Definitely one of the few places to get Great food that isn't from a chain around here...I'm glad Yelp helped me find it!
The bread is freshly made and delicious! While the meatball didn't have enough sauce for me, it was still good, but can't beat out the breaded Eggplant Parm! - That sandwich is Divine!
I mean, how can you not love that the family working here speaks Italian to each other?! :o) -

There aren't too many things about my hometown that excite me. In fact, if my parents didn't still live there, I'd really hardly have anything to even care about there. Caruso's Deli is one of the few reasons I don't mind that they still live there because this means I can usually talk them into buying some Caruso's for lunch for me if I visit.
For many, many years now, we have been ordering sandwiches from this hidden deli. And, to this day, I have yet to find a place to get sandwiches that wows me as much as Caruso's.
My favorite is the turkey with provolone, but I've also tried the Caruso, Caprese, and meatball sandwiches, and none of them have disappointed. The bread they use is fresh and crusty on the outside, soft on the inside. The meat and cheese is sliced on the spot and very flavorful.
I'm not really sure how else to describe the sandwiches; all I can say is that I've yet to find a place elsewhere that serves up something comparable. These are easily my favorite sandwiches, and even my picky husband thoroughly enjoys these sandwiches.
It is true what the three-star reviewer stated...the service here is less-than-warm. But honestly, I'm completely willing to look over it because the sandwiches reign supreme. -

My friend and I found this place a few years ago and have been going religiously ever since. Its not in the greatest of neighborhoods and a little hard to locate.. but it also makes it so the place is never jam packed, so quick service. Its family run, so they always remember you :)
Try this: peppered turkey w/ soprasata sandwich, add artichoke hearts.. SO GOOD!!!! They just recently added a pretty covered patio for outdoor dining too! -

My new favorite lunch spot. The main sit down part is closed for lunch but the wine bar and deli are open and you can sit on the lovely patio, very relaxing. You see a lot of guys and firemen getting sandwiches to go, which i see as a good sign. Me I love relaxing on their patio. They make their own bread, sandwiches are fresh and large, good meat. The pizzas and salads have been great. The service and staff are friendly and helpful, they bring your food out if they are not too busy. Get a glass of wine and the Prosciutto e Funghi pizza and you will feel transported. Have not tried dinner but look forward to it. They have a lovely array of pastries that look great but have not tried yet.

This place is really good simply for the fact that the sandwiches are great. The bread is fresh and unique and tasty. The meats they use are also very high quality and good.

Great Authentic Italian Food. Mom & Pop family owned place. The best Egg Plant Parmesan I've ever had. Vegetable Lasagna is great, my husbands favorite. Food portions are huge and good price for quality of food. Ambiance is a bit bright and coffee shop / pizzeria esque. The owners are very sweet and service is friendly.
My only complaint is the dinner salad although a large portion is made with iceberg lettuce. Romaine would be a better option.
They offer take out.
Love it!
