I've lived in the neighborhood since way back.  Went to Bateman and Roosevelt H.S.
This place has always had great big football sized pizzas, and the best ribtips in the World.
My once GF, decided we should bring the food back home in plastic containers she was so enamoured with the food.

Let me first state that there are multiple reasons NOT to eat at Angelo's.

1) It looks kind of dirty.  To personify, Angelo's is that 30 year old Italian guy with gold chains and slicked-back hair that is dating your 18 year old sister.

2) The pizza is comparable to that cheap Jewel-Osco brand you can find in the frozen food section for about $2.50 a pop.

3) The location is near nothing else.  What I mean is, Angelo's is going to have to be the point of your travel.  You cannot think that you will stop by Angelo's on your way to the mall, or the roller disco, or whatever it is you kids do these days.

Ok, ok, ok.  Why the 4 stars?  Well, to be honest, the chicken wings are 4-star-worthy.  Angelo's has chicken wings sitting out in a warmer during much of the day.  They always seem to be fresh, from what I assume is quick turnover.  The odd thing is that they are not buffalo wings, rather they are bbq wings.  Actually, the only bbq wings that I can recall ever having and not only enjoying, but thoroughly wanting.  The wings are .99 cents each.  Not only are they cheap, they are BIG.  They are the full wing, not just the drumstick or the other section; which if you got at a b-dub's .60 cent wing Thursday you would have to pay $1.20 for the entire thing.  Follow?  The wings are meaty, thick, sloppy, sweet, and tangy.  Yes, I put the comma before the word 'and' in a list.  Booo-ya!!!

Seriously, these cheaply made wings beat many of the other restaurants whose sole product is wings.  I live in Roscoe Vill. and I make it a point to travel to Montrose to score some of these wings every so often.

Cheeers!!!

The pizza here is just okay. The good thing about it though is that you can get it by the slice or made to order. The dinning room is not open as late as the carry-out, but  I can generally get a meal in a hurry for me and a friend for about $20-25. Overall, it is not really anything special, but they are known for their "football" pizzas.

This place is good and fast.  Food is good but not great.  Recently they have won me over in a major way.  I got a coupon that provides a free six pack of beer w/ the gigantic super bowl pizza!  FREE BEER!!!  DELIVERED TO MY HOME!!!  COLD!!!  You have a customer for life, Angelo's, my friend!

Dear Angelo's:

Holy motherload of bacon batman! Your BBQ chicken sandwich w/ bacon and cheddar is delivery food at it's finest. So messy, soooo good! I also like your pizza (Angelo's special) most days, and some of the pasta dishes are fan-friggin-tastic (Chicken parm and Chicken alfredo). Some days. I wish you were more consistent.

And on another note, i've used your services for the past 6 years, thru 3 different moves in 3 different neighborhoods. Your prices are decent, I tip well in addition to the delivery fee, and I almost always use a credit card. Given these factors, and the duration of our relationship, can the men you employ as delivery drivers not afford a frickin' pen to bring with?! A minimum of 6 out of the last 10 times i've ordered, i've had to go back upstairs, wrangle the cats, hunt a pen and then bring it back downstairs. C'mon - you know the drill by now, get with it!

I'm now in an area that has more options for delivery and I feel this has become a detriment to our relationship. I have higher expectations now, and deserve to have those expectations met.

I've always loved you, but now you seem a bit - average.

Take care -
C.

We ordered a pie last night. I haven't had pizza in a while so we decided to give Angelo's a try. I left up to my guy to order the pizza. He ordered sausage & Candadian bacon pizza. Um, ew but I still ate it. It wasn't bad but our pizza arrived cold. I had to throw my pieces in the microwave and it arrived late. The pizza was nice and thin (the way I like it) and it wasn't too greasy or too cheesy. The have a very large menu so it's good for variety.

They have pizza, Italian dishes, sandwiches, fried chicken and Mexican food. I'm sure we'll order from Angelo's again but the pizza was just so-so.

I have been ordering from Angelo's since a friend introduced me to it back in 2002.

Their Superbowl Pizza w/sausage and their pan pizza is excellent. Their bbq chicken and the 1/2 pound burger are worth a mention. Never disappointed, mostly consistent with quality and their delivery is good too.

You would only eat here if you were broke and wanted reasonably priced food. After my one visit, if I was broke, I'd take the money to McDonald's dollar menu.
If you are a sauce person and like it sweet, the food may appeal to you.  Three restaurants and they all taste the same.
You can get pizza by the slice, really cheap.  Or a single chicken wing, $.78 cents each I think.

Angelo's is what it is.  A restaurant with a very diverse menu that specializes in nothing in particular.

I live around the corner and will order pizza from there every so often moreso due to the conveince of the location than the quality of the food.  Don't get me completely wrong though, the pizza is not bad @ all.

If you are looking for some late night delivery, this is your place.  If you want to take the lady our for an evening dinner...drive on by...

I found this neighborhood gem after a quick visit to http://grubhub.com. Angelo's Pizza delivers quickly and gets you your food hot. The pizza deals are reasonable and the menu boasts food from pizza, pasta, sandwiches, hot wings, burgers, steaks, and Mexican dinners. I usually order some combination of pizza or a burger, but there is no way I can make a call to this place and not get a dozen hot wings for $6.50, they are breaded and too delicious to resist!!!!

