4 reviews for Angelo's Spaghetti & Pizza House
I'm a newbie to the area and the first resturant I wanted to try.
There was a please wait to be seated sign, my husband and I
stood waiting to be seated for 10 minutes with a line behind us.
They have not given me a good first opinion. If their service and
host/hostess have anything to do, I do not reccommend this place.
Update june, 6 th, 2008- I just tried Angelos and decided to give it
a chance for lunch. I had the Chicken alfredo and my husband had spaghetti with meat sauce. The salad's were kinda weird but I'm sure its just packaged salad mix. The entire meal for two ran us at 17 dollars. Good food, okay atmostphere and great waitstaff.
Btw- don't get the unsweet ice tea, it doesn't taste that great.
I agree...decent food for fast food prices...
This place isn't Italian...Its IIItalian with a long I sound, Texans should know the difference, but you'd be hard pressed to find more bang for your buck, even at a place like Joes
Happy Eating
It's hard to really rip a place too much when you get a salad, spaghetti and a steak for $5. The salad is just plain old iceberg lettuce with a gallon of ranch on top. I suppose romaine lettuce isn't in their budget. The spaghetti is decent, but is a little damp for my taste. The steak was adequate. Again, we're talking $5 here. Don't expect much and you will walk away happy.
A South Irving institution for over thirty years, Angelo's is southwest styled Italian for cheap. nothings overly expensive, nothing is fancy, but everything is good. Stale salads and a restaurant that could use a little remodeling keep this from being a 5-star steal.
I am biased. I grew up eating here. But if you are passing through, stop by.
