6 reviews for Annapolis Marriott Waterfront
If you like to see the water, the Annapolis Marriott Waterfront is the best located hotel in the city.
Pay the extra (the hotel's expensive for what it is, so you might as well anyway) and reserve one of the few rooms with a balcony, there you can sit and enjoy watching the boats come and go.
The other water view rooms really offer little in comparison and from most, as someone else noted, you will see one of the two parking lots that flank either side of the hotel.
The decor and service are passable and the location is good. The hotel is certainly lacking any wow-factor though.
Worth a detour for a balcony room; otherwise save your money and stay elsewhere.

I'm embarrassed to say that this was the first time in 19 yrs that dh and I got away together; alone! So sad! How does that happen? We were lucky to get away together and our destination was local; we went to Annapolis. It was fantastic. We wined, we dined, we romanced....we reconnected. The sparks were flying everywhere! We were able to talk without interruption for the need of a peanut butter and jelly sandwich or something like that....... Everything was new and fun again. It was hard to leave and go back to reality. We will always have the memory of that fabulous night.
Oh yeah, the hotel was decent too! Definitely going back.

I have stayed here for weekend getaways and used the hotel for corporate events. I say overall its a good bet. The location is a good as it gets. Regular Marriott rooms, clean comfortable. They do not nice job with events. The restaurant "Pussers" is privately owned and is a very good restaurant on its own. This is a popular summer hang out for tourist and locals. The sailboat ride off the Pussers dock is mind boggling. You can walk all over Annapolis from this location. The hotel is very expensive during the summer or prime season. May-October.
I've stayed at this hotel on average about 5-7 times a year over the past 5 years'. I've found myself overlooking the lack of modernization and service as a trade-off for the great location and views of downtown Annapolis. After my most recent visit, I've decided that I'll take my business up West Street to the Westin. As a Marriott Platinum member and over 1,000,000 points, perhaps I've come to expect a bit more when staying at Marriott, but it's clear this hotel will never be able to deliver the experience I expect. The staff is both arrogant and apathetic, and the rooms are in dire need of overhaul. If you end up staying on the first floor, hope that you're not there on a Thursday-Saturday night, as the overflow from Pussers Bar is so loud when using the hotel restrooms, they have to have security roaming the halls until 3:00 AM in the morning....very sad...it's a great hotel that has lost it's way.
Standard Marriott rooms (upgraded bedding, but no flat screens yet). Overpriced, but you pay for the location. There's cheaper parking to be had across the bridge. "Water view" rooms won't escape a nice view of the parking lot, either. Pussers is the best name for a bar ever, though.

God I hate doing events here. Perhaps mostly due to the staff's Hawaiian shirts (it's really hard to put on a black tie wedding when the staff is wearing Hawaiian shirts in the middle of it, and it's frustrating that they appear to be oblivious to this). But it seems to be one of the only places that people recognize to hold a reception in, so I guess as long as I'm putting on special events I'm doomed to put up with it.
