I tried the burger and the Banh Mi, last night at the Downtown 2nd Saturdays event and OMFG! I have to say that your burger is..YumOLicious, juicy, seasoned perfectly and complimented with crisp fresh toppings (loved that you use butter lettuce)
BUT!!! Your Banh Mi (my first time having it) stayed on my mind ALL NIGHT LONG. It took every ounce of will power I had, to not return for more, and actually, I'm feeling a little crazy for not giving in.
As I walked around trying other fare, I tried to forget about those ridiculously delicious slices of pork belly, I tried to not dwell on the fresh thinly sliced cucumbers, jalapenos, carrots, cilantro, mayo, and sriracha sauce, but my taste buds wouldn't let me. I am hooked, I tell ya Animal Farm..simply hooked on that sandwich. Such a simple but crazy delicious sandwich. I can't wait to have it again so I WILL be stalking you on Facebook! -

Is this a great food truck burger? No. It's a fantastic burger by ANY standards, and that's why I'm giving this mobile establishment five hot, perfectly charred, juicy stars.
It seems there may be a myth that because the food is prepared on wheels, it should come out to you screaming on wheels. Yes, there's wait time, but it's no more than if you ordered at the counter of a take out restaurant. It seems the problem lies more in the lack of distractions present in a parking lot or a street corner than in slow service. Bring a Sudoku or trusted friend and don't worry about it.
I haven't had a burger this tasty, flavorful, succulent, juicy, tender, inspiring, etc. since who knows when. The brioche bun, the condiments, the lacy tease of butter lettuce, and a real, genuine, non-mealy tomato. This is a burger you eat for strength. This is a burger you eat for power. This burger might even help you conceive.
Bahn mi was bomb, but I prefer a crustier french roll than the softer (or at least softer on my visit) vehicle chauffeuring that delish pork belly. Minor complaint, ok? Otherwise, savory, crunchy, pickly deliciousness with just the right amount of spice.
Jalapeno cheddar cheese curds with cool, creamy dipping sauce are the reason I'm considering a cabbage diet right now.
I wanna ride around on the roof of this truck with a burger in one hand and a bullhorn in the other, screaming how good it is. -

Today my husband Aaron G and I decide to stop by Animal Farm for lunch. We ordered the Animal Burger and the Pork Belly Bahn. I saw fried cheese curds make from jalapeno cheddar and well, couldn't resist trying those as well. I was happy they were at Mercado San Agustin today because freeway access made it such an easy trip. I was also pleasantly surprised to see La Estrella Bakery was also in this area!
This is only my second time hitting up Animal Farm, but they have consistently hit the mark. I think you can tell by all the supportive reviews that this food truck is just amazing. The burger was cooked perfectly. I loved the many flavors the pork belly hoagie had to offer. The fried cheese curds... man.. a heart attack that is worth it. This place is just amazing. I LOVE it and can't wait to try more of their wonderful menu!!Listed in: Places I Love in Tucson

Another amazing food truck here in Tucson! Their burgers are perfect. Arguably the best burger in Tucson. Their pork belly bahn is stunning and refreshing for being such a fatty cut of meat. Finally, the cheese curds are decadent and rich, I love everything about this place.

Oh my wow! I wasn't quite in the mood for a burger but Animal Farm changed my tune. What's even better? They came to vend their deliciousness at our Tucson Roller Derby bout. -Definitely one of the best burgers ever-The Animal Farm Burger was top notch! An open range, grass fed, 1/3 pound-It had delicious garlic aioli, tomato, and a wonderful variety (just a bit) of Umami ketchup-(I said sans lettuce) served on a brioche bun- and it was cooked perfectly...so much so, that burger juice was running down my elbow-I'm not even kidding. Of all the places around...a food truck gets it right! -an added bonus-they obtain their ingredients here locally-to include local raised beef and local grown vegetables.Looking forward to trying more-but I don't know if I could pass up a burger-oh the humanity!

We tried the Animal Farm truck at the Food Truck Round-Up last Sunday night. We had the Cheese Curds, and they were delicious! I was also hearing good things about both the burger and the pork.
The reason, however, that I did not give them 5 stars was because of the food wait time. Obviously, they were swamped, so take this with a grain of salt if you will. In terms of wait time for a food truck, it was extremely slow. I'm not sure if it is because of the food they have decided to serve, or because of the massive amount of orders they were getting. However, I'm willing to give them another shot! The food, like I said, was delicious. -

Really good! They were at our bi-annual dog wash for Arizona Greyhound Rescue and I had their barnyard burger. It was delicious! Tender, juicy, flavorful beef on a perfect roll. If you see them or find out they are in your neighborhood you need to go try it. I know I will be following them now and would definitely be willing to drive to get me some.

