Food was delicious and service was delightful.  Four stars instead of five because my glass of wine was stale and the chowder was only mediocre.  I also had the cioppino and a glass of syrah.  I believe that the bartender should be aware of how long each bottle has been sitting open so that people aren't served musty wine.  At least that's what I did when I worked in hospitality.  Oh well.  Not great but certainly not awful.

Came here only because the Happy Hour crowd was overflowing at Elliot's Oyster House and We couldn't get a table.

So I got the 4 course meal before 6pm for $19.95..and it sucked! appetizer:  The chilled bay shrimp cocktail was pretty lame.. basically a cup of diced celery with itty bitty shrimp on top with a bit of cocktail sauce..WEAK! The white clam chowder was good. Entree: Northwest Duet  A salmon filet topped with the small shrimp again, placed on top of a bed of rice with a side of green beans.. and no flavor! The salmon was cooked really dry.  Dessert: a small ice cream sundae = not bad.

The good parts the happy hour special for 6 shooter oysters for $5..probably my favorite part.. Also we got a table with a great view and our server was great.

I would revisit this place to check out their happy hour but that's it.

The friendly lady behind the counter is worth the bump in stars. She was very friendly and helpful!

Unfortunately the food was just meh. I ordered the Alaska true cod and chips and was underwhelmed. The amount was fine, it was the fish that I ordered was slightly soggy instead of crispy. This was not too appetizing.

My fiancee ordered the Mahi Mahi taco and enjoyed hers thoroughly, so maybe if I come back I'll try something else.

The last time i went hear it was way too greasy but I have been here many times and it wasn't so hopefully that isn't the way it is now.  I always order the same thing; salmon fish and chips.  They are mouth watering and fresh (caught that day I believe).  This is the to-go place on the outside of Anthony's main restaurant right on the pier.  Amazing views too.

Seattle seems to prefer the breaded fish and chips over the vastly superior beer-battered variety. Anthony's Fish Bar has the best of the battered I've had this side of the Atlantic. It's consistently hot, crispy, greasy and flavorful. Definitely expensive, but not so much to keep me from stopping in for a fix on nice sunny days.

Just flew in from Cali, so starving, I walked across the st....Magic! Anthony's Pier 66 right by the convention center was ready ( not to be confused with the "bar" section)

Sit down, water view (window), best service, best dessert Peach biscuit with ice cream....(Seasonal PEACH cobbler worth the calories!)

Seafood salad...5* order the dressing on the side if you don't want it to be too "heavy."

Fried seafood sampler (COD; SQUID; SHRIMP) yum. Anything fried tastes good right? Pretty ambiance.  Make sure you order the season fruit dessert.

It appears there may be some reviewer confusion between Anthony's Fish Bar, Bell Street Diner, and maybe even Anthony's Pier 66. This review is for the walk-up little fish bar with the entrance right on Alaskan Way, as opposed to the more upscale, pricier restaurants located in that same building.

We didn't feel like eating at Ivar's or Elliotts, but were hungry by the time we'd walked up to Anthony's. It was a warm Saturday, with one of the bigger cruise ships moored outside, and business was brisk. But the food came out quickly, and the fish was great. Perfectly seasoned tartar sauce, too, which was a nice change from the over-dilled tartar sauces some local restaurants inflict upon their customers. I like dill, just not too much of it, and Anthony's does theirs right.

The counter service was efficient, and the staff was receptive to the people waiting, some of whom were hovering and cranky, even though they'd JUST ordered their food. I wish the menu was a little bit larger, but for a small space, they do a nice job, and put out a great product.

Now, if Anthony's could just make a clam chowder (or oyster stew) like Mo's in Oregon, they'd be golden.

First stop in Seattle? Anthony's Fish Bar -- and I couldn't imagine doing it any other way!

Why? Because the fish tacos were delicious (both the salmon and mahi-mahi were fresh, perfectly grilled, and just the right size), the bar's waterside (you can eat indoors or outdoors), and we came out the other side completely full and happy!

Definitely stop by here if you're walking along the pier for lunch or maybe just to refuel during your day in Seattle. I know I'll definitely be putting this restaurant on the short list of places to RE-visit on any return trips to Seattle!

I was wandering down Alaskan Way (new to town, so I was just sort of exploring) and the hunger hit. I saw Anthony's and there wasn't much of a wait, so I figured I'd check it out. I'm glad I did!
The service was good. The folks at the counter were super friendly, plenty of smiles and one of them chatted with me about beer while waiting for my food. They have only three beers on tap but they're not your usual Bud Lite variety.
I had the Alaskan Cod and chips. It was great! The cod was perfectly cooked. It was nice and flaky, and it wasn't overloaded with breading. The fries were also good, but nothing too special. My only complaint is that the fish was a bit greasy for my taste -- it had clearly just come out of the fryer.
I took my food out to the pier and munched on it while I watched the water. Definitely a nice, cheap, quick eat. I'll be back for the Salmon next time, I think.

