I had to take a "special" medical transport after surgery to get home from the hospital.  Only certain vendors are approved.

Supposedly these guys have medical experience/training, but I got a regular towncar and driver, who told me the company subcontracts to other limo companies in the area.

Total to go from UOP to Oakland?  $103, which I thought was a bit much, considering on-time only charged me $61 to get from Oakland to UOP.

Can'[t complain about the service otherwise.  It was top notch.  Driver did NOT see me into the house as advertised.

For NYE 2009 hubby surprised me and got us a car to take us into SF for our fun-filled New Years weekend~

I was a little hesitant because he had told me that he had booked everything online and I only talked to one of the owners once to confirm all the details.  Everything else was done via email.

(thinking in my head)....crap, I hope they don't take our money and run or something like that.  Well, (crossing fingers), here's to hoping!

Our car was scheduled to pick us up @ 530pm on New Years Eve.  My husband was told via email that our driver would be calling when he was close to our house.  At about 5:15pm-our driver, Joel called my husband's cell and let us know that he was about 10 minutes away.  My husband met Joel outside our house and when I walked outside I was greeted by a very nice man, who had the trunk popped open for our bags and heater running (because it was FREEZING)!!!

Joel was the best driver ever!  He was very personable and extremely sweet.  He let us know throughout the drive that there were bottles of water for us-if we need to stop anywhere along the way-let him know, etc.  If hubby and I were talking he wouldn't interject (like I've seen some limo/chauffered car drivers do) and he had great timing on his questions.  It was wonderful to kick back and relax and drive through the city without worrying about being in the drivers seat.

Another thing that impressed me about Joel was his sense of direction-and calm demeanor.  He knew all the shortcuts to our hotel and he did't let city traffic get to him very easily.  Overall-I was super impressed by his service :)

Thank you again to Joel and the staff at Angelica Limos for their wonderful, timely service.  If the occassion ever calls for it again (here's to hoping!) I will definitely be calling this company!!

I tried to use them for my 8/8 WEDDING and it turned out to be a total, utter disaster that I had to write this review.  I booked this limo service since it was listed as a preferred vendor from the ceremony location.  It's a very small place with limited parking and it requires a shuttle service from the public parking.  I made the reservation and talked to the office people at least 3 times and iterated the fact that I needed the limo to shuttle between SF and Tiburon at least twice, maybe even 3 times, and then the limo would have to shuttle guests from the parking lot, which was only a few miles away.  The office people were nice enough and seemed to have understood the plan.

The driver did get to our SF hotel on time, but he couldn't pull in without an assistance.  First, the groom and some of our families were driven to the church.  The driver was such a bad driver that a couple of my aunts got sick on the way.  Also he had no idea where the church was and he had no idea how to park there.  But, the worst of all, he refused to come back and pick up the bride because "the office didn't say anything to him."  He just stood there and refused to move.

To say the least, we couldn't and didn't want to deal with him anymore and we had to let him go.

We scrambled to have another transportation and I was late to my own wedding by an hour.  We had to rush through the ceremony, had to pay people extra to stay longer and had to shorten our reception.

The office afterward was apologetic enough and they refunded my deposit, but at the end of the day, they really screwed up and almost ruined our wedding day. We're never going to get that back lost hour from our wedding day.

I've been using Angelica since early 2007, mostly for getting back and forth from Marin to SFO for business trips.  Typical bill if you're in and around Marin is going to be about $100 to $120 one way.  I wish they'd offer a frequest user discount that could be applied to those times I'd like to use them for personal transport (i.e. wine country, vacation travel, a night out, etc.), but I don't think that's part of the equation.  On the big plus side, though, their communication, confirmation, and execution is thoroughly excellent, never had a glitch, and their fleet is varied and pretty darn plush.  They usually carry bottled water for their clients, and sometimes the daily Financial Times or WSJ papers.  Town Cars are the gold standard, but it's always nice to luck out and get a ride in that CTS once in awhile.

Another plus: these guys are 100% congenial but they will never chew yer ear off...so, unlike some other less than stellar car services I've tried, not only do the Angelica drivers exhibit good judgment on the road, they also know when to shut their yaps and drive!  [Insert TV clip from that Simpson's episode right here, where Mayor Quimby's nephew (in his best New England accent) tells his female companion:  "I'm not paying you to talk!"]

