte, to call me and she did and agreed to re-clean it and apologized for the way I was treated by her staff.  The dress still had the stain but this time the "stain" tag was added.
The most recent problem I had with Anthony's staff and the reason I had to find a new dry cleaners was in early March.  I dropped off 11 items to have cleaned on Tuesday for pick up on Wednesday prior to a weekend vacation.  I left a sweater that had a black camisole underneath and I let the woman helping me know (we talked about it) and to count it separately. Anthony's does not give receipts for dropped off laundry or dry cleaning so I always make a point to count the items I leave with them.  I picked up my dry cleaning on Wednesday and they only gave me 10 items.  I went through the bags and noticed that the camisole was missing.  This is where the customer service went South.  I asked for the camisole and the woman who helped me Tuesday immediately denied that I left 11 items and said that I was wrong.  I let her know that I was not wrong and we even talked about the top that went under the sweater.  She was adamant that I did not leave it and I said I was not leaving without it.  She said that "it could be awhile before it turns up" if they had it.  I asked if that meant that it might have ended up in someone else's dry cleaning and she said it was possible.  I said that could be a month or more before it gets returned and she said "at least".  I was prepared to ask them to call every person who had picked up dry cleaning in a day but I said that I bet it was still in one of the many bags they use for dropped off cleaning.  I asked her to look through the bags and she said "all of these bags"? "That would take forever".  I said I was not leaving without the camisole and that I would wait.  She did nothing and then the other woman, Toni, actually started looking through a couple of bags and pulled out my camisole and asked if that was it. I said yes and not to bother cleaning it because I would not be coming back due to the terrible customer service I received.  This was the same woman who was so rude about the blue dress and also with a leather vest I had to have sent off twice to their leather cleaner who didn't clean it the first time but did the second time.
I would love to give Anthony's a higher rating but customer service is paramount to a service oriented business and not worth the money you pay to have clothes dry cleaned here.  Charlotte needs to work on her staff.

Bar none, Anthony's Laundry and Dry Cleaning is the best dry cleaners for professionals in Austin. Why? Because they hand-finish shirts. If you've ever had to iron a shirt immediately after having it dry cleaned, you'll understand why hand-finishing is a big deal. When I have a big meeting coming up, I know I can grab anything that I had cleaned at Anthony's Cleaners, and it'll be ready to wear. Image matters. Details matter.

Anthony's consistently does a wonderful job of cleaning clothing but, they are horrible in customer service if ANYTHING goes wrong. I have over the past 2 years had many items misplaced and recently about $400 worth of clothing completely lost. Unless you want to fight them, not only will they not reimburse you, but they won't even apologize. This has been an issue for myself & another colleague at my office. They do not count items coming in nor provide you with a receipt (I suppose this is so they can lose them without any paper trail). The staff (including Charlotte, the owner) are typically not friendly. Again, great cleaners but I can't afford to lose my clothing and don't want to deal with unpleasant people anymore.