Had a lovely Saturday lunch out on the patio on one of Seattle's few hot summer days. Though underwhelmed by the menu (very typical of an upscale seafood restaurant) my chicken sandwich was tasty albeit a tad on the messy side.

I'm quite thrifty, and the menu did not provide much of a selection in terms of cost. A glass of wine, chicken sandwich, and split entree set me back $26 which is too much for lunch.

Still, the ambiance was perfect and service good. Great place to take out of towners, too, because of the killer views.

The ambiance was very cozy too.

Btw, we had the halibut-salmon fish tacos...excellent...and the fish n'chips sampler with salmon, cod, shrimp, and calamari....all fresh and excellent. Even loved the salad they served with it...really yummy!

I ordered the Mahi Taco. The taco is okay. Chips are great though.

Venue- indoor has limited seating, but outdoors have many more tables.

Service- food was served pretty fast. Waitress delivered food to my table but first confused others order with mine. She was still nice and apologized for it.

Price- not very expensive but the portion is small. I normally am happy about the portion I get in lots of restaurant but BUT this one, I am not even filling!!

I wouldn't really be willing to come back unless it's super necessary or I absolutely need a lunch break. But it's a convenient lunch stop location for tourists and all.

3 star for it's view! But that is just really Seattle after all.

My family and I have lived in Seattle for a few years, but this was my first Anthony's experience.  I'd always heard about it being one of the Old Goodies of the seafood restaurants in the area, so I took two friends visiting from the East Coast to lunch.

The atmosphere is great.  On Pier 66, this restaurant has a great view of Elliot Bay and has outdoor seating.  It's right by the Sculpture Park, the Victoria Clipper, and the Edgewater Hotel.

The food was great -- for the most part.  My friend and I ordered clam chowder to start, and it was mediocre at best.   Really disappointed with the clam chowder.  It tasted muddy, and seemed to be more potato and ham than clam.

For the entrees, I got the seafood macaroni and it. was. wonderful.  Fresh crab, tiny shrimp, and panko bread crumbs cover rotini pasta.  (I think it's rotini, but I'm not a huge pasta person.)  One friend got the salmon salad with grapefruit and avocado.  I thought it was okay on a bite, but she ranked it as one of the best salads she's ever had (top ten, maybe not top five).  My other friend got salmon with bay shrimp and rice.  It was good, but kind of blah when compared to the amazingness of the other two dishes.

The other detraction from our meal experience was the lack of cleanliness, in general.  It may have been that our server wasn't paying attention to what he was giving us, but it was pretty gross.  We got a dirty coffee mug and asked to have it replaced.  The waiter said, "Really?" upon hearing this and checked the mug right in front of us.  Maybe this was just curiosity on his part, but it seemed really gauche to be questioning what we said.  He also brought in a new mug that was equally as dirty.  We just wiped that one clean rather than complain again.

Also, I asked for a to go box for the rest of my macaroni, and he brought out a container that was completely soiled with dirty dishwater up one side.  He held it out to me dirty-side first, and all of us had looks on our faces like, "WTF?"  that he couldn't have missed, but somehow did.

I would advocate going here for the food, but not the clam chowder.  Also, I hope they're able to bring the service quality back up to what their reputation demands.

It is what it is...A nice little spot to grab some fish 'n' chips or what have you. The best part about this 'to go' bar is the nice sun-drenched patio on the backside of it.

Grab a beer, a fish taco and some sun. That sounds amazing right now, considering I'm writing this review in December. Although I do hear they have beer and fish tacos in the winter too. :)

While I love Anthony's Pier 66, Anthony's fish bar has been a disappointment the last 2 times I have gone.  I've just been on a fish & chips tour with my mother-in-law who was visiting from Las Vegas.  We tried Spuds on Alki, Ivar's Salmon House, and Anthony's Fish Bar.   Anthony's Fish bar was our least favorite.

We had your basic cod fish & chips.  The batter is more tempura style, and is excessively greasy.  I literally took my fish out of the basket and wrapped them in napkins trying to absorb some of the grease.  Those napkins were pretty gross after, and the fish STILL tasted really greasy.  By the last piece of fish, the batter was just mushy.  I'm not exaggerating.  I ended up taking the tempura batter off the fish and eating just the fish.  The fish itself is fresh and was cooked perfectly.  The fries were a delight.  This is why they get 2 stars instead of 1.

