I am absolutely obsessed with Angora! They have a wide variety of food (including breakfast) and everything is delicious and decently healthy! Their wraps are amazing and huge! I always take almost half of it home to finish later. Their flatbread pizzas are really great too and they offer the calories on the menu.

Angora is well-known for the amazing fro-yo. You start with either vanilla or chocolate fro-yo and then add a variety of toppings. They blend everything together and make it into a soft-serve style that you won't find anywhere else. It's definitely worth going just for the fro-yo! Even in the snow, I can't stay away from it.

The staff is always friendly and helpful. If the couches are available, sit there! They are extremely comfortable and perfect for big groups.

I'm a big fan of their Steak & Arugula flatbread pizza here. It's the perfect size for one person...delicious and crispy.

My favorite panini here is the Californian....the avocado makes this sandwich! I wouldn't recommend getting their paninis to go or for delivery because the bread tends to get soggy pretty fast.

Their frozen yogurt and smoothies are okay.

3 stars because their delivery usually takes a while and the pizza comes cold half the time. I wish I could always stop in for a fresh baked pizza and sandwiches but I don't live around the area anymore so it's hard. There are some find pretty good discounts and deals on foodler for delivery from Angora though!

Their flat bread pizzas used to be better but it's now disappointing.  Stick with the froyo.

I hate rating places with a one star, but Angora Cafe gave me the most disgusting pizza I've ever had in my life.  I didn't feel like cooking, so I thought it would be nice to order a pizza.  I had never tried place before, but it was cheap and I didn't want to spend a lot of money.  I ordered the meat lovers pizza, and it came about an hour or so later.

The pizza came somewhat warm, and I could tell by the texture that it had been sitting around for a while. (ie. soggy)   The crust...  uhg...  gross.  Have you ever made bread (think about the first time you made it) and didn't realize that you needed to add some sort of seasoning in, and your proportions were all off?  Yeah... nasty.

The toppings were foul, and this is before I even tasted them.  It was almost as if they cooked some of the meat separately, just so when they put it all in the oven, some of it could burn, while the rest went undercooked.

The taste was no better.  Have you ever been eating a piece of meat, when suddenly out of nowhere, you get this pocket of gamy, tendon filled cartilage?  Now imagine when this was no longer a surprise, but an expected texture of each bite.  I didn't even finish a slice.

I would say avoid this place all together, but if you must go, just don't get the meat loverss.

Angora is great! I love their ice cream concept. Instead of having toppings they actually blend the extras into the ice cream. For example: So instead of having strawberries/cookie dough on top of your ice cream they put the strawberries/cookie dough into a machine to make strawberry/cookie dough ice cream. It's pretty weird to explain but it's really cool and tastes amazing. I definitely recommend going for a quick bite with friends.

I've only gotten a sandwich here once, but it tasted great.

The only reason I can give this place three stars is because of the smoothies. Those are the most refreshing, delicious smoothies around.

Everything else deserves a two. I had delivery today, and they didn't give me straws to go with the smoothies I ordered. You can tell the food isn't fresh by the taste. The chicken they use is always dry.

The place is cute and the fro-yo is decent, but don't go there looking for a delicious meal.

If you're looking for food, this isn't the place to go. Sure, they have some food items, but it's like going to Red Lobster for a steak. JUST ORDER THE FROYO. Yep, not only should you order the frozen yogurt, but you should satisfy those late-night cravings (yes, they even deliver late) with some delicious concoction of sweet cream, peanut butter, marshmallow, etc.

It may seem a little pricey, but definitely well worth it. HUGE selection of toppings and combinations--be bold!

I think I've been coming here for atleast 2 years now.  It was at one point my go to whenever I need a filling healthy meal.  I love their roll ups.  My personal favorites include the falafel roll-up and roasted vegetable roll-up w/ hummus.  How can I forget their pizzas!  I love them and highly recommend them.
The flip side?  Their credit card minimum of something like $7 is really inconvenient and I do believe they are a bit pricey for the kind of fare they offer.  I think I spent a good $8 or $9 for a pretty standard salad once that I could have gotten else were for a better price.

