Annie's is a great shop with plenty of seating, friendly and knowledgeable staff, and great atmosphere. As I recall, it does not serve wine, but it sells bottled wine. The baked goods were yummy, and a nice variety of fair-trade and organic coffee is available. It seems to be a favorite of both locals and tourists.

IMPORTANT: As with many cafes in Western North Carolina, this is closed Sunday and Monday.

Main Street in Sylva, by the way, is one of the best main street walking districts I've seen. The independent music shop down the street has everything from local to global, and smart young people who know the music! After a snack at Annies, walk to the end of the street to climb the courthouse steps -- great view and a little workout!

A great bakery and coffee shop.  Love the sandwiches, cookies, and cakes.  Even the gluton free muffins are good (and I love gluten--seriously--it's the best). They're now open on Mondays and even have bottles of wine available.  Another treasure in Sylva.

My wife thinks the place is great, I think it is over priced & overrated.

The wife is from TX and thinks Tacos are baked goods.

The four is for great  artisan breads and a good sandwhich. I had a Cuban and  it as solid, but left a little hungry from the very  small side  of  fruit they gave me.  It is a really cute bakery on Main Street in Sylva.  I cold have picked breads for days as there were many choices. Apparently the bakery itself is now in Asheville. So for  me, this is great.  At Annie's I get to support my hometown of Asheville...as well as the great locals in Sylva...at the same time!

I have been to Annie's for lunch numerous times and have been happy with each experience.  Thier food is always fresh and the service is always  fast and friendly.  Occasionally we go in just for a treat.  They have an awesome array of desserts. Some days you can smell the bread baking as you drive by on the back street and it makes your mouth water!  Definitely stop in if you are in the area.

Annie's Cafe is a great gourmet cafe in a small town setting. It is located on Downtown Sylva's main street. It is a small cafe that has a lot to offer. They have great pastries and desserts, as well as a great lunch menu. I had the Californian sandwich, and although I can't really remember what was in it as I ate here a month ago, I do remember that it was excellent. For dessert, I had a personal fruit tart, which tasted great. There was nothing bad about this cafe in my opinion. Overall, if you're in Western NC, make a trip to Sylva, which is worth the trip alone, and eat lunch at Annie's.