Pretty tasty Lemongrass Porkbelly Banh Mi Vietnamese sandwich. At $7.25, It was one of the more costly items at the Tucson Food Truck Roundup. It would have been much better to have half of that to sample at $4. Since I was already full from my first 3 items from other venders, I could only finish half of my sandwich. My friend was full as well so it got tossed in the lovely trash...what a bummer.

Animal Farm keeps on delivering! Although I promised myself that I would try food trucks that I hadn't previously tried at today's Round Up, I couldn't help but drift over to Animal Farm. I had to try the fried cheese curds. They were excellent, mini bites of addictiveness. They had a touch of spice and were surprisingly not greasy. They were so tasty I couldn't stop eating them! Definitely another reason I will be frequent customer.

I love burgers, so I was pleasantly surprised to come across this great food truck. I've only had a couple of things on their menu, but their Animal Farm Burger was crazy good. The garlic aioli spread they slap on there really helps to make it stand out, and it was cooked to a perfect medium rare. I've never eaten a burger with cheese curds as a side dish, but they are definitely a worthy substitute. They've been advertising a new burger dubbed the krabby patty, and I'm eager to try it. Probably some of the best organic food you can find around Tucson, all rolled up into one food truck!

Animal Farm was at the top of my list to try at the Food Truck Round Up tonight. We got the burger and the banh mi. LOVED both - burger was really delicious. Their version of banh mi was awesome - I grew up with banh mi so I'm picky about "gourmet American" versions. The bread was pretty authentic, the slaw was fresh and not too pickled, and there was lots of sriracha. I haven't found real Vietnamese banh mi in Tucson yet but Animal Farm's version can definitely satisfy my cravings!

This place is great! I've only tried the cheese curds and the bahn mi, but both are delicious and satisfying. The prices are a little high for a food truck, but their food is also incredibly fresh so you do get what you pay for. It's great to go when they're parked at Barrio Brewing company downtown so you can enjoy the food with some great beer!

Animal Farm was on my radar since before they had a truck. I read their slogan: guerilla fine food, and I was already in love. The menu is quite small. But most every thing is local. Local grass fed beef, local cheese, local veggies. So, okay maybe you are over the ohmygod it's LOCAL scene. Well, I'm not. Because that grass fed beef is good, real good. A burger with juiciness and complex flavor that comes only from fresh, never frozen meat. There is also a scrumptious bahn mi, a sandwich surprisingly hard to find in Tucson despite our abundance of Vietnamese restaurants. This one features berkshire pork belly, thinly sliced cucumbers, jalapenos, carrots, cilantro, mayo, and sriracha sauce. And every thing is better with that addictive rooster sauce! There are also cheese curds. I am confused by this substance having grown up outside of the Great North. I heard cheese curds squeak when you bite into them. Uh, no thanks. They may be for you, just not for me. The prices are quite fair and waits are not too long (when they aren't at the Food Truck Round Up). Track them on their facebook page.

It is always surprising to me how a food truck can make such delicious food with limited resources. I mean, really! How can they cram such deliciousness into such limited space I'll never know! I love Animal Farm! There are only a few items on the menu, but they are incredible. The grass fed meats and local seasonal ingredients provided a fresh tastiness that just can't be beat. I can still remember the tasty flavors - and that was last night's meal! We had both the juicy grass fed burger and spicy pork belly Banh Mi sandwiches. Oh, my! Despite the paper plates the dishes had perfect presentation--better than you could get in a gourmet restaurant. The burgers were perfectly cooked and juicy. Even more incredibly flavorful was the pork belly Banh Mi sandwich. What a home run! The combination of the pork belly with jalapenos, cilantro, cucumbers, and carrots were just heavenly! Oh...so good! I was going to share with my husband, but I ate it all! I would have eaten more if I wasn't already stuffed! The wait wasn't too long last night, but this would have been food worth waiting for. It's been a day, and I'm already planning my next trip back to get more tasty treats from the Animal Farm food truck!