Oh Angora I sing praise to you! Free WIFI, nice variety of froyo, belly-friendly flatbread, what else can one ask for? The staff is friendly and they are open till quite late in the summer (considering how early every place with WIFI closes during the summer months).

Try their artichoke & roasted garlic flatbread, seriously. It's so good.

Sadly Mixx was closed because of a recent fire so we ventured to Angora.

Start with a vanilla or chocolate froyo base then your choice if topping and have it "blended" in.  It reminds me of a Blizzard but not as good.  Having my heart set on Mixx there was no comparison and it was expense.

My daughter really wanted to have the strawberries put on top so having them all "blended" into the choc peanut butter didn't look appealing and the taste was so so.

I shared a plain vanilla and again was not impressed.  I am really surprised at all of the have high ratings for this Froyo!

I've only had the frozen yogurt here, and it's amazing.  You can get any combination, it's mixed in on the spot in a huge, weird-looking machine.

They have a huge menu, I just wish they has more seating.  Also, you have to go behind the counter to go to the bathroom, which is a little weird.

    Delivery: not worth it.

    60 minutes during non-peak hours.

"Lame" chicken parmesian sandwich (shaped and sized like a grilled cheese, but the "lame" part was my boyfriend's epithet).

"Okay" smoothie. Kind of tasted too much like malt, too little like strawberry.

    Mehhhhhhhhhhhhh indeed. I won't repeat.

I used to love this place because they have soy frozen yogurt, which is pretty much the best invention ever. However, they're currently out of it and don't foresee buying any because winter is coming. HELLO? Apparently vegans and the lactose intolerant don't eat ice cream in winter? News to me!

Yes the froyo here is awesome.  It is so awesome that it seems like you are eating premium ice cream.  You can also choose a bunch of toppings that they will blend in for you, the closest thing that comes to mind is when getting ice cream from Coldstone Creamery.  Cookie dough and brownie with the plain frozen yogurt is the way to go for a nice dessert treat.
A group of people by us were also chowing down on some flatbread pizza that looked pretty good.

II remember this place being a lot better than it was when I visited recently.

I got a flatbread pizza - it was pretty soggy, and sparse with toppings. For $6+ dollars, I was unsatisfied.

The frozen yogurt is still pretty good but I prefer Mixx down the street.

Artichoke & Roasted Garlic Flatbread Pizza, Bananarama Smoothie, and Froyo!!! Such a good meal.

The pizza was scrumptious and was so cheap considering the size. The Bananarama smoothie was pretty bomb too. It had bananas, oatmeal, froyo, and milk... so refreshing in hot weather. Pretty filling on its own. You can add fiber boosts and protein boosts and whatnot as well. And of course, the froyo was delicious as ever. Try banana-nutella. It's awesomeeeeee. I wish I ordered food/smoothies from this place earlier because it's pretty good :)

I live right down the street and have never been.  One of my friends suggested the flatbread pizza and it was to die for.  I ate half of it on the walk home because it smelled so good that I couldn't resist.

I mirror Jarrett E. completely. I ordered a pizza, and it was so undercooked that it fell apart upon picking it up.  The crust was, at best, half cooked. I was crunchy then just soft, raw dough.  It made me feel pretty ill for the next few hours.  Never again angora cafe, never again.  And I had such high hopes for you

The food is fantastic, but you'll find so many places in the city that will get the same to you just as quick. What guidelines the scale in their favor? The amazing frozen yogurt. I usualy call them and ask them to deliver two frozen yogurts and they happily drive over.

I initially went in to try their famous froyo and loved it! The combinations are endless and always delicious! I've also ordered delivery through Foodler and have always been happy with the outcome. The estimated time usually does say about an hour, but they've delivered early every time.

Their flatbread pizzas are so fresh and delicious and are a perfect meal on a humid day when you don't want to eat something heavy. I also love their paninis. All of the ingredients are fresh and the portions are huge- you get a lot for your money.

