Review from Rachel G.
It's late at night about 8pm and I want chocolate before I head back to my resort. To be honest chocolate and a glass of wine in a jacuzzi tub just sounds AWESOME!!! Since it was late, who is going to be open. Yes, I pulled out my yelp search and Anette's Chocolate appeared, located inside Oxbow Public Market.
As I entered the parking lot, I was thinking what is this place. We'll it's a food court.

I was a girl on a mission to find Anette's chocolate. There it was. The nice thing about this place is the selection. You are not overwhelmed with so much to choose from. They had the perfect amount of selections. I purchased 6 pieces of chocolates. Prices varied from $1.50 to $2.25 each.
Lets just say when I got back to the resort and went into my nice warm jacuzzi and took a bite of the chocolates they were ABSOLUTELY AWESOME!!! All six was just breath taking. Lots of moaning and groaning over chocolate. LOL There was not one chocolate that I did not like. So regardless of what you pick I'm sure they will all be great.
So you don't have to worry doing the whole chocolate box where you bite into something and return half of it in the box. Don't pretend you didn't do that. We all did it in our lives. We wonder why the heck we did because really who is going to come after you and actually eat that half bitten chocolate with your saliva on it and since your the one who put it back you know you are not going to eat it again. FYI, if your not sure cut it in half and try half of it so atleast someone else can try the other half.
They also sell premade boxed chocolates if you don't want the individuals.Listed in: Enjoying Napa to the…

Expensive nice chocolate place. they have chocolates/truffles that you buy by the unit. it's 1.25 each. they have really nice ones. we tried a few and really liked them.
they have lots of chocolate infused sauces and syrups. these look yummy but they are very very sweet, you can't take more then a drop and it's too overwhelming. too bad.
they don't have gelato in Oxbow but they do a few blocks away from there. nothing special. -

They have two locations that we know of.
1. oxbow market (smaller outlet)
2. main location (1321 First Street, Napa, CA 94559)
We drove to Napa few weeks ago just for Anette's. However it was very disappointing for us. Last year we stayed at the new hotel across street from Anette's. We bought some truffles and they were delicious. However this time we wanted the ultimate experience of getting the best hot chocolate and we thought who could do it better than Anette's. Well that is not the case the girl who made the chocolate for us really skimped on the chocolate -- I had to ask her to put more choco in it. Even then it was not enough. She kept skimping. It needed sugar to make it sweet.
Go to any good hot chocolate place and you will know the diff. In fact we have two places so far that we like and I will get those reviews in soon.
Now their other chocolate is pretty good and we bought truffles and they were very good. We also bought the chocolate syrup and its awesome on desserts specially vanila ice cream -- But their hot choco sucks so avoid it.
In our opinion they don't deserve more than two stars [at this point] -

Anette's Chocolates is at the Oxbow Public Market, this is a second location. They have a location at 1321 First St, Napa.
I got to try their chocolate Cabernet sauce w/ some Three Twins ice cream-I thought the sauce was just ok.
I liked and got their Firey Beer Brittle for $9.95. You can try it at the counter - just ask. They also have regular Beer Brittle and a Cabernet Brittle.
Credit cards taken. The bag they gave me fell apart by the time I got to the car so be careful. The glue on the bottom doesn't hold up.Listed in: desserts, Oxbow Public Market, Napa

aaaaaah - this is a little chocolatier inside the Oxbow Public Market.
For me, personally, they are probably more like 3-stars. However, my reality is: I don't care much for chocolate and, in particular, chocolate candies unless they are from See's because See's is what I grew up on.
The chocolate's here are skillfully crafted and beautifully displayed, albeit quite expensive for what they are. But I digress, everything in the Oxbow Market seemed exponentionally overpriced. -

Really delicious. The honeycomb and chocolate alone are worth a special trip.

while roaming around downtown Napa i spotted this chocolate shop. the store had an old fashioned type feel to it and the girls behind the counter were really sweet and approachable. i got the english toffee cookie(?) and the doodlesnicker cookie(?). the question marks are because they tasted and felt like cookies but they were more round and thick. around the blog world i've seen similar things called "dough balls." whether a cookie or a dough ball, they satisfied my sweet tooth.
