Anthony's Bar

The food is excellent & reasonably priced for the quality.
It is a very nice place in a safe neighborhood.
The coffee was very overpriced.

Great place for dinner, my friends and I had a great experience. The cocktails and the food were amazing. I had the hummus, and I'd order again. The place had a nice atmosphere, and the service was impeccable. We were served by a nice and friendly lady, who took good care of us. The management was also good, we arrived at the front desk and we didn't wait too long to go to our table, everything was prepared and waiting for us. Everyone was very professional.

We love the place for lunch - service, atmosphere, everything is great except. . . . . this was the second time we ordered one of their great burger's at lunch and ordered it cooked medium. What we got was an extremely well done burger to the point where it was dried out and lacked any flavor. Could the fault lie with the server who neither time (two different servers) wrote anything down, or did the cook just not properly cook it?
It's just a disappointment to pay a premium price (which we don't mind doing for a premium lunch) and getting an improperly cooked food item that we didn't enjoy.

Called in make reservations for Tony's.

Spoke to Elizabeth said Tony's was all booked but we could reserve a table in the bar.

They called to confirm the reservation I said the date and time and confirmed a table.

However, our party was seated at the bar not a table in the bar area for dinner.

While the food was as good as before I do it like the bait and switch at the new location.

If I wanted to sit at the bar I would have requested that.

What is the sense of taking and confirming reservations if you do NOT Honor your reservations?!

Tiny and very elegant old-school restaurant and bar that has a very cool and intimate vibe. Very large square bar that is beautiful.

Expensive $$$

Next-door brother to Tony's, and serves Tony's full menu + a small menu of their own.

Very good service

I got the swordfish and it was a little undercooked then I prefer, but, too be fair, they asked me how I wanted it cooked. I honestly didn't even know that you had to specify a temperature for fish though.

The swordfish came with a side choice, and there were a ton of different options. I got a side salad with white sauce and it was fantastic.

The new location in Clayton is beautiful - upstairs from Tony's. My companion and I both got the fish of the day which was outstanding. Highly recommend.

They do not take reservations at Anthony's so you may want to go early.

Although they have a dress code on the website some folks were clearly not following it - flip flops, doctors' scrubs, etc.

Fabulous old bar with great food and service.
We really enjoyed the conversations and food suggestions from the staff, including the man that o believe was the original owner's son.

This was a bar/restaurant I have wanted to try for a while. I ended up coming here on a random Thursday for lunch after I had some errands to run downtown. This was a solo-lunch but I didn't mind sitting at the bar on my own because everyone else there was also on their own. If you don't know exactly where the entrance is, I find this a little hard to find as it is inside an office building. It is very fancy but very clean and I find it a very beautiful bar. They have awesome lunch specials- because it was cold out, I ordered the pumpkin bisque and the pasta dish. They know how to cater to a lunchtime crowd as the service was very prompt and the turnover of people and food was fast. The waitstaff is very attentive, and they come to check on you often. The lunch menu is extremely affordable and I would love to come back on other days to explore their menu a bit more!

Excellent upscale bar in downtown St. Louis. Walking distance to the Cardinal's Busch Stadium, Hilton Hotel, Gateway Arch and hundreds of other city attractions.

The bar is intimate with gorgeous décor, amazing service and delicious food from salads, hummus steak, pork chops to flatbreads, baked goat cheese and risotto. Please note the Hummus was prepared to perfection and the Pinot was poured with TLC, just for me. That is all.

Carpet was filthy, glasses dirty and no working heat when there. Food was tasteless/over cooked steak &
Pork chop. Only shining spot was Joe the waiter who great however I would not recommend.