Admittedly, I've never tried any of the actual meal-intended food here. That may sound like a stupid way to open a review, and that's because it is. Regardless of that, I've been to Angora several times for the fro-yo.

The fro-yo. It is incredible. The substance itself is delicious, sure, but what is truly impressive to me, is that they seemingly will mix in anything you can imagine. It's just so much fun!

I love love love love this place.  I think what most people go to Angora for is their frozen yogurt or their smoothies.  What I love most about this place is that it's a change of pace. It's a nice little cafe amongst larger restaurants in the area. Unlike those larger restaurants, Angora also caters to those who try to eat on the healthy side but are sick of just eating plain pre-made salads.

I go to Angora for their FLAT.BREAD.PIZZAS. Yes friends, flat bread pizzas. Amazing. Low in calorie, high in protein. I almost always get the Steak, Arugula and Feta Cheese flat bread and I am in heaven.
I don't think their calorie listings are quite right but I like that they have the listings up there for a lot of their wraps and flat breads so you get an idea of what you're eating.

I'm am also a huge fan of their roll-ups.  I suggest the Turkey, Swiss and Avocado or the Falafel and Hummus roll-up which you can add chicken to for an extra $1.90 (which i do!)

They have a create-your-own salad and like the yogurt and smoothies, they display all the fresh ingredient options so you can see exactly what you're putting in there.

Everything I've had in their bakery selections are delicious. Fudge stuffed chocolate chip cookies? Yes please. I also just had a cinnamon chip scone for the first time a few weeks ago and it went fabulously with my orange cappuccino.

There is a down side to Angora, however - If you're looking for a regular slice of pizza expect something mediocre. I found most things pre-made here are fairly mediocre, if not a lesser quality. This is disappointing given everything else I love about this place.

All in all, I love coming here for a relaxing lunch away from work. There is a surprisingly low number of loud and obnoxious BU students who stick around in Angora. Most just come in and out for froyo. Those who do end up sticking around are usually their set up with a laptop in order to get work done in the same relaxing environment I love being there for as well.
I plop on the couch with my cappuccino and do school work or read my nook and just enjoy me time.

Fresh food + relaxing break from work = Yay!

This place is a nice, quick cafe. They have high quality ingredients, on the healthier side of things and at decent prices. I personally love their BBQ chicken flat bread pizza, which is less than 400 calories I think. They also have good coffee and frozen yogurt with a lot of mix-ins.

I also like the atmosphere there, very casual. You can hang out and chill or get the food to go. The downside is not everything is good on the menu, but there are plenty of options, so keep trying things until you find what you like.

I wish I worked right by Angora so I could eat it every day for lunch. They have a lunch specials card where your 6th lunch is free. I feel I could probably accomplish this about twice a month if I worked nearby. Alas, that is not the case.

Angora has so many different options, it's hard to choose just one thing to eat! They have a bunch of different paninis. I love the Milano; which is eggplant, roasted green peppers, provalone cheese and a pesto spread, and my friend orders the Tuscany; ham, mozzarella, tomatoes, and spinach. They also have flatbread pizzas, which I'm dying to try.

Another reason Angora should be on your radar? Their frozen yogurt. They have Chocolate, Vanilla, Sugar Free, and Non-Dairy bases, and about 40 mix ins. The mix-ins are a blend (heehee) of ones you'd expect, such as chocolate chips, candy, and fruit, but also have granola, Snackwell's cookies, pumpkin, and a host of other intriguing ingredients.

The service is a little slow, but you know they are making your food fresh.

There is only one reason why I am giving Angora two stars instead of one: the smoothies.

The smoothies here are among the best in town and they aren't even fresh! (That's right folks. The smoothies are delicious despite everything in them being deeply frozen.) Mango in the Morning, Take 2 to Mango, and Chai Baby are among my favorites. Peanut Cracker is also rather high on the list.

