Angel's is a short trip down Memory Lane -- or at least Main Street. For the strong of stomach, and not too feint of heart, the buckwheat pancakes are a must-try. (Ask for them, if you don't see them on the menu.) You are, after all, in the buckwheat capital of the world. The enormous pancake griddle stretching a few stories tall on display on a building wall just a few yards down the street attests to that.
Apart from the bonafide buckwheat bonanza, Angel's serves up just what you'd expect from a little diner that has survived enough years that the menu on the wall (and it's historic prices) clue you in to the fact that the proprietors have served up a solid selection of sustenance for some years now.
