A big taste in a little town.
I went to visit a friend in Corning and she told us about a Pizza place, I'm never too keen on having Pizza for Dinner, but after Aniello's I think that's about to change.
We had a variety of the slices of Pizza, Calzone, and Garlic Knots. It was amazing. It tasted fresh, and it came with a delicious sauce on the side.
The prices where cheap, and they had free Coffee and Hot Chocolate the day we were there.
This Pizzeria has found a place in My TOP 5 list of Pizza joints. -

Use to go here after our swim meets in Corning, it was something to look forward to. Good, quick basic pizza pizza.

When in town on business I will try to get a hot ham and cheese sub here, but...............only if I can get here before noon. The subs are made to order and take some time because you can't rush perfection right?
The problem is on a nice day the lunch crowd here is fierce and the wait can eat up your available time very easily. If you can get here before noon or very close to it there is never an issue and you can enjoy the hot fresh baked bread of your sub while people watching...ie: watching those other folks stand on line.

Long wait time. Unfriendly staff.
All 3 stars go to the pizza which was delicious. This one may be a good place for take out but not for dining in. -

My kids and I were in town to visit the Corning Glass Museum, and took the museum trolley to the Western Art museum stop. We walked about one block to this awesome stop for lunch. You order at the counter then they bring it to you at your seat. You can order just a slice, or a whole pie (which are ginormous!). This is the "traditional" NY style pizza with the thin crust and large slices. They also have subs, calzones, salads, and from Nov thru May they have soups too. You get your own drink from the soda fountain, and I liked the fact that they had BOTH a pepsi selection AND a coke selection too. As an avid Coke fan I hate having to substitute Pepsi.
We got three slices of pepperoni pizza, a cheesesteak sub and three drinks for $18.
Took about five minutes and we were eating. And just for the record food is served on paper plates, although they did have regular stainless flatware if you needed it.
Pizza was thin, crispy, a little greasy and a whole lot of AWESOME! Cheesesteak got a big thumbs up from my son too. Would definitely come here again. Loved it! -

This place has great pizza! I often go there whenever I want to eat slices of pizza. Good place to get a quick bite.

I don't know how anyone could eat here and not like it... Maybe you came on an off day?? or your taste buds are broken??? - Most likely the latter of the two...
Anyway, I lived in the area while growing up, and during the winter we would go iceskating after school and then to Aniellos for dinner and that place has good memories for me!! While I am sure all the pizza is good, the only kind I ever order is the Chickenwing pizza, and a side of ranch for dipping... I have had pizza all over the world and this always ranks up there in my top 5 best pizza places... -

Our daughter lives in Corning and when coming to visit it is now tradition to eat our first meal there when we get in from the U.P. Of Mi.
Our favorite thin crust pizza, and last night we lost our sausage roll virginity, and gonna have to order one each time we're there.
I consider muself a foody (snob actually) and this place gets a 9 of 10 from me......nobody's perfect. I've eaten supposedly the best in NYC and this leaves it in the dust. Thanks,
Happy Yoopers !!! -

Hats off and heads up at Aniellos because they toss their dough like every decent pizzeria should. They earn their 5 stars with a great selection and great atmosphere. One of the best pizzas, calzones, subs, I've ever eaten--they can be on the oily side (but it's not unhealthy grease).
An interesting throw back is buying your soda out of a vending machine...just goofy, but still a pleasant quirk.
Great for lunch and dinner. Busy at both times. I wish Aniellos was my neighborhood pizzeria. -

Hands down the best pizza I have ever had. The plain cheese is always what I get but it is all good. Fold your slices like a good New Yorker and watch the grease drip. Delicious. I have been coming here for decades but just realized this week on my return visit that if you close your eyes the cheese pizza also smells like really good mac and cheese! Lol!!!! The calzones are delicious and always chock full. Not too expensive, a large pizza and the antipasto salad was only $19 bucks! They dont display all the beers they have, ask for the Blue and it will magically appear like a Angel from Heaven. The antipasto salad is simple and flavorful just the way it should be....sigh....till we meet again Aniello's!!

I'm new to the area and read the reviews on Yelp. Unfortunately, I cannot see what all the excitement is about. The crust is thin and well baked but rubbery. The toppings are average and minimal. My friend commented, "how can a pizza not have flavor." It is indeed greasy...most good pizzas are...but, this one just did not make the grade for all-time great pizzas.

Aniello's has been around forever so I'm sure this review isn't going to be popular, but I'm just not a huge fan of this place. It's difficult to order, the pizza crust is tough, and orange grease drips off when you start eating a slice. In all honesty the hot subs are better than the pizza. Everyone in Corning seems to go crazy for this place, they love it, I think it's for lack of better pizza though.

what are you talking about, lola??
while greasy, aniello's pizza is the best i've ever had. a staple to enjoy while in town. friendly staff, good subs (but really? the pizza is so good, why would you get a sub?) and crisp cheap beers to enjoy with your pizza. -

The cornerstone of Aniello's is their dough. They have probably the best NY style pizza outside of the city. Their chicken wing sub is the best on their menu. My one gripe is their service is at times extremely slow. If you go during a rush (noon; 5pm) you'll be waiting a while. If you are picking up, make sure you phone ahead.

This place is a corning landmark. All the locals love it.... all the locals are insane. This place is horrible. After several attempts I am giving up. Nothing is good here. I keep trying, but its just bad. Go to atlas down the street if you want pizza in corning. Trust me and thank me later.

This place has pizza the way new york pizza should taste. Fresh dough and crusted bottom and soft top. They also make their own rolls and they are fresh everyday and are DELICIOUS.. You have to stop by here if you ever roll through corning..

Pretty fab pizza, and great atmosphere too. Such an authentic-feeling throwback local favorite, with friendly staff who don't make you feel like an awkward outsider if it's your first visit. The slices are simple thin-crust, cheesy affairs, but exactly what I was craving so I was quite happy with the lack of fancy frill. Plus, you can add toppings for just $0.25 each, including usually pricey items like artichoke hearts (my one concession to fancy frill). At $1.90 each, the slices are probably actually better value than ordering an entire pizza for $12/$16+. One slice was pretty satisfying, two would be completely filling, unless you're really hungry. There was a rather reasonably priced hot sandwich menu, too, but I suspect most people come for the pizza.

I started eating at this place after baseball games when I was a kid living in Corning. It was my favorite pizza then and remains so now. Every time I travel back to Corning, I make sure to stop at least once (and usually more) so that I can get my fix. I usually just get plain cheese pizza, because the sauce and the cheese are so delicious. The restaurant has a great casual atmosphere on historic Market Street. If you are anywhere in the area, it is a must try!

We just moved to the area from Rochester and this pizza was decent. It seems to be a local favorite, but mostly due to nostalgia. I've definitely had better, but would probably go there again.

It's pretty good thin crust pizza for a reasonable price. I come here regularly.
