I really enjoyed my meal. My cheese enchiladas and chicken soft taco were delicious. My SIL's brisket tacos were amazing. The service was excellent. And the flan has to be tried to be believed - it has probably the best caramel sauce I've ever tasted. I have two minor complaints: 1) I thought the guacamole was a bit bland and had too much onions; 2) I found the beans that were served with my meal a bit too salty.
Over all, my experience at Angelina's was excellent, and I would recommend it to anyone. -

Good Mexican food with decent atmosphere. The overall best part of this restaurant is that it sits right next to Lake Lewisville which provides a nice view while dining.

This place is 100% Tex Mex; not authentic but that's ok. Evidenced by the ground beef and vast amounts of cheese enveloping your food. Having said that, I like this place and always have. We regularly have company parties here. All my employees are Hispanic and they like it if that helps ya. -

This place is a great, I moved into the colony about a year ago and decided to give this place a chance. Since I've gone back many times. What really surprised me was the service and speed of this place, sometimes too fast. I order the same thing almost everytime, cheese enchiladas. I start eating the chips with their delicious salsa (not too hot, with a little sweetness to it) and before I know it they bring my food right out.

I agree with Rebecca M...Good Margaritas...The food was good..nothing special though..but good...would definetly come back for the margaritas...I had the Fajitas which were decent...but then it's fajitas..nothing special. The ambience is nice and the restaurant is clean.

I've been going to Angelina's for years and always have a great experience. The food is good and the view of the lake is incredible.
Seating options include inside, covered patio, outside, and bar (but the bar is relatively small but it has several TVs).
The menu contains many of the tex-mex dishes you would expect from enchiladas to tacos to fajitas to rellenos. For the most part, they are all good. I typical get the Platillo de Angelina because it has a little bit of everything.
Also of note, the city of The Colony requires every restuarant to post their Dept of Health score. Angelinas continually gets an "A" which and is normally in the mid-90s on a 100 point scale. That is outstanding considering health inspectors ALWAYS find something wrong. -

Went there for the first time last weekend...thought it was great. Not too crowded for a Friday night, got lakeview seating. Food was reasonably priced and a little better than your standard Mexican fare.
The big thing for us was the atmosphere. Good view of Lake Lewisville and subtle live acoustic music in the background. We will definitely be back. -

Angelina's has wonderful salsa, reasonably priced entrees and great margaritas. The patio is nice in good weather, there is a covered, screened-in section as well as an open one. Be aware, smoking is allowed on the patio and the screened in area can get a bit noisy because the floor is concrete.

Angelina's is a very cool resturant. They are moderatly priced and have great food. I would recommend the carne asada for sure. I also like the Fiesta sampler platter for an app. Mondays are $2 "margarita Mondays"! Enjoy ;)

As far as cheap mexican food goes, you can't beat it. Good margaritas, good tex-mex fare. I had a combo plate with a mix of enchiladas and really thought it was all good. Good chips and salsa.

Soooo, this place is fabulous! I love their chips and salsa, very good, and their long term staff are also veryyyyy sweet and caring!
The reason why I say that is because the last time I went I had a younger white male who left us for an hour and a half before checking on us. There were nobody there because the lunch rush had left about 45 minutes prior to my friend and I getting there. When he did finally check on us he yelled at us from the door leading into the building to the inside patio. It took him another thirty minutes to get us a refill...and by that time somebody else had already stopped and asked if we needed anything.
On top of that he gave him a $5.46 dollar tip off my credit card without saying anything so in the end we ended up giving him a 12 dollar tip( she gave him four dollars,) i'm not saying he didn't just have a bad day but it's kinda sucky service on his part.
Oh their fried icecream and churros are the best!!!!!!!!!!! -

I like places that, if I happen to glance to my right, I'll find a little Mexican man singing "knock three times" in broken english strumming on his guitar to my table. This is harder to find than you would think! Plus I like places with good food and a chill ambiance. This is why I like Angelinas. It's a great, tasty little restaurant located on the lake. They have a not too shabby $2 margarita at happy hour, plus I have never, ever had a bad fajita there. (Trust me.....nobody wants a bad fajita.....ai chihuahua!) It is a fave place for an evening with a friend to sit back, stare at the lake and enjoy your tequila induced state.

So the first time we went. It was ok. Its pricey and I have had way better. We decided to give it another try and it was worse. If I based my rating off the second time, it would be a two. The service was good, but the fajita meat was horrible, cold, and fatty. I mean, what good is a Tex-Mex place that delivers so/so fajitas? there are many many other places I'd rather go to and willing to drive to.

I often pick up food to go from this place but it's a nice place to have dinner too. They make their own tortillas and sometimes you can see them doing this as you walk in the door. Tonight I picked up food to go and it was ready within probably 7 minutes of walking in the door and placing my order. They are reasonably priced too.

This was my first time eating at Angelina's. It was definitely much better than I expected. The food was good, and served hot, which is always a plus for me... And the margaritas were $2, which was an even bigger plus for me. They most certainly weren't the best margaritas I've ever had, but hey, what do ya expect for $2? The chips and salsa impressed me the most, I must say. Service was excellent, we sat on the patio, and I really appreciate good service on the patio, because I know how hard the work can be, considering I have previous waiting tables experience. The view was much better than it's neighboring bar and grill, Lakeview Terrace, I believe?? Well, anyway, I would definitely go back, it's close to my boyfriend's house, and I always appreciate views of the lake, ocean, pool, etc.. I am fire, so water calms me ;)

This place is probably one of the better authentic Mexican (not Tex-Mex) restaurants in the area. Their margaritas were fresh, not from a mix. Our waiter was stupendous. He treated us like family and brought us freshly stewed hot salsa. We ordered various combinations of food including chalupas, chile relleno, tacos, and enchiladas. When our food came, you couldn't really tell any of the plates apart since they were all covered in cheese (not that it's a bad thing). I would ask for easy cheese next time. The food was wonderful, especially the roasted chile relleno with grilled chicken inside. However the chalupas were basically tostadas and they fell apart when you tried to eat them. Some in our party complained about the chalupas because they were expecting Taco Bell-like chalupas, which come with the thick crust. We had so much left over, but everything tasted good reheated the next day, and the day after. As a Frisco resident, it is often hard to find a seat for dinner on Saturday at 8p, but Angelinas had room for us, a table of six. Overall, it was a good dining experience.

Food wasn't bad(ranchero sauce way too salty) but the dining experience was horrible due to the worst waitress ever. In a party of five, 4 of us will not be going back. The one person that was a regular apologized for taking us there. There are better places around so skip this one.
