Tried the Church's Chicken next door the last time I was in Lynwood. And I happened to be in Lynwood again, so I decided to try this joint out. With an overall of 4 stars and 4 reviews, I wasn't sure what to expect. Building was in the colors of red and yellow. Windows weren't completely transparent. And parking lot was slightly packed. (You can park in Church's and walk next door, because you're going to need it after consuming such goodness)

Exterior -  Maybe half the size of a average Denny's and covered in the design of red and yellow colors. Parking lot consisted of maybe 15 car slots, but it's connected to Church's parking lot so you should have enough parking. Located on Atlantic Blvd and Imperial Hwy. Decent size sign on top to tell you. Yes this is Angelo's Burgers. Now come get some.

Interior - Spacious restaurant with a capacity of 40-50. Very clean and tidy even though it's open for long hours and it was during the lunch hours. Next to the entrance/exit closer to Church's Chicken were couple of arcade machines. They had a pretty big menu, I was just thinking "oh, it's just burgers..." Boy, was I wrong, They had everything from pancakes, burritos, tortas, tacos, sandwiches, burgers, and more. And during lunch hour, this bad boy was packed. At least 40 occupants were sitting and feasting on their meals.

Customer Service - Not bad, not bad at all. They were quick and efficient at what they do. She assisted me throughout what I wanted and gave me options nicely. Not like other places, where they are like..."what? why don't you know our menu?" And when they are done helping out the front desk, they go out and clean the restaurant.

Food - Ordering food for my girlfriend and I, came up to only $10. That includes a pretty filling portion of their 1/4 Angelo's burger, long thick cripys fries, a fountain drink, and a breakfast burrito (bacon). I had the breakfast burrito and WOW....was very good. Maybe, the best I have ever had. And the bacon they give you, are actually whole bacon strips. I tried some of the fries and they were so much better than most diners/restaurants. I've also tried a bite of the Angelo's burger, and indeed it is like McDonald's Big Mac...just so much better and bigger? (Best eaten when hot!)

Overall - Great place if you are craving American Mexican food and you happen to be in the area. Just take the 710 or something. Even cruise down Atlantic. You won't regret it. Food was a bit greasy, but delish.

This place had recently been updated. It was clean, but the service was slow - although there we were the only customers. The food is mediocre at best. Your average grease pit food. Nothing spectacular. Prices are great for the amount of food, just not great food. Take a drive and hit Louis Burger in Compton.

Although KC is a level headed dude 98% of the time he rolls around SoCal, there is that 2% where KC has lost his ever-loving chicken. At times like this, Angelo is there for KC.

    Why Angelo, you ask?

The Michael Douglas film "Falling Down" was filmed here and it's comforting to know that KC isn't alone in his furtive bouts of psychosis. But unlike, Mr. Douglas' infamous meltdown on the streets of LA, KC simmers over a nice brekkie with Angelo. While they have burgers n Mexican food too, breakfast is KC's means of exorcising the voices.

If only Michael Douglas would've chilled and ordered the denver omelet with Angelo's tasty red salsa. See you soon Angelo.

The best thing about Angelo's is that it's open 24 hrs. So you can drive thru and get a late night hamburger with grilled onions anytime you want. Fries are perfectly...well fried! Seasoning is always perfect. It does take a while to get your food since they're cooking up everything after you order. The best thing on the menu is the cheeseburger special but they have a huge menu to order from. It might look like a sketchy neighborhood but I live around the bock and have had no problems. Don't eat in - just drive thru and enjoy at home! Oh and you can also call in your order and pick it up in the drive thru!!!

I ate here Saturday night with some friends after a booze-filled night at the Anarchy Library to celebrate my amigo's birthday. Love that it's open 24-hours...I may have to give King Taco a rest now that I'm armed with this knowledge.

I had the cheeseburger special and it was awesome, and not just because I was full of whiskey. The burger came with some thousand island dressing, and while I normally hate it on my burgers (animal-style can suck it!), I found it delightful on this particular outing.

The prices are really good here...it's like 2 bucks and some change for a good-sized burger. In fact, I don't recall seeing anything over $5 on the menu. What's not to love about that?

Lastly, a random yet cool feature about this place: the old-school coin-operated games they have as soon as you walk in. I was eyeing this really cute Little Mermaid doll they had in the claw vending machine, but alas, I had no quarters. Definitely will come back for the grub and toys.

Angelos is a greasy hamburger/mexican food place. Everytime I go I order small chilli cheese fries, the chilli has a lot of spice a little "kick" to them. My family always get hamburgers and fries- the burgers are nothing special and the meat is quite disgusting. Service also sucks and the environment is ghetto! ;P

Had this Review been 10-20yrs ago, Angelo's definitely gets a 4-4.5stars.
Not sure if the owners changed or what causes its major transformation over the past decade or so. They used to have Small TVs on every booth. The Burgers used to be bigger, tastier and obviously of better quality. They also had the Famous buy 1 get 1 free thing. They used to always give away food on Thanksgiving, i never went during this time but i used to see alot of homeless people line up-- great charity work. Now again, I'm not sure but it seems Ownership changed hands, perhaps several times since I've seen different themes over the years. I've probably been there twice over the last 2years. Since its the only place open 24\7 directly omw home, the burger is a VERY thin patty looks smaller than the 1\4lb description, the produce on it doesn't taste or look high quality and the bread seems hollow like a cheap generic version-- The dressing is OK but not great. The chili fries are OK if Ur in the mood for the paste bean/meat mixture type of chili, its not very meaty, but its OK. The grilled chicken breast salad is OK but again the produce isn't very good quality just fair/average.
Its open 24/7 if your hungry and there are no other options but don't make a trip out of it.
2.5Stars Average-Below Average when compared to other Burger Joints. Instead try Louis Burgers(5mins away) on Bullis/Rosecrans 5stars Or Tam's Burgers on Long Beach near the 105 Fwy.

Back in the day, when I was young, I'm not a kid anymore but some days I sit and wish I was a kid again...

Oh, sorry, just reminiscing.  So, yeah, I've been trying to think about one of my favorite places when I was growing up.  Granted, I was born and raised in San Francisco but summer visits to Southern California warranted a stop to Angelo's.  Imagine a McDonald's big mac but significantly better.  The fries were nice and crisp.  The strawberry soda to help you wash everything down.  Yummy!

Hopefully, it's the same place that I remember as a kid...