Everything else here is palatable, but done better elsewhere... and that elsewhere is often any number of the establishments on that same block. I tried the sandwiches: the Tuscany is made with thick, lunch-meat ham and I ended up throwing it out; the Polo was nothing special; and the Roma was passable (it's hard to screw up a mozzarella and tomato panini).

I tried the frozen yogurt. I am not dead. I found it to be about one step above McDonald's frozen treats. It definitely didn't make my list of memorable occurrences.

Wanting to give Angora yet another chance, I came back one weekend morning for their famed brunch. The quiche of the day was taking a day off, I suppose, so I tried a spinach and feta breakfast sandwich. Again, like everything else here, it was ok, but not great.

I even had a tomato and fresh mozzarella salad one day. The most absurd part about the salad wasn't even how terrible it tasted. If your mozzarella isn't fresh, why bother including "fresh" in the title? That's just unnecessary. Mesclun had definitely been hanging out in a refrigerator for a while, and I have never had such bland pesto in my life. (At least they weren't marked as fresh.) Though I must admit I did enjoy picking off the tomatoes.

People watching: Unless you need to see BU students roll in at all hours of the day wearing assorted pajamas, I would keep walking.

All in all, I truly wanted to love Angora, but the food is closer to cafeteria quality than cafe quality. It also doesn't help that the guy who usually works on weekdays wakes up extra early to dish out attitude alongside the bad food. The smart kids seem to walk out of this establishment with pizza boxes. Maybe that's where I went wrong...

Man I love the fro-yo with mix-ins they do here. And (yeah, I'll say it) I've been into it since the late 90s. That's right, before people even said "fro-yo"! My favorite is, was, and always will be blueberry and granola. The granola is crunchy, the berries go a long way and it's frickin purple.
Like Dorise said, the candy bars and nuts don't translate right, and I'll add that I don't think chocolate is very good in these either. There's never enough chocolatey taste! I tried banana and nutella once and was very disappointed. If they tripled the amount of nutella in it, maybe it would work. Then again, maybe I should just slice up a banana and spread nutella on the discs.
Anyway, the folks who work here are super nice and work like animals on that contraption that mixes in the flavors. They only have one thing to swipe cards, so save yourself the trouble and pay cash.

The frozen yogurt is THE reason to come here.  I went to college at BU and used to get yogurt all the time.  I've since left Boston but come up several times per year to see my husband's family.  No trip to Boston is complete without a stop at Angora. (Note, the outpost in Kenmore Sq is not as good - I'm not sure why...).

There's a huge board with an array of 'mix-ins' and you order whatever combos you'd like.  The most difficult part is deciding what to choose.  It really is amazing.  Over the years I've introduced many a person to the deliciousness.

I haven't eaten food from Angora since the late 90s so I can't comment on it.  But with thousands of possible yogurt choices, who needs other food??

I was looking for a reasonably healthy meal and thought I'd give this place a try.

I ordered a "flat-bread pizza" and a build-your-own salad for delivery. An hour later I received my cold food.

The "flat-bread pizza" is a tortilla-thin piece of flat-bread that had two slices of deli meat's worth of turkey on top, a few leaves of spinach, swiss cheese here and there, and some tomato sauce and maybe five pieces of chopped tomato. It was cold and tasted disgusting and I couldn't believe how little food they give for the price.

The build-your-own salad was also cold, which is a good thing, but it appeared to have spent some time hot, because the cheese was melted and the lettuce was wilted. Most places give you a whole pita with a salad, but this place just provided three pita strips. I threw away most of this thing.

Sadly, I will definitely not order from this restaurant again.

Me and my boyfriend went there for a lunch before going into the city, and he said he really liked this place - which seems to be true because everyone else does.. But I guess they had an off day.
We asked for a chicken-sandwich with may, lettuce and tomato, also a 'Tropical smoothie' but instead we got chicken roll-ups, with added carrots, and a horrible honey thing inside.
(Not good if you have allergies as they don't take notice too much)

It was the man doing the service when we asked for it - and don't get me wrong, the roll-up was nice but I really dislike mustard, so that was a downfall for me.
My partner says that the smoothie was amazing, he asked for it without coconut, and he did really enjoy it. I don't like smoothies, so I can't comment on that part.