I was married at the end of August and Angelica Limousines provided transportation for our event. We had originally hired Polly Martini to provide limo service on our big day; however, they contacted us 48 hours before our event to let us know that they had a last minute family emergency and were unable to provide their services to us on our wedding day.  As frantic as that sounded, in the very same communication, they put us in the hands of their "sister" company, Angelica Limousines. We were assured a smooth transition and even notified that we had been upgraded from an 8-passenger limo to a "gorgeous 10 passenger Lincoln Stretch." Disaster averted.

Wedding Day...Our ceremony was at 1PM at St Peter and Paul's Church and we were being picked up at our hotel, the Argonaut in Fisherman's Wharf.  The plan was to have the limo pick up my stunningly beautiful wife and her bridesmaids at 12:00pm, and myself and the groomsmen at around 12:30 in a two trip set to get to the Church.  When my wife was walking out of the hotel with her bridesmaids, with the professional photographer planning to capture her getting into the limo, she was floored by what was in front of her.  My wife deliberately selected a Lincoln as it's a classy choice for such a monumental event in which nothing else was a suitable fit for.  She was appalled and shocked to walk out to a stretched Ford Expedition SUV limo!  My wife explained that this was not what we ordered and was given the response that something was wrong with the original limo and, lucky us, they had opted to "upgrade" us to this Ford Expedition.  Apparently the driver wouldn't even give my wife's best friend, who was a bridesmaid, the time of day when she was trying to politely ask if there is some way to get a Lincoln stretched out to the location for even part of the day.  He stated that there was nothing he could do. It was 50 minutes prior to our wedding ceremony and my wife had no choice but to get into the car.

When I came out of the hotel to get taken to the church I too was shocked and didn't realize that the SUV limo was for me until I decided to ask the driver after standing outside for several minutes.  I asked about the limo mix up and the driver told me that something was broken on the other limo so the AC wasn't working. I immediately thought about how my wife may have taken this as I know she was dead set on trying to recreate a photograph that was taken of her mother looking out the window of her limo on her own wedding day 35 years prior.  This meant so much to her.  Even after the wedding the photographer had the driver move the limo away from the front of the church to be out of the pictures as he knew my wife didn't want that monstrosity in her pictures.

During our honeymoon, since she was so infuriated by the whole ordeal, my wife sent an email to Polly Martini explaining our dissatisfaction and asking for a refund since they did not deliver what was agreed upon. Polly replied that she was unsuccessful in obtaining a refund from Angelica Limo and that Angelica stood firm that "they provided a service and we used it." Keep in mind that Angelica Limo did not contact us at any time to inform us of this switch and that our first notice of this situation was 50 minutes prior to the wedding ceremony. We found that Angelica's overall customer service and business practice was very inconsiderate, completely absurd and not at all a way to create a good image of their business. Thankfully, Polly Martini ended up giving us a full refund and ate the cost.

If good communication, responsiveness, and the look of your ride are important to you, I would not trust Angelica Limousines with providing transportation on one of the most important days of your life.

I used Angelica recently when I needed someone to escort me home post-discharge after knee surgery. I spoke/emailed with Catherine, and I was told that for $129 and 2 hours, I'd get a town car prepped with pillows and an attendant (from an outside local service) to help me home, get my meds, etc. Things went ok, but there were several glitches that arose. However, I think it's a wonderful service that fills the void left by wheelchair services and friends scared of hospitals. Remember, though that all in all, you might just prefer a real escort. At least it'll be more fun!

Nine girlfriends and myself just went on the Urban Spirits Wine Tour for a Bachelorette Party. What a great time we had visiting some very interesting wineries and tasting a yummy array of wines through out the Bay Area.

A big thanks to Joel our driver who, when overhearing the girls talking about snacks, dropped us off at our second tasting (Dasche Winery), and ran to the store to buy us crackers!

We couldn't have asked for better service from Joel and Angelica Limousines. Thank you for making a fun and memorable Bachelorette Party.

I just called for a quote on a simple San Francisco to SFO reservation in a basic sedan, and was quoted a whopping $168.00 fare!!!!  That's more than three times as much as other car services are charging.
