Review from Rebecca H.

Growing up in Princeton with a family of horrible chefs, I was a frequent at Angelos. I have had many dishes from pastas (eggplant parm, lasagna, manicotti) from doughy dishes (calzones, pizza rolls, pizza, sub/sandwiches) to every salad they have (grilled chicken with mozz cheese is the best!!). The food is generally good. The marinara sauce is yummy, but they tend to be a stingy with it. We always ask for extra marinara.
The owners are pretty mean. It seems like they tend to have the younger high school girls and boys working for them to yell and flirt with at the same time. When you go here don't expect the best service because you won't get it.
A previous commented on the lighting and dirty carpet---I'm down to Earth and I don't let little things like that freak me out. If the food is good--it's good. -

The biggest selling point for Angelo's for me is the Dooby Dooby bread. If you like buttery, cheesy, yeasty bread then you will like this dish. it is a pull apart knot bread pile that is baked and then they smother it with melted butter and Parmesan cheese. We usually get the Antipasto salad to go with it. A fine meal. Nothing gourmet or grand but satisfying. And they make a sweet version of the Dooby bread but I have never tried it.

Not a quick off and back on the interstate. I found the atmosphere of the restaurant somewhat depressing with the ratty carpet and fluorescent lighting. The service was good. The food came out in a reasonable time. The price was good. The pizza was just OK. They used lots of cheese, but the pepperoni-green olive pizza we had was lacking in flavor. They are also one of the rare pizza joints that doesn't have beer. How can you neglect one portion of this great American duet? If we lived in Princeton (heaven forbid), we would possibly get delivery, though I would never make my way off the interstate for this place.

Good pizza. Very tasty. Especially enjoyed the banana peppers on the deluxe--all vegetable. The service was a little sketchy. The drinks came after the salads. The garlic bread for a starter after the salad. The salad was nothing fancy but a good portion of fresh lettuce with a few additions that was just right before the pizza.