Overall, I don't think I will be going back there. The man who served us was rude, and didn't take notice of us, and tapped all the information in wrong, although he asked us everything twice anyway!
I'll definitely keep on walking rather than go into this place.

    I love this place.

The mocha monkey smoothy is a great hangover solution.  The wraps and breakfast panini are wonderful (although they could be a little more generous with the home fries).  The fro-yo is as good as it gets, everything is generally healthy (they include calorie counts on most foods), and vegetarian/vegan friendly.  The pizza by the slice and quiche by the slice (that's right, quiche by the slice) are never old and always satisfy.

I should probably give them 4-stars since the prices are a little high, but I don't want to be a hypocrite.  Lived in the neighborhood for six years and probably eat here one to three times a week.

Crowd can be a little sorority heavy at times, and the place gets crowded in the busy BU months of September and April.  During the summer it is a free wi-fi and tasty bite oasis.  Inside and outside seating, couches, tables, good indie music or world cup soccer matches.

Every neighborhood should be lucky enough to have a place this pleasant.

I am fairly certain that if I didn't live across the street from Angora during my college days that I would have starved to death. On the other hand, I am fairly certain that if I didn't live across the street from Angora, my booty wouldn't be quite as bodacious as it is now.

I successfully survived on grilled chicken wraps and carrot cake froyo for 2 and a half years straight. The wraps are big enough for two meals-they use a pita bread that's so thick it can double as a sweater in the winter time. Try it next time it's -40 degrees outside with the wind chill!

Stay away from the pizza-it's atrocious. Seriously, the worst pizza I've ever had in my entire life. They really need to work on that-it's got the texture of wet cardboard and the sauce is completely flavorless. I'm not even sure if they use real cheese. Also, stay away from the coffee froyo-if memory serves correct, they use instant coffee in there and it just tastes bitter and YUCK!

Also, the fact that they close earlyish is annoying-sometimes I like to eat froyo at midnight. What's wrong with that?

Overall, Angora is a solid choice in the BU area and perfect for rolling out of bed on Sunday to grab coffee, a sandwich, and a froyo as your hangover helper.

Me and Trish needed sustenance before the Sara Bareilles (EEK) concert.  Enter: Angora Cafe.  I had previously been here before for assorted coffee and ice cream treats.  But I had never had any of their food before.  A quick perusing of the menu and we decided on the same BBQ Chicken Flat Bread Pizza.  So we ordered....

    AWKWARD STORY TIME:
Me to guy at counter: Hi, can I have a BBQ Flat Bread Pizza
Guy:  ::deer in headlights look:: Wha? What's a flat bread pizza?
Me and Trish: ::look at each other::....Um, pizza...?

It was like that.  The girl at the register next to him looked embarrassed for him and I think quietly explained that it was indeed on the menu.

So along with our pizza I ordered an Oreo Cookie Smoothie.  We waited on the couch for our food to be ready, and sipped on our smoothies.  I was disappointed in mine.  Even though there was indeed evidence of Oreo in my smoothie, the cookies were so pulverized that I could barely taste any of it.  There was, however, plenty of banana, which was ok.   The smoothie was way too liquidy though.

We ate our pizzas outside, since it was so nice out.  The pizza was good, although way thinner than I had anticipated.  The sign outside had a picture of one of their pizzas, and the crust looked a lot thicker.  But the pizza was still tasty.  I could have used more BBQ sauce on the pizza, and I wish the chicken had some BBQ sauce on it, but I'll deal.  Also, there was supposedly feta on my pizza, but it was either melted beyond recognition, or they forgot it.  However, it was still mighty tasty. Next time I come, I really want to try their panini's.

Angora's pretty mediocre but needs a shout-out for its commitment to providing this part of Comm Ave with some non-chain, non-Asian food that is actually pretty healthy.

    HOLLA !

