I love paper so when I saw that this store opened, I had to make a stop inside. OMG, I want to touch everything. Such a lovely selection of paper. It's much smaller than Paper Doll but so much closer to the heart of Division St.
My only knock is that the hours aren't consistent with what is posted on the door. I've come a few times to find that it is closed. Sigh.

I walked in here the other day, just happy that I'm near a cards & paper store. I'm the type of person who can spend 30 minutes trying to pick out a card for somebody. They have hundreds of cute cool cards, and a bunch of different types of wrapping paper and ribbons. It's a gift giver's heaven (But not a thrift giver's I'm sure).
Anjenu makes me wish that I had a reason to give someone a card!

I truly love this store. It is indeed pretty, well organized and the staff is really nice.
I buy all my cards here. They have a lot of choice. You can even order your wedding invitation, birth announcement, new home cards.....
It is a perfect location. I am hoping that they will stay in business for awhile.

I must have bought a thousand cards here. Cards for birthdays, cards for weddings, cards for no reason at all. Super cute selection of cards I don't really see anywhere else.
Though Hallmark has its place in the world, I really like stores like this, that offer unique and adorable offerings because I know the recipient isn't going to get a duplicate one of these cards. Sweet little gift items and totally unnecessary random items that I can't really ever seem to resist. That's okay. I will find someone to share it with when the time is right.
Exceptional sales for those of you who buy ahead of time. Not me. Nothing says "I care" like a one of a kind card from Anjenu, even if it was purchased on the fly, ten minutes before. Really friendly staff and a frisky little pup that likes to welcome you with a kiss to the ankle!

Cute store with somewhat of a variety of different card designers in stock; they do have a little sales bin up at front color-coded with stars in regards to the discount percentages off (even though they are usually cards you really don't care about having/buying); the rest of the cards in the store range from $2.50 to $6. Kind of pricey; small cute store with a cute dachshund up at the front (with friendly owners), but not enough of a selection for me.

Whatever you're celebrating, commemorate it with a card from Anjnu.
Ingnue (an-zhuh-noo) refers to the role of a nave, innocent girl in a dramatic production. Anjnu brings back the innocence of a handmade card with incredibly artistry. The store specializes in custom invitations and announcements, but you'll also find an assortment of stationery, journals, and cards for every occasion. Hallmark may dominate the market, but Anjnu offers high quality with a personal touch. Jewelry from more than a dozen local designers is also on display.
Stop in, and pick up a little piece of ingenuity.

Kristie Lee Wagner has a classy operation.
She is a talented paper artist and a very pleasant person to deal with on a service level.
Her product is what I had been searching for an array of HANDMADE stationary.
I would much rather pay 6.00 for a handmade card that someone took time to make than 3.00 for a mass produced Hallmark Card. However I don't think like the majority of the population.
I can't wait to go back and order more special cards that is what this store is special for special occassions.

Anjenu is fantastic - a great option for anything letter press. If you're looking for some original "Chicago" style card options - definitely check out the neighborhood line that Kristie (the owner) has created with a local photographer.
If you have a hard time with remembering dates (birthdays, anniversaries, etc.), they have a service that you can sign up for that will automatically send you an appropriate card for any ocassion - just bring your calendar in.
I've personally lucked out with some really nice, very elegant Thank You cards. If you want to say "Thank You" and impress someone - check out Anjenu's selection. Check out the fun line of jewelry while you're there - and say hi to Molasses (cutest mini dach ever).

This is a cute little paper shop which has taken the place of Paper Doll, who moved down the street into a larger space. Anjnu has a pretty sparse selection of paper goods, but what they do have appears to be very nice, high quality stuff. They've got the basics you'd expect when walking in: stationery, wrapping paper, cards, paper, gift wrapping - some of which appear to be handmade. I think I saw that they also offer custom letterpress invitations and announcements, but I didn't explore that too deeply.
The woman running the shop went out of her way to be helpful, but clearly this store is just getting its "land legs." While the limited and small selection lends itself to not feeling as cramped as Paper Doll did, I hope that in the future they'll carry more items to keep me from walking the extra few blocks to Paper Doll's new space.

Wow! I am a paper addict (kind of a dumb not to mention pricey obsession) and I tend to be super picky about greeting cards. I was pleasantly suprised to find almost all of the cards at Anjnu to be to my liking! The selection isn't as large as Paper Doll but certainly isn't lacking. They don't have as wide of an array of non card products as other paper boutiques but they do have Paddywax candles (wonderful), wrapping paper and jewelry. The staff is friendly and really the price is the only downside although most of the cards are certainly on par with other cute paper stores.
I stepped into this shop for the first time this past weekend. It's a cute little boutique that sells handmade cards, stationery, wrapping paper, jewelry and various gifts (including baby items). They also provide customized announcements and invitations. Some of their selection include Paddywax candles, The Soap and Paper Factory, and Orange Beautiful to name a few. There isn't a huge selection, but what is available is unique. If you want to give a non-mainstream card or gift that will make you stand out, Anjenu is one of those places to check out.

Cute shop with equally cute cards, although a somewhat small selection. Don't overlook the jewelry - I bought a necklace there that has gotten so many compliments. While you're there, say hello to Molasses the mini-dachshund!

Anjenu has saved me more than once in a last minute card emergency, but $6 a pop? Cripes!
Great cards and great quality and selection, but they are pretty expensive. I know and understand they have to be since they are a small shop and the items they carry are quality, but it is a little over board. Great space and great items, I love that one can order anything from wedding, baby to moving announcements and they can even be personalized.
