Good: Great food. Great service, Awesome ambiance

Bad: Kinda Pricey, but food was great, so if you're a tourist, definitely TRY it, coz you may never be in the area again.

Recommend: If you're a tourist, or on special occasions, DEFINITELY YES

Positives: Servers were attentive and nice. View was great (even on a slightly rainy day). :)

We ordered:
1.Calamari (not bad)
2.Clam chowder (good, but it better be for a seafood place!) :)
3. Trout (i was annoyed that they couldn't simply grill it)
4. Cioppino (had a strange Indian spice-like flavor)
5. Salmon (standard)
6. Gumbo soup (too salty)
7. Pumpkin cheesecake
8. Blackberry cobbler
9. Coffee (weak)
10. Espresso (bad)

Had a stomach ache afterwards, and another member of our party actually had to run to the bathroom (Cioppino perhaps--one of the mussels was not properly prepared, smelled sulfuric)...

Total was $160. would we go back? Probably not. I've heard good things about this restaurant, but perhaps the quality has gone down, unfortunately.

Bleh.  Old people food.

We've eaten at the Edmonds location and had the same reaction....Bleh. Old people food.

However, last week when it was ridiculously hot outside we thought this would be a great place to go for a little AC with a view.  We were right about the view not the AC....it was hot and sticky in there.

Okay so the drinks were good, their fresh berry with vodka something or others and the appetizers were passable; how hard though is it to "make" raw oysters on the half shell and calamari?  Okay, all right so the clam chowder wasn't bad either.

We should have stopped while we were ahead.  There were three of us and we all ordered different fish dinners; it really didn't matter, basically they were all the same.  All three were fish with gross sauce, mushy rice and a few beans (not cleaned properly and make me choke btw....which I am not taking into consideration for my score....just putting it out there).

Anthony's is expensive for the quality of food you get.

My recommendation...stop at the clam chowder.

.  Hard to find but once you're there, great view, service and excellent value.  The cioppino is what you have to order here.  Don't know where I've had better.

Good spot for happy hour in Everett. Bar overlooks the water/sunset. Stopped in on an early Saturday evening - great bartender. Cheap apps (try the tuna nachos) and happy hour drinks until 6:30. Bus boy was a very hard worker.

My G-Ma can totally kick your ass.

I know I have said it before, but it merits repeating. She can and she will if you, for instance, start smack talking President Badass because of his color. I know this because I watched it happen last Saturday evening at Anthony's. Granny smack down my friends.

It was a lovely evening; the sun was setting on the bay, seagulls were swooping in all around us and my G-ma, her sister - my great aunt Nita,  their brother's girlfriend - Dorothy,  the mini and I were off for an early dinner of fresh(ish) seafood and rice pilaf in the middle of the Naval base in Everett.

All was going along swimmingly - the hot sourdough bread arrived at our table immediately, soothing the hypoglycemic fit I was in the middle of with a swiftness. The ladies chose their deep fried favorites, I went with the cioppino and we got down to the business of dinner conversation, which went something like this:

Me: So, what does everyone think about our new president? *evil grin*
(I likes to start shit)
Nita: What?
Me: OUR NEW PRESIDENT. WHAT DO YOU THINK?
G-Ma: It's just so nice to have someone in the oval office that is well spoken and thoughtful again, I had almost forgotten what that was like. He's so handsome too.
Nita: What?!
G-Ma: I SAID HE'S SO HANDSOME.
Nita: Bah...black people are not handsome. I am not comfortable with them, it's just not right that our president is black. I wasn't allowed to play with black children, and for good reason.
Dorothy: They sure have good bread here!
Nita: What?!
Dorothy: I SAID THEY SURE HAVE GOOD BREAD HERE.
G-Ma: What the hell are you talking about?! That is total bullshit Nita and you know it! We could play with whomever we wanted to - and we did. Just shut up and eat your fish and chips.
Nita: What?!
Mini: BULLSHIT!!!!
G-MA: SHUT UP AND EAT YOUR FISH...you racist old bat....
ME: *evil grin*

And so on. And so forth.

The cioppino was full of canned tomatoes and I spied more than one mullet on both the male and female of our species.

Great location with an incredible view! The clam chowder here is top notch. We had the special 18.95 deal before 6pm meal - shrimp to start (it was okay), clam chowder (awesome!), salmon (eh, kind of overcooked), and burned cream (the dessert maker took the burnt part a bit too far (it was overdone and tasted burnt on top - also the burned cream was COLD - it should be hot; i guess it was being mass produced so they could not have made it hot.)

Went here on a whim.  Wanted some seafood so my sister told me there was a place next to the naval base.

We were in our casual attire.  Could see why though you would want to dress up for dinner.  The atmosphere is very nice & could be very romantic come later in the evening.  Set right off the water with nice big windows to look out onto the bay.

Washington is celebrating the strawberry this time of year.  Crazy I know but they were really pushing them.  My sister had a bowl of calm chowder which was very yummy.  I could only have 1 spoon of it though because although yummy tasted very rich not good calorie wise.
The waitress told me of special salmon cakes pan seared in olive oil & they would put sauce on side for me. *So very accommodating for people who have diet restrictions & you ask.
Also said they would only give me all vegetables w/o butter instead of rice pilaf. * Again kudos in my book!

They had also brought bread to the table for my sister.  I wish they had only brought half unfortunately because I hated to see that go to waste.

Anyway the food was so moist & tender.  The cakes fell apart in your mouth with eat bite...wasn't even a fishy salmon taste.  I love salmon but my sister thinks it tastes too fishy and she tried it and said that.

After dinner we had the chocolate mouse w/strawberries on the side & they went deliciously together.  My sister and I were laughing because we thought no wonder they were promoting the strawberries their to die for.  Plump, ripe & juicy.  Practically perfect.

