I've waited a long time to write this review for Annie - That's because it's taken that long for me to find that special someone to marry and I've known all along that I would hire Annie to do my flowers. Annie did the flowers for my wedding last month, and you know how you hype up a [really good] movie and when you finally get to see it, you're often disappointed because it didn't live up to your expectations?
Not the case here. Annie and her floral creations were everything I imagined it would be.
From the bouquets, boutonnieres, and decorations... Each flower was perfect, as if she hand picked each one herself that very morning. No bruises, wilting, or smashed flowers. And all the flowers she used! No foliage and unnecessary greenery here - just gorgeous flowers beautifully and perfectly arranged.
If you look at the pictures, you'd think that someone only did that for the photographer - but I can tell you that all her flowers look like that all of the time.
I asked for circus roses (orange w/red tips) and orchids ... the colors were vivid and gorgeous. I kept expecting the roses to wilt... instead they lasted for at least a week without water, looking as fresh as it did the day of my wedding. It probably would've lasted even longer - but I had to start preserving them.
Annie is also very easy to work with. She's punctual, calm, attentive, down-to-earth, takes the time to listen to your vision and works hard to turn it into reality. It was one aspect of my day I did NOT have to worry about at all.
Annie did such a wonderful job with our flowers. She's super easy to work with, extremely talented, patient and very flexible! I've lost count on the number of times I made changes to our floral proposal and every time, Annie welcomed each request with such grace and ease!
Our floral centerpieces turned out so beautiful and were such a hit with our guests! Even after the wedding, guests were asking me if we had extra centerpieces to give out. My personal favorite were the pieces she did for our sweetheart table and my bouquet!

Annie did a great job with the flowers for my wedding. My now-husband and I went in to meet Annie with a picture of what we wanted and she said that it would be no problem. We were pretty clueless about who should get flowers and Annie walked us through the process and made us feel really comfortable. We felt that her prices were reasonable, as we were having a larger wedding - but, she does have a $2500 minimum.
I was disappointed though, because I specifically told Annie that I wanted orchids in my arrangements, and a month before the wedding she told me that if I wanted orchids in the centerpieces they would be an additional $5 for each flower. Our contract specifically stated that there would be orchids in the arrangements, but I did not feel like getting into it with her - I already had enough wedding drama with my other vendors. So, I would be very specific about what you want and hold her to your contract.
If you use Annie as your florist you will be very, very happy with your choice!!!
I was introduced to Annie through a very good friend of mine. She did an amazing job on the flowers of our August 16th wedding. Annie definitely is very talented! I am not a flower person...I don't know the name of flowers other than roses...so I was really looking for someone who I could trust to create beautiful arrangements. Annie is organized, professional, and most importantly responsive and accommodating. It helps a great deal when it comes to wedding planning.
I would recommend her to anyone!
prompt email response! My review is less about her flowers and more informational about pricing. Minimum of $2500 and friendly to deal with. If you're doing something small (or less expensive) probably not for you.
Annie and her team did the flowers for my wedding ceremony at the Presidio Main Post Chapel and the reception at the Presidio Golden Gate Club.
Annie is talented, professional, easy to work with, honest in her opinions, straight forward and reliable. There were quite a few "cooks in the kitchen" and a high level of family involvement at our wedding and Annie was able to diplomatically balance that often complicated dynamic.
The flowers were beautiful and I appreciated her recommendation to cut back on flowers and instead save money for uplighting. She felt lighting would create the ambiance we wanted in our reception room with such high ceilings and she was right!
Annie is a very talented florist who did the flowers for my wedding in April. Her arrangements were very beautiful. I especially loved the table arrangements (pink roses and hydrangas placed on top of candelabras (provided by the Marine Memorial Club, the location of our reception)) and the head table flowers (laid greenery mixed in with some pink roses), and the flower girl hair wreath.
My only complaint is about my bridal bouquet. We ordered a cascading bouquet of white roses and stephanotis. the bouquet she brought did cascade slightly, but not nearly as much as we had envisioned. Annie very graciously offered to add more flowers to the bouquet though to make it cascade more. She was prepared and had the materials available to do this at the last minute which I thought was great! It still did not cascade as much as we had wanted, but it was very beautiful (it did have trouble staying intact though...I started losing flowers right after the ceremony).
Annie is very pleasant to work with. She has a sweet temperament, is professional, and very talented (especially in table/altar arrangements and other flowers that are not being moved around a lot).
Similar to another yelper here, I first saw Annie's work at a friend's wedding. Her beautiful and elegant work immediately prompted me to make a mental note to have her as my wedding florist. When I got engaged ten months later, Annie was the first vendor I contacted. I was more than thrilled when she graciously agreed to work with me, when my wedding was two weeks before her own. :)
Annie was so extremely pleasant to work with and she made the planning process a breeze! She listened to my ideas (or lack thereof), made awesome suggestions, filled in some blanks in my mind, and viola!, out came the most beautiful floral arrangements for my wedding. I received so many compliments from my friends and family, and I agreed with them all!
What made Annie even more valuable was that she was dependable and efficient. Since my ceremony and reception were at two separate locations, I asked her to transport the flowers for me and made changes to some of the arrangements. She did them all with absolute perfection. I was more than impressed!!
I would not hesitate to recommend Annie to any bride. Believe me, you will not be disappointed!
this might sound cheesy, but when i first saw the movie "a cinderella story" with hilary duff and that scene came on when she was wearing a mask in that flower pagoda dancing with her guy, i knew that i wanted my wedding to have that same kind of romantic scenery.
i saved a picture of the scene and sent it over to annie. through our initial proposal process, we had discussed making our wedding arch look like that special scene. after a few color changes in my wedding scheme, annie was ever so patient and professional in accomodating my indecisiveness. she has a way of making the bride and groom feel at ease because she has the talent and drive to make dreams happen.
suggesting brilliant ideas from her experience and creativity, annie was able to create masterpieces for our wedding. when i first laid eyes on the wedding arch, i was breathless. it was really nothing short of MAGICAL. the way annie captured my vision and made it into a reality was far beyond whimsical.
our table centerpieces, flower balls, bouquets, boutinnieres, and cake decorations were STUNNING! our fairytale wedding became possible through annie's help, and i couldn't recommend a better wedding florist. she was like my fairy godmother :)
Being a wedding photographer, I've seen so many types of people who think they know flowers. This changed for me last year when I photographed a wedding that Annie had done the flowers for. They were, without question, the most exquisite arrangements I have ever seen. Without being over the top or overly floral, they were clean and lovely- with every flower being perfect. No smashed or bruised flowers that I have seen with other florists. She comes highly recommended."
