The folks at Animal Medical Clinic are great. I've been taking my cats there for over four years, for everything from a check-up to major surgery, and every time I've been impressed with the quality of care.
For example, when I had to euthanize my old and very sick cat a few months ago, the staff were incredibly kind and went out of their way to make us comfortable. Then, last month, when I took my slightly feral (read: hissing and scratching) one year old cat in for an eye infection, Dr Dilday was like a cat whisperer in how well he handled him.
As long as I have pets, I'll be taking them to AMC. -

The care, treatment and professionalism here is so bad I am honestly scared that they are a working clinic. I believe we saw Dr. Clark and he couldn't have cared less what was going on or why we were there. I swear more than once he even asked "What do want me to do" and "What am I doing...." kind of thing even though I gave a thorough explanation of why we there. He barely touched her, examined her 10 seconds maybe. I had to TELL HIM what test to run.......?! And they treated my cat like a rag doll. NEVER AGAIN!
Scary place. -

We still keep Animal Medical Clinic as our go-to, primary vet, even though we don't live downtown anymore.
When we moved to Gresham, we took our cat to Animal Medical Clinic.
When we moved near Woodstock, we took both our dog and cat to Animal Medical Clinic.
Why: they are awesome. And a reasonably priced veterinarian.
Reasonable pricing + vet usually don't ever combine in the same sentence. Ever.
The whole staff is knowledgable, compassionate, and when they take one of our "kids" to the back room, I feel okay and not completely freaked out.
When we first got our little pom, we were worried to leave for work, as he was wheezing funny--thinking it was a collapsed trachea (pomeranians are susceptible to this), Animal Medical Clinic let us drop him off and observe him while we were at work all day. Thankfully, he was fine, and we had to pay less than $100 for them to observe him all day.
They know I'm a bit of a Nervous Nellie pet parent, and instead of fighting it or rolling their eyes at me (hubby does this), they answer all my questions.
Bonus- they're downtown, and have their own parking lot. Double bonus: they're open on Saturdays and open early during the workweek. -

I could not recommend AMC and Dr Dilday enough. My partner and I just got pack from taking our puking kitty there and the first thing I wanted to do was let people know that he's the best. He answered all of our questions, was very helpful, and most importantly didn't try to foist expensive exploratory tests and whatnot on kitty. It's hard to find a vet that doesn't try to guilt you into spending unnecessary money on your animal, but Dr Dilday is very low pressure. He outlined our options and let us know about expensive tests/treatments he could possibly consider down the road, but suggested we take things one step at a time.

I've been taking both of my cats to this location for almost 3 years and they are the most caring, reliable vets I've ever had!
Dr. Eddy is sweet, compassionate and understanding and loaded with experience and advice for how to combat our cat's picky digestive system.
The vet techs are amazing as are the ladies at the front desk. All around, this clinic is absolutely fantastic and (OMG!) reasonably priced! -

I adopted two cats from the Oregon Humane Society, took them to Animal Medical Clinic and could not have been more unimpressed with the staff. They were harsh, inattentive, unfriendly and not professional. After two visits I switched over to NW Neighborhood Veterinary Hospital and have now been going there for two years. It has made a world of difference, not to mention the Animal Medical Clinic staff didn't catch a couple major issues my cats had coming straight from the Humane Society. I wouldn't recommend them one bit and would never go back. I do however highly recommend the NW Neighborhood Veterinary Hospital, with top quality animal care and competent/friendly staff.

My sweetest cat, Bay Bay had a eating problem and I took him into Animal Medical Clinic where the very friendly staff was able to help me get him well. He had to have a feeding tube for 6 weeks and were in and out of their office many times over that very long month and a half. And I called the office so much that I was on a first name basis with most of the staff and technicians. I was a wreck and they held my hand through the entire thing. They are great. There are lots of technicians and they are not the best about documenting all of the details. We had a little issue with them not knowing when the medications were given and he missed a few. All and all I would recommend them and we will go back if we need to.

I made a yelp account specifically to write a review for Animal Medical Clinic. My boyfriend and I just adopted our beautiful baby girl kitten and after looking around at reviews on yelp, we decided to take her here. (it's also a bonus that this location is literally 3 minutes away from our apartment ^__^).
When we got to the office we weren't disappointed. The receptionists were both really welcoming and very friendly with our little Luna. We didn't even have to wait that long for our appointment, either. The veterinary technician who took her weight was wonderful as well. She was very loving and affectionate and was surprisingly good at easing our little jumpy girl onto the scale and calming her down. And doctor Dilday is absolutely fantastic. He was very informative, and didn't talk down to us (being newbie cat parents and all) like I've known some veterinarians in vancouver to do. He even answered all of our questions in detail and told us what to expect in financial costs for the next year or so (which is really helpful when we know what to plan for).
All in all I am extremely satisfied with our choice in doctors for our little baby and definitely recommend this location for everyone who want their pets in the best of care when they're ill =) -

We love Animal Medical Clinic. Dr. Dilday is always great with our pups, and takes the time to answer all our questions (even my slightly paranoid pet-mommy ones). We've continued to take our dogs there even after we moved farther away -- the clinic is worth schlepping across town for. Check them out! :)

I really like and appreciate the staff at Animal Medical Clinic. I've been through five pets with them over the past 18 - 19 years. During that time I tried a number other clinics that were closer to home, but I keep going back to AMC. When I've had urgent concerns they've 'squeezed' my pets into the schedule, no hassles. The doctors and techs have always been kind, knowledgeable and helpful. And with the very high costs of all the others vets I've been to in town, this one has stayed reasonably priced.

We recently bought 2 purebred Bengal kittens, and I did some research on Yelp for a vet to take them for a regular check-up and spay. Because of the great Yelp reviews (and their $50 spay coupon on Oregon Humane Society's website), we chose Animal Medical Clinic. They were able to fit us in for an evening appointment within 1 day of calling to make the appointment (bonus points in my book). Our vet was Tracy Mento, and I can't recommend her enough. She really took the time to check our kittens out, explain her procedures, and answer all of our questions. She didn't try to push any unnecessary services and really treated our kittens like they were her own. Since our vet visit 2 months ago, I've called and left voicemails for Tracy with questions and concerns for little things I've noticed with our kittens (for example, one of our kittens started having a watery eye). Yes, I'm one of those annoying pet owners...but aren't we all?? Anyways, Animal Medical Clinic ALWAYS returned my concerned voicemails within 2 hours. I love this! For their amazing customer service and reasonable prices, I will only take my pets to Animal Medical Clinic.

My dogs have been going to AMC for over 12 years and the care, service, and staff have been great for primary care and most procedures the dogs have had.