I had the oddest drinking experience here. We were shown to the back deck and all me and my friend really wanted was a couple beers and and to just sit. The waitress brought out a loaf of sourdough and asked if we wanted menus and we told her we just wanted a couple beers. ZOINK! went the bread. We were kinda drop jawed. Will it be trown away? served to the next person?

I admit I got a bit excited when my Mom said she wanted to go to Anthony's for her birthday dinner. Usually we go to Melting Pot for my mom's dinner (oh, I didn't review that yet, woops!) but no one wanted to drive into the city on a weeknight so I got to drive up to Everett with visions of berry cobbler dancing in my head!

All the usual things about Anthony's applied, the dining room was a bit dowdy and had bad acoustics...you know, the same could be said about our server. However, for some reason on this evening the food was insanely tasty. We started off with a loaf of fresh  crispy-on-the-outside-soft-on-the-inside warm sourdough bread, then it was on to the salads that had only the briefest amount of iceberg lettuce, and some tasty clam chowder. Everyone was very pleased with their entrees - even picky ol' me! My mother ordered the tempura seafood plate (Yay! A plate full of deep fried seafood. Thanks for the advanced palate Mom) and she shared and it was delicious. I had the Northwest duo that came with perfectly prepared (utilizing the maillard reaction) filets of wild salmon and halibut and super fresh asparagus. Some other standouts at the table were the lingcod and the crab cakes.

Of course I ordered both the blackberry and the rhubarb cobbler for dessert and they were amazing. Good old Anthony's.

Happy Birthday Mom!

Located next to a small marina in Everett, is Anthony's Home port is a local chain of seafood places. large windows and a nice view is probably the best thing about this restaurant. They have salmon, and crab, and other assorted Seattle seafood, meaning salmon and crab, and then other seafood that comes from elsewhere. None of which is particularly good.
This place tries to be all dressed up, and you will see people wearing suits to eat here, but its not that fancy, and the staff are poorly trained and amateurish.
Also if I make a reservation for 7:00PM you better seat me by 7:05 otherwise why did I make a reservation, don't seat me at 7:20 like happened here.

The first time I ate here, they overcooked my swordfish, even after I sent it back for being dried out, and my mothers halibut was raw. They did make good by comping the meal, but it was less than ideal.
Also if I order the spinach salad with macadamia nuts and strawberries, because its strawberry season, you better make sure there are actually more than two slivers of strawberry in there.
The clam chowder is not good, better than canned, but not by much, the best part about the meal is the bread.

Anthony's in Everett is very pretty.  The restaurant is located right next to a marina and large windows provide gorgeous sunset views.  The bad thing is that this place is almost always packed, and reservations are a must.  Even if you have reservations, you're still likely to wait for your table to be ready.  Service can be spotty--there are a handful of really good waiters, but there are an equal amount of sub-par servers.  Who you get will determine how your evening goes.

That said, the food here is consistently good.  Much nicer than some of the seafood places that cost almost the same.  The crabcakes are crispy on the outside (thanks to a panko crust) and are full of yummy crabmeat--not filler like other places.  Even though I am a scallop-hater, the scallops here are (for me) edible.  Other people in my party said they were delicious.  The crab, shrimp, and artichoke dip is a tasty appetizer--served with crispy, toasted bread. Desserts are excellent, especially the molten chocolate lava cake.

Apparently I have become something of a cocktail snob, but the adult mixed beverages at Anthony's do not disappoint.  Sure, I'll always want more for less, but that's life!

During the week, Anthony's offers early bird specials before 6:00 pm.  I can never get to Everett before 6:00 pm, but the deals are really good and you really can't beat it.  On Sundays, they offer all you can eat crabs (YUM) which makes my husband very happy.

This place can be noisy, and the layout is odd.  You'll definitely feel squeezed in if you go at a busy time.

All in all, if you're in Everett and need a nice restaurant, try Anthony's.

The location and the view are terrific.

My dining experience here depends on the specials.  I'm not particularly fond of a lot of their normal dishes.  Their oyster sampler is good.....but there are no entrees here I would come back time after time for.

The specials usually have something worth trying and they are usually good.  Going here is kind of like an easter egg hunt for me.  I don't know what I might be in for...but I'm willing to find out.

If you're not willing to take chances, I'd probably go down to Ray's Boathouse.

By the way, the food is not British, it is fresh seafood!

One of the nicest places to eat in North Everett.

Things that make this place worth going to:

Patio seating with sunset view
Fresh fish!!
Salad is included in the meal (in the Seattle restaurants, the meal is the same price, but salad is not included)
Great service all the time
Good deals for happy hour and early bird dining

Negatives:

Parking can be a hassle if there is an event at the Marina
The Patio can get windy or the sun glares in your eyes.

No other negatives, always a great time at Anthony's and the best, freshest fish!

Over the years Anthony's has gone down hill. Maybe it's that there are more restaurant choices in the Everett area and it could have been terrible all along. It's got a great spot on the marina, that's about as good as it gets. The food is disappointing, that is unless you like everything dripping in butter. Hopefully they train their wait staff better than they have in the past.

Each time I have been to Anthony's I have had a terrible experience.  Once I ordered halibut and when I cut into the middle to take a bite, it was still frozen, despite the fact I had waited 40 minutes for the food to arrive. When I asked the waitress for different food, she told me it was not their policy to give me different food, but she could "pop it in the microwave!!"   Gee, just what I wanted!
Another time I went (not by my choice, someone thought it would be a nice treat) my food wasn't frozen, but it also wasn't hot. The waitress neglected to bring my drink after I asked politely a few times for it. I went without the soda for the entire meal, but it was definetly on the bill!
Maybe it's just me, but I expect more of a restaurant that's supposed to be "nice."
