I have been shopping here for years and  always find what I'm looking for, as well as good customer service and prices. This vintage store has been a Venice staple for years and the owner is so nice and helpfull.

If your looking for vintage or a little Venice shopping search no further. I have found clothing, shoes, and hats of all styles. As one of my favorite places to buy gifts I have found items to fit any style or occasion.

My girl loves it too=they have a great selection of vintage clothing for both sexes. Awesome shop with awesome clothing run by awesome people.

Let me start by saying, I LOVE Animal House. It is one of my favorite shops in Venice.
Everytime I go there I leave with something whether it be vintage or new. I usually shop in the sale section b/c the new stuff seems a bit spendy for what it is. Whoever is buying there does a great job. I've found some great vintage Pringle sweaters there. They also have a great collection of vintage Pucci.
Sometimes they are a little bit cheaper then department stores sometimes a little more expensive but only by a couple of bucks. Overall I think their competitive. Definitely worth it to shop here and get some unique pieces for your wardrobe.

Strolling around in Venice we stumbled upon Animal House and decide to go in. There was a good mix of vintage and name brand new clothes. Lots of hats for guys, tons of flip flops and good deals on the sales racks. I love LA Made and Splendid brand clothing and this place had a huge selection and for pretty reasonable prices. A few bucks cheaper than Macy's or Nordstrom at least.

But what I could not stop staring at were the Mukluks. They are tall, multicolored sweater like slipper socks with suede bottoms. They were only $10 bucks so i said what the hey it's pay day and I scooped me up a pair.

Staff working was friendly. Will be returning! Mukluks for all this Christmas!

I discovered this place when I first moved to Venice and got a super sweet 1982 KLOS Frank Zappa T-shirt there, which I love.

The store is well organized, not cluttered and has a nice blend of vintage and new clothing.

They are nice to my dog and everyone there is nice in general.

    Cool spot, with cool stuff...

Randy is the owner and I bought some vans there for 10 bucks.
Jeff Ho bring Zephyr shirts to the shop, shirts he makes personally.
    Got one.

    Looking forward to going back.

    Where's all the vintage?

Gorgeous and cozy layout.  Fun and great conditioned clothes... but not so much vintage.  It's mostly new things with a few pieces here and there.

I took a walk on my lunch to see what people were talking about.  I loved many of the dresses I saw there.  I wished they were smaller.  I wished they were priced a bit lower.   However despite many of the items being very cute here, they were far more expensive and not anything super "I'll never find this anywhere else."

Most everything in that store was on the pricier ($20+) left of center.  There are new books and shoes in the back.  There's some great hats  on the top of the front spindles.

It's a touch too posh for where it's located to me personally.  It's a shop that comes off like it should be in Santa Monica.. not Venice.

I just didn't feel the heart I am used to feeling in a real thrift store.  *shrug*

Love, love, love this place! I saw Jeff Ho the first few times I visited; once I saw the Zephyr gear on sale I knew the place was certified.

There's a great combination of vintage and new clothing with a small selection of Vans and books in the back as well. I bought easily the coolest hat I own during a random trip there when shopping was the last thing on my mind.

It's a cool store with cool folks running it.

Always stop by here to see what's going on in Venice. They always have a good selection of vintage and trendy new stuff. I love the Peter max clocks on the wall. One day I am going to break down and by one. The vintage seems to be edited and in good condition.

they have a mixture of new and vintage clothing.  The new clothing are hip/artistic while the vintage has style and one of a kind.  They have a few distinction artistic books at the back, which i want to take home but couldn't afford.  The price is reasonable, it's just I'm broke.

I love Animal House! The biggest collection of Made, great jeans, Vans, vintage and a great sales rack. But the best part is being greeted by my AH friends. You guys rock, have style and always have the bumping beats.

This store is one of my favorite finds.  The perfect mix of new and vintage clothing.  Juicy apparel on sale starting at fifteen dollars!  Perfectly picked vintage dresses and new wifebeaters in every color at affordable prices.  Check it out, you won't regret it.  If you're feeling adventurous you can stop by next door at Asylum for a tattoo, all my x -boyfriends did.

I stumbled in here and noticed that the prices are good. They have a small cool selection of men and womens clothes and most of the stuff is wearable. They have a lot of great hats, bathing suits, shirts, etc-a lot of the stuff is vintage and some of it is new. I will be back soon.

This is where I found my favorite treasured faux leopard coat.  There were some problems with the lining, but they fixed them and I returned in a couple days and bought it.  Prices are a bit steep, but the service is worth it.

Animal House has an eclectic array of mid-range, heavily "local" flavors making up their retail side-- and a very reasonably priced selection of well-chosen, vintage pieces in spit spot shape on the floor, with some truly rare finds hanging up above.  I became a huge fan of labels that made their premiers at Animal House (in my Westside fashion treks, at least) like Made cotton, Serfontaine jeans and Tom's shoes to name a few.  They always have a sale rack that is packed with Ella Moss, Joe's jeans and other high end casual clothing lines reduced significantly.  And don't overlook their cool selection of sneakers and sandals... always in the back and easy to miss!
