Along with my family, I have been a patient of Dr. Crenesse for years. She is a thorough doctor and a very pleasant person. However, her staff particularly the receptionists; are unprofessional and unorganized. I can't begin to tell you how many times I've been put on hold, longer than 10-15 minutes without an explanation and have been hung up on. The phones always seem to be busy; sometimes the only way to speak to someone directly is by visiting in person. The only reason why I've kept Dr.Crenesse as my Primary Care Physician (PCP) is because I have a history with her and overall she is a great doctor. The unprofessionalism of her office has been going on for years, at her old location (Clinton Street) and now at the new location. I have expressed my dissatisfaction time and time again, but nothing seems to change. I feel compelled to stay, but I can longer tolerate the way the business is been operated.
I'll keep you'll posted!!!
Dr. Crenesse is great. I just saw her for the first time yesterday - it was a 5pm appt and I probably saw her around 5:45pm, but she made a point of staying to talk with me for as long as I needed. Yes, there's a long wait, but she's so clearly caring and professional that it's worth it. I think I'll stick to her as my primary care.
On her staff - I found them to be pretty friendly. Short in their responses, and not prone to lingering over conversation, but that makes sense in a busy doctor's office, right? I did make a point of being really polite to them, and they were pretty kind to me in return.
If you can afford the wait time, I say go!
I think Dr. Anne Crenesse is a kind and thoughtful person. She takes established patients in the morning. This is great for sick people.
I am glad that I found her.
Dr. Crenesse is the kind of doctor you can really talk to. She is professional yet warm and caring. Her office can get very busy, so expect a wait sometimes (even if you have an appointment) because it's a busy practice. She takes a very practical approach to things and is also very accessible for prescriptions, etc. She's superb!!
I've been bringing my kids to Dr. Crenesse for years. She's honest, warm, professional and gifted. Everything you need and want in a doctor. I appreciated her care for my kids so much that I also switched to her for my own care as well. We love her and pray she never moves! The wait times are crazy though - be prepared for that.
Dr. Anne Crenesse is a busy family practitioner in Brooklyn Heights who has a wonderful bedside manner and will remember all about you, even if you only see her once a year. She is not prescription-happy, which is something I appreciate, but will give you an Rx if you need it. Furthermore, she's got such a vast knowledge of medicine that she will give you an old-school, not oft-prescribed drug if she thinks it'll help you. When I had a lingering cough that was not responding to anti-biotics, she tried what she called an old-school drug that no one prescribes anymore, but what helped quell the mysterious cough (the medicine was a cough suppresant that quiets the nerves leading to coughing, some type of bizarre somatic condition that can remain even when the infection is gone).
She's resourceful, well-connected (has given good refs to other doctors), charming, and just enough sassy to make visits to see her much better than the toil most people experience when seeing their doctor.
