I will never search for another vet because the staff at ACTRI are incredible.  I have a 15 year old german shepherd, Mickey, who is very difficult to deal with when it comes to vet appointments.  A few years ago, he was attacked by other dogs and barely made it.  Dr. Wood & Dr. Cohen saved his life...I am so grateful to have found such wonderful, caring doctors who treat your dog as if they were your own.   I've been to so many different vets the last decade, none of which come close to ACTRI's customer service, attention to detail, etc.  Heather, the front desk/doctor's assistant, is always so friendly and passionate about her job and truly loves animals, just like each and every person who works here.

I also have a 7-year sheltie who I will bring to ACTRI for the rest of his life.  I wouldn't trust anyone else.  For those looking for a vet, give them a chance.  You won't be disappointed....and I'm as picky as they come!   By the way, they're open Saturdays too!

This clinic is awesome! It was Roxy's first visit and she fell in love with the staff. Everyone is very helpful and answered all of my questions and concerns. If I was able to give them a 10 star I would.

There aren't enough stars available for this place!

My dog Buddy (his friends call him BK) and I swtiched to this vet after some horrible experiences with a nearby office.

Wow. What a difference a heart makes! Right away over the phone I could tell that these people cared. Making the appointment I was speaking to someone who was doing their job because they love it, not because they have to make money.

When I went in the next day, everyone was incredibly friendly. The wait was miniscule, and well worth it.

Dr. Putnam is an amazing man. His staff had great bedside manner, and was very gentle with my dog, attentive to his anxiety from other traumatic vet experiences. They explained everything to me, took the time to discuss my pet's issues, focused on what I was there for, and managed to keep me informed of other things to watch without bullying me into services. Dr. Putnam spent over an hour with us, and not just poking and prodding. He was a friend to Buddy, myself, and took a lot of time to discuss everyhting with us. His demeanor made us feel right at home.

I absolutely trust Dr. Putnam with my best firend's life. Hell, I'd go to Dr. Putnam for my own health if I could!

Now for the worst part... paying. The prices were..... fantastic! His service is very reasonably priced! I expected to pay much more than I did for what I recieved. Now, no vet is free, and medicine isn't cheap, but with Dr. Putnam, you get much more than what you pay for!

There is no bad side to this vet!

Took my mutt Jessie in yesterday for the first time  - what an awesome office! I spoke with Heather on the phone to setup our appointment and again when I arrived. She knew we were coming and greeted both of us by name when we walked in the door. I had filled out my paperwork online which saved hassle for both of us (hard to write on a clipboard with a leash in one hand) and she gave me a very thorough description of what Jessie needed (shots, her favorite) and what some options were for things like flea and heartworm protection. She was very low pressure and definitely had Jessie's health in mind, I didn't feel like I was just trying to be sold on services. Her care, attention to detail and professionalism are enough to make this our new regular vet.

I think the entire staff came out to meet Jessie and they were all incredibly nice. Unfortunately she's a little shy so she didn't want any of the treats they offered but it was a caring gesture to see them all making an effort like that. They work very quickly, a nice bonus for a working pet owner. The office is also not very big. My dog gets curious and a little anxious someplace like PetSmart where there are lots of dogs and cats around that she can hear and smell but not see. ACTRI is small and quiet so she was more relaxed.

Just took my kitty here for the first time, to get microchipped!  Because I did not stow her in a carrier, they immediately let us into a private room so
she could roam free while I fill out all the necessary paperwork.

The procedure itself only took about 15 minutes. I did some shopping next door at Rite Aid, came back, and *POOF* my microchipped cat was personally brought out to me by the technician - who was very sweet even though my scared kitty's claws was digging into her shoulder.

Make sure you ask about their special offers, they were able to waive $10 off my registration fees. total cost - only $55!

I think I have found my regular vet :)  hopefully future experiences will be just as pleasant.

I've brought my kitten, Milo Mittens, here from the time he was 6 weeks old to present day (he will be a year old this June). He's already been neutered and has had all his shots and check ups done here. They treat him so well and even took the sweetest, cutest picture of him post-surgery when he woke up. I bring him here every month to get his claws trimmed ($16 a visit) and the staff are always so friendly and they know all their patients!

Your furry baby will be in the best care here.

ACTRI has been such a huge help since we've added a few more dogs to our family...and I'm sure it's because we're keeping them in business. As a customer I feel like family when I go there. I can call and ask questions and they never place me on hold for very long. The staff are more than friendly and extremely knowledgeable (as they should be).

They're very flexible about time. I took my cocker spaniel Hallie in for a heartworm test and they were about to send me out the door once the appointment was over, but I forgot to ask them a question about a rash she had. It was last minute, but they examined her again (thoroughly) and explained how to treat it.

On that note, their hours are great, though I can't really compare them to other clinic's hours. They open early on weekdays and close at 6 on weeknights, so it is really easy to come in before or after work. They're also open for a while on Saturdays and can pretty easily see your pet if he or she has a semi-emergency. It's expensive to come to ACTRI, but I know that our pets are in very good hands there.

Staff is always very professional and helpful. Competent veterinarians. They treat our pets as if they are their own and I always leave feeling my pets got the best care possible. Been to many-a-vets and this one puts all of them to shame!

I just moved into the area and was looking for a new vet, but wasn't forced to pick one until my little doggy decided she was going to stop eating for no apparent reason.  I went to see Dr. Steiner and was so pleased with her attentiveness and bedside manner.  I also liked the fact that she seemed extremely proactive and recommended a great deal of preventative measures without having me ask.  This saves money in the end, and helps things from going wrong with my doggy.  I was really happy with her and I'm sure anybody who vists her with their pet would be the same!

If I could give this place more stars I would. I have a very nervous dog and he does so well at this place. I usually only bring him in for his yearly shots but everytime I do, I never have to worry about technicians poking and prodding him as they handle him with the upmost care. Also, their prices for their services are SO fair and a great deal.

I've been taking my pets here since 1997.  The doctors are always loving, thorough and careful when examining my babies.  The staff is always friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and so loving to the animals. They know my two very well.  The girls  have been there many years with little turn over of employees over the years (that means a lot to me).

Their prices seem a little high sometimes, but they are worth it when your pups are happy and healthy.

Thru the years you get to bond with them and when I go there I feel like we are going to see a good friend.

For a 'smallish' animal clinic, it's full of very big hearts!  They take excellent care of our 'poody-tat' as well as the crazy feral cat we've adopted (Mr. McNo-Nutt).  Always cheerful, always supportive, always compassionate.  We can't thank each of them enough for always being there when we need them.   My only complaint - the parking sucks...just remember that if you're bringing a sick pet or are in the middle of an emergency - you may need a wing man to park the car.
