Review from Rob J.
Brighton, MA
I give Angelica's five stars because it is the best restaurant in the seabright-highlands area. It has legitimately good italian food. Most of the other places are charging NY prices for sub-par food that I could cook better myself. Angelica's on the other hand is a seafood- heavy italian restaurant that has good sauces and fresh fish. The staff is friendly, forced italian accents and all. The prices are on the high end for the area 22-30 bucks for a non-pasta entree. I had the zuppa di pesce which had a load of shellfish in a nice broth. Another time I had lobster ravioli in a vodka sauce, also tasty. Oh i almost forgot my favorite part about the place- BYOB!

Dinner consisted of (literally) the worst house salad I've ever eaten. In fact, it tasted as though it had gone rancid. The linguine with garlic and oil had no visible garlic flavor, oil flavor, or any other flavor. Just tasted like wet linguine. My fiancee had tilapia, and when asked how it was, he replied "it doesn't taste like anything".

Disaster. Rude wait staff. Awful food. What more can I write?
I ordered a salad and a bruschetta appetizers as my main meal because I couldn't find anything on the menu that sounded edible. The food was way over priced for what it was and anything that came out of the kitchen looked just average...My salad was soggy and there wasn't very much lettuce to it???The Bruschetta came out with burnt cheese and the tomatoes & lettuce was in the middle of the appetizer plate not on top of the toast. When I wanted to get the waiter's attention he was no where to be found and another waiter came to my table and told me that I had no idea how to eat Bruschetta. He continued to SCOLD me...He wasn't even our waiter. Moments later, our waiter showed up and was rude and very angry. We spent almost $40 for a salad and my husband had 4 raviolis. That is all we ate...
These people do not understand that the economy is in the worst turmoil and they cannot afford to let any one person walk out the door disatisfied. I also plan to write the Better Business Bureau about this place. DO yourself a favor, do not bother with this stinky place!!! Get get a slice of pizza instead down the street!!!!!!! -

I've been here about 4 times, the food is hit or miss. Had lobster meat over pasta on valentines day and had to spit out about a dozen pieces of lobster shell. Unacceptable! Also it seemed like they slowed down service to keep the place appearing to be full. I've had some really fantastic meals here, but it's inconsistent enough that I will stop going. There's a lot of comparable places in the area I can rely on for good food and service.

We have been going to Angelica's for years!!! It is our favorite restaurant!!! It's vibrant and fun.....the wait staff can't be better not to mention the manager Frank who is great and the owner terrific!! The food is always the same.....fabulous and their specials are "special".....We love the fact that we can bring our own wine! The veal dishes are great as well as the pasta's.......sorry I can't comment on the deserts....never have room!!! We have been taking friends and family there for years!!! Most accomodating!!! I wouldn't miss it if i was you! I give it 5 stars!!