The Super 88 foodcourt easily beats it for sandwiches (Banh Mi) and Fro-Yo (the lower fat kind), but nowhere else round here can boast a better service for salads and for what I had...

    SPINACH PIE

Which was yum. End of my story.

I'd bump up the stars if they switched to the new trendier Fro-yo, ditched the bad pizza, started offering more savory pies and offered in-house-made fruit and tea drinks.

    IM Angora, IM in Love!
I'm new to Yelp and was just checking out my favorite restaurants when I came across Chrissy F's review for Angora below.   Calling in to place an order only to find upon delivery that something has been forgotten or mixed up is probably my biggest pet peeve.

So I was thrilled to learn that Angora Cafe now allows you to place your order over AOL Instant Messenger!  I love the idea and am surprised only a few restaurants are doing it.

IM Angora   is their screenname- more Boston restaurant screennames at http://www.imdining.com   They send you a confirm with time for delivery and you can chat with the restaurant after you place your order to make sure it  will be correct.  Give it a try!

I seriously love Angora.  Free wi-fi being the first reason - nobody has ever told me that five hours is too long to drink a smoothie or two, for one thing.

Their pizza is completely awesome - for $6, I was expecting rabbit food, and got a pizza that satisfied two people (one of them being a boy!).  The mango smoothie is TO DIE FOR.

Service is eh, and the bathroom is in the kitchen, but since nobody ever bothers me for scarfing down bandwidth, I won't hold it against them.

I went to BU but always lived closer to Kenmore, so I rarely ate at Angora Cafe. But now that I live up near Harvard Ave. and go to Healthworks, Angora taunts me every freaking day with it low-carb flatbread pizzas. Normally, I wouldn't give two hoots about carbs, but after experiencing heart palpitations during step aerobics, I figure I shouldn't completely undo my calorie burning and get something healthy.

I got the Artichoke and Roasted Garlic flatbread (and shot a few leering glances at the Fro-Yo menu).  The great thing about Angora is that they display the nutritional info. I still got the one with the most calories. I continue to confuse myself.  (As I waited, a couple got their BBQ Chicken Pizza and it looked delicious, so I started to salivate. And that salivation mixed in with the sweat on my face. And that's oversharing.)

The flatbread was like a cracker: thin, crispy and flaky. I personally get pizza more for the toppings than the crust, so this was fine.  The thing was loaded with artichoke and I'd vote for less of it. But everything else about would totally make me get it again.  The Feta Portabella also looks delicious.

Another good thing about this place is you can order online to avoid wait time and, in turn, sweating and salivating in the place.

    HOLY HEAVEN!

It's not always on the menu, but order a GONDOLA PIZZA. They are the most delicious little (big actually) morsels of pizza you've ever eaten. It's basically a pizza in the shape of a Gondola, but its really, really good.

I liked getting delivery from there because they'd always toss you a banana or something healthy to go with your meal, even if your meal was a 50lb Gondola Pizza :D

Angora's is a nice place to stop in for a snack or dinner.  They serve delicious flatbread pizzas with a (reasonably) low number of calories.  Hot tip: Occasionally, the publish a coupon for "Buy one flatbread, get one free".  They also have frozen yogurt available with a number of toppings.  The yogurt is pretty good although I prefer BerryLine.

It doesn't strike me as a good place to lounge around with friends, or to bury yourself in a book.  The atmosphere is somewhat awkward.

Your best bet: Get the two for one coupon, and then take the two pizzas back to your apartment or dorm.

Step 1:  Roll a giant blunt
    Step 2:  Smoke dat ting
Step 3:  Call Angora for them to deliver to you an Orange Crush smoothie. Step 4:  Drink that thing and chill hard.
Step 5:  Watch an Errol Morris documentary and ponder why the world is falling apart at the seams.
Step 6:  Still enjoy the smoothie.

It's too ill.  The smoothies are delicious, the yogurt is pretty ill (just get mad fruits in it, you'll love that).  The other stuff is whatevs but you can't go wrong with the yogurt or the smoothies kid.
