Huge selection of tackle/lures/equipment, tons of life bait, great service with useful answers to questions and strategies that work. A lot of young guys work here that actually know what they're talking about because they actively fish each day. Close to El Capitan so if you forger something on your way to the Lake swing by here and grab some tackle and get a Slurpee at 7-11 next door.

Anglers Edge carries a solid selection of freshwater tackle.Although more exspensive than your local Wal-Mart,they will have the specialized items that you cant typically find in the large discount chain stores.
Besides tackle, Anglers Edge can handle any licensing needs,spool reels with new line,and take special orders on fishing related items not found in the store.I believe they also perform reel maintenance and repair on the premises.They also carry live and frozen bait including:shiners,crawdads,nightcrawlers,and mackeral.
They used to have one side of the shop dedicated strictly to saltwater tackle but have done away with this section of the store in order to save on the rent.I was informed by the store employees however that they are still stocking and carrying saltwater gear.
The staff at Anglers Edge are cool,laid back,friendly,and knowledgable.They are always willing to answer questions,offer advice and they open for business at 5am! Next time you are heading out to East County and beyond to fish,drop by and see these folks for any last minute bait or tackle needs!