Angleo's has a lot to offer for a very low price.  For those who are on a budget this place has a diverse menu that is sure to feed one's hunger.  They have delivery available as well.

They used to be within walking distance.  Now I just order in.  Love the taco dinner (steak, with lettuce and cheese only) and they have good pizza and great nachos.  Same phone/counter girls, definitely know who I am and most of the time the order is right.  I think at one point I ate there four times a week.  I think my brother has taken that crown over.

I love Angelo's not because it has anything great, but it does have a ridiculously large menu filled with good stuff. I ordered from this place at least 3 times a month when I used to work within the delivery area. Me and over half of my former workplace would gorge on everything from the Chicken wings (fried and great.) , Linguine with red clam sauce (one of the few places I would order this from, I'm not a huge pasta guy.), The Mexican food (yes, I said Mexican food.) isn't the most authentic , and it is only pretty good , but I've ordered a decent amount of burritos from there in my time, they get the job done. The chicken vesuvio is decent , I've had way better though. The pizza is just alright , not great , but good enough to get many a repeat order. If you can't decide what kind of food you and the rest of your group want , give Angelo's a shot.

This is one of those quick-service places that serves everything, but specializes in nothing. For example, you can find enchiladas, fried chicken, pasta and ribs on the same menu. Last time I was there (and yes it will be the last time), I order Chicken Vesuvio and they told me it would be 20 minutes until my food was ready. I came back and then they told me another 10 minutes. When I eventually got my food I was starving and ripped open the package and found fried chicken (probably from the day before) covered in oil and herbs. Now, I am not Italian, but I am pretty sure they didn't know how to make the dish. Very disappointing place... on the upside, they offer pizza by the slice for $1.39.

After I moved into my apartment, one of the first things I did was ride my bike around the neighborhood to see where I could get something to eat.  The first place I saw, thanks to the two dozen garish neon signs in the window, was Angelo's.

My first reaction was, "Holy shit.  A pizza place and mexican restaurant that delivers every night until 2AM?  I'm going to weigh 500 pounds."

But then I ate there and realized not even the convenience of a two-minute walk could get me to go back.  And come on, it's not like I'm about to tip a delivery guy just to go two blocks.

Look, the only reason this gets 1 star is because the counter people are quick and efficient.
Their food sucks. No, I mean sucks monkey butt. Really the 2nd worst food I have ever had. But only because Pekin House is first.
We used to order here years ago when we lived in the area and the food was mediocre but fast. Now, it's awful. The last two times we ordered there the food was bland and the servings were so small.
I had the flautas and my husband had the #2 on the mexican menu.
Seriously, at least FILL the beans and rice section of the styrofoam  box. They didn't even reach the top of the portion area. Not to mention that the beans were dry and tasted much like the box would have tasted had we eaten that instead. Let's not even talk about the rice. Bland. Would it have killed them to use a little something in there?
Bad, bad, bad.
My husbands was even worse.  Same issue with the beans and rice. Like they were off the kids menu.
We also ordered angel hair pasta with olive oil and garlic.  The garlic was burnt. and the noodles dish had this yucky rancid taste.
All in all a crappy ass meal that cost me 35 bucks.
Seriously...I could have had friggin sushi.

Do not eat here. Save your cash and go down the street to that little Mexican restaurant on Montrose near Kedzie and have a kick-ass burrito. They won't charge you a buck for everything extra.

The Pizza is pretty good and you can get it by the slice or made to order. The have a dinning room that is open from 11 am - 9 pm, while the carry out is open as late as 2 am on some nights. They do offer 32 oz Margarita pitchers for only like $6.00. They aren't the best nor the worst I have ever had, but its only 2 blocks from my house, and when I want something cheap and within walking distance my hubby and I have decided why not get a pizza and a beer for under $20.00. We will also go for a quick ice cream cone, but otherwise it is not really anything special, just something  close by when we are too tired to go any further and can't eat any more Colombian food. Plus you can get lunch specials that include a drink for around $5.00.

Quick delivery, but mediocre pizza at best. I like thincrust, but this was rather like cardboard in taste and texture.  I think they should scale back the menu and do something really well rather than so many things poorly.

The flavor of the thin crust is alright.  It could use more sauce on there, and I might actually make a point of asking for extra sauce.  It notthing terrible but mostly its just ok.  Like others have already mentioned, their menu options are rediculously expansive... seriously, its daunting to process it all.

I live within walking distance of this place and I would have to say that their pizza is pretty good (not great, just pretty good).  I would not recommend ordering anything other than pizza.  I went here last night and ordered a taco salad and it was pretty nasty.  Also, if you order onion rings or fries, they usually have a greasy beef taste.  I don't know what that's all about but it's pretty gross.

Average food, at prices that are a little more then you would expect. Decent service, clean, and a favorite for police officers, so relatively safe.

I found this place years ago when I was looking for somewhere close late at night to have a snack.  I have been enamored with the BBQ chicken wings ever since.  In complete honesty, I have only ordered the BBQ wings and pizza slices, and would probably not actually order much else.     The pizza is that good old-time, dripping grease, full of cheesy flavor pizza, but more than a couple of slices would probably wreak havoc in the middle of the night.  :-)

I think this pizza is yummy...the crust is the best part.  We had it for the first time when the bar we were at on Saturday ordered it for the patrons.  We liked it so much we ordered it Sunday for lunch!  Simple - thin cheese and sausage - perfect hangover pizza and cheap.