Do yourself a favor, walk 15 steps to your right (aka north), go inside to Anthony's (lower level) and eat instead.  The menu is more extensive, and the food is so much better.

Anthony's Fish Bar is the takeout version of Anthony's. Having visited the Sea-Tac Airport location, I was glad to see a location nearby where I am working in Belltown. It is right on the Waterfront near the Port of Seattle Cruise Terminal on Alaskan Way.

The menu is simple and quick. Prices are decent. It consists of numerous seafood items which include fish (Alaskan true cod) and chips, mahi mahi tacos and shrimp salad. It was also interesting to see a ling cod plate lunch offering on the menu. I ended up getting the fish and chips ($7.95). The cod tasted like "bat-ter." Seriously. The cod is breaded with panko which creates a liquid eggy taste to it which I prefer over Ivar's version, which is also good by the way. Overall, I would recommend Anthony's for a great meal on the Waterfront.

2 Stars for service, my orders have been wrong more than they have been right. That being said, the Fish Tacos are pretty darn good and the cookies are outstanding!

If it's sunny, it's a great place to grab a small meal, sit in the sun with friends and a beer.

I work across the street so it's super convenient.

The view, patio and location are great. The food is pretty good, but management here needs to step it up.

The tables and stools had a dirty film across them, despite there being 2 or 3 people standing in the back doing absolutely nothing. Being the only 2 people in the restaurant, it still took 15 minutes to get my food. I had to walk up and ask for my clam chowder after 15 minutes because the food runner completely forgot about it. The bathroom floors were wet and smelled of old fish. Normally, I don't complain too much about these things, but these things really stand out when I'm the only party being served in a restaurant that seats maybe 30 people inside. It's almost embarrassing that they have a classy and upscale sister restaurant.

Now, about the food... the clam chowder was excellent. Don't miss the salmon fish and  chips. The cod version is solid, but easily dismissible compared to the salmon.

Maybe it was an off day?

This review is for the downstairs restaurant with the more moderate menu prices (not the take out type window either).

I don't really even feel like writing that much about it because it was very mediocre. We had an appetizer of articoke and crab dip that was good but very small. I had the blackened rockfish tacos which were very, very mild; not at all spicy. They weren't bad but they weren't unique or special--they tasted more like baked fish. My husband had the crab cake which he said was really good but it looked really small to me for the price. I can't remember what my parents had but they were unimpressed. They had been here about 5  years ago and remembered it as much better.

The service was horrible! I rarely skimp on a tip but I did here--this waiter needs some training. My husband ordered a second glass of wine that took 20 minutes to get and he had already finished his meal. No silverware, no bread, no water refills. He only checked on us once and we had to get up to look for him twice.

My favorite fish taco in Seattle area.

Get two Mahi-Mahi taco combos with the white clam chowder - one taco won't be enough food for one person.  Ask for extra mayo-salsa, the white cream sauce they put on the tacos, they usually don't put enough and as a result it's a little dry.  Their regular tomato based salsa is really good too so ask for a few more sides of that.

Awesome outside seating.  Right on the pier

The only thing that sucks about this place is the hours: I wish they were open longer!

The Mahi Mahi tacos are grilled to f-ing perfection for a light lunch that will leave room for all the night's cocktails.

I like that you can order off the menu to get things like grilled prawns and other simple seafood WITHOUT it being totally fried like other similar places on the Waterfront.

The big plus for Anthony's is the fresh quality. Go, it's inexpensive & fresh, and not greasy if you order right.

Not a bad lunch spot.  In contrast to the fancy Anthony's upstairs, this is more a takeout spot for people that work on the waterfront.  The menu is basically fish n chips, fish tacos, and chowder with a few random items thrown in.  Considering what it you get and what you'd pay, I'd opt for Ivar's but this isn't a bad option for a appetizing and somewhat healthy lunch.

Nice white sauce over beautiful pieces of fresh fish. Fresh crisp cabbage, a little cilantro and lime. Delicious! There is also a location around my neck of the woods in Richland, WA. Check it out.

Quick, cheap and filling-- that's the motto here.  The true cod was above average, the clams were a bit salty but deliciously crunchy, and the ling cod lunch plate special, while tasty, was waaaaaaayyyyy too tiny a portion to be satisfying.  The clam chowder was great but not world endingly delicious, and certainly worth the $3.  Don't expect anything from the chips (fries) though, as they seem like refried McDonald's fries.  Right across from the hotel I was at, so it was good enough for a quick lunch.

They are seriously amazing, and soo fresh! I love that the fish is NOT breaded, it's not something they pulled out of a bag in the freezer and steam back to life either. The sauce they put on their tacos is a delicious spicy cream sauce that goes perfectly with the cabbage, fish, and salsa! Their chips and salsa are delightlful as well!
