Since 2003 I have been going to Andy's, that's the year I started attending UH Manoa and moved back to Hawaii.  The people here are nice, friendly, get to know who you are (if you keep coming back, even intermittenly), and really have aloha to share with community through their food.

Andy and his 'ohana are a great example of local business being successful, even a boy from Molokai.  I have been part of the Andy's 'ohana since my return home but I feel even better when I get to contribute to their family, such as through their granddaughters fundraising through sweet bread.

I'm not sure if their products are local, but they are a great local family to support.

My order is the AHI TUNA AVO, which is awesome. But if your vegetarian or vegan there are plenty of options available.  Their dried banana and fruit mixes are always awesome too, but more of an luxury item for me.

I don't eat here all the time, but when I do I know what I want and that there will be a smile met along the way.  If you want to support local business in Manoa, support Andy's.  Let them know your name, where you come from and what your favorite order is.

Been a few times, definitely a mom & pop kind of place with very casual atmosphere.

    My recent experience:
I try not to be picky or change the menu too much, but I was craving an egg sandwich on this particular day and it's not on the menu. I don't like to be "that guy" and ask if you can change your whole menu, I know it's not BK. However, I explained what I wanted and woman working "Aunty" or "Auntie" as almost every person called her as they came in, I may have been the only non-regular in the place. Anyhow, she was super, sweet and accommodating. Made exactly what I was craving, and even went a little over board on the eggs, like a giant omelet sandwich. And, the free coffee with breakfast saved me a few bucks from the Starbucks next door.

Definitely worth a stop if you want some real old school Aloha.

    What I know:
    1. Good sandwiches
    2. Quaint place
    3. Great employees
    4. Not a lot of parking around back, but there is a huge parking lot at Safeway.

    What I don't know:
    1. Smoothies, guessing they are good, because it's in the name of the business, but not sure, fo' sure.
    2. The rest of menu.

My wife was craving a sandwich so looking over my bookmarks I remembered this place.  Funny I've been walking by this place since I a kid but never came to check it out.

Walking into the place i didn't expect it to be so homely.  As I looked around I was wondering where the couch was.  The lady at the counter was quick to welcome us with a big smile.  We decided on the pastrami sandwich, a salad for myself and a blended guava drink.  I think my salad was called bird nest, large ,(comes in small too), w/ avocado and tuna.  There was no line when we came in but by the time we made a decision and placed our order there were 4 people behind us, busy.

We got take out and drove to Manoa park to eat.  A great place to enjoy an afternoon picnic.

As we got started my wife was very quiet, so i figure the pastrami was good.  Later I found out she ate it all so, it may have been great, I don't know, I have to go back by myself to get to try it.  I do know it  is served piping hot and came on sandwich bread.  My salad was surprisingly great too, and I didn't share either, mainly because my wife was too busy eating her sandwich and was too full after to want to try.

My salad had carrots, sprouts, lettuce, tomato, avocado and tuna w/ papaya seed dressing, unbelievable.  I don't know why but that was one of the best salad I had ever had.  All the vegs were fresh, good size serving of tuna.  On the down, the tomato were a little under ripe, but it is hard to find good tomatoes in Hawaii.  The sprouts were the highlight of the salad, w/ the dressing it really made the salad.  Only disappointment was that the avocado was mashed up like guacamole, just thought it would have been better if it was sliced.

As far as the drink, like everything I got to try, unbelievable.  Tasted like real guava.  Luckily my wife was full from her sandwich so I got to drink most if the drink.

5 stars for the great smile, service and fresh food.  Although they used regular sandwich bread, it gave the sandwich that "mom's love" feel and u can taste the caring.  When I go back I'm going to try their famous roast turkey sandwich, when we were waiting for our food the next three costumers order it in succession.

Its not only because I work next door but I LOVE ANDY'S!.... Auntie Debbie, Andy, his wife and daughters are awesome! Sweetest, kindest people you will ever meet!...Everything is delicious...It gets very busy during breakfast and lunch and Saturday's they're closed. The Ahi Melt is amazing...or whatever they're current special is...they roast their own turkey for turkey sandwiches and what not, everything is pretty much homemade, they bake bread and everything...the baked goods are awesome too! Love this place...super cheap and tastes amazing!

This place has turned into my morning ritual!  Everyone who works there is so incredibly nice, I swear they greet almost all their customers by name! Just a really great place to go and have a healthy meal and if they aren't slammed you probably will get to 'talk story' with Andy! He is such a positive guy, with tons of great story's about 'old Hawaii'.  To me it's a place where time kinda slows down and you can have a nice quiet meal.
I go here probably 2 times a week for breakfast....it's either a "High-Pro" smoothie or a Tuna Melt sandwich with their amazing Papaya Seed Dressing. So Ono!
Oh, i also usually grab a dozen of their cookies for my office. The Chocolate Chip-Macadamia Nut cookies are ridiculously good!

Finally got the chance to try out the infamous Andys the other day. Luckily I went in during their an off peak time and there was no line. Score!

I got their turkey, avocado, cheese sandwich which was delicious but my only complaint is that they didn't put enough of their fresh sliced turkey in. I was skeptical about the "swiss" cheese because I prefer sharp cheeses but I would hands down get it again, tasted more like an American cheese.

There were so many other sandwiches that I would love to try, so I'll be back!

The lady who made my sandwich was a sweetheart, definitely a good vibe in there! \

Located between Starbucks and Garden Island Café.

I had finally got to try their Turkey Sandwich with Avocado, Tomato and cheese.  It is not easy to find turkey sandwich with thick chunks around here.  This was shredded.  I am totally satisfied.  With the price and satisfaction you get with the food, I rate 5 stars.  I had sipped my friend's smoothie that was good!

These baked goods at the entrance were looking great too.  Got to get back there to try the rest.

Very humbling place to grab a quick sandwich&soup/smoothies. All the aunties are very friendly...and once you go a few times, they recognize you. Everyone in this place seem to have a sense of...."peaceful state of mind" towards everything, which works well for a small, almost hidden, sandwich shop.

Fresh ingredients and fairly big portions. I don't usually get full from sandwiches, but the sandwiches here are pretty hearty.

I'm not really into turkey, so didn't really care for the hot mushroom turkey sandwich, but the ahi melt sandwich is by FAR the best sandwich IMO. It packs so much flavor, from the smoked ahi spread down to the veggies and the alfalfa sprouts with the papaya seed dressing...makes my mouth water every time.

I think all restaurants should use this place as a "role model" in terms of customer service, food quality and the general atmosphere. As long as these traits are achieved, the experience will always be a memorable one, no matter how ghetto the place may be. Just don't come during peak lunch time..line can get long.

There is something terribly charming about Andy's - no doubt. I ordered myself a hot chicken and mushroom sandwich as well as a Cranberry muffin - I wanted diversity. However, I couldn't help but be disappointed. Ultimately I found myself enjoying the sandwich, only because I have heard so many awesomely good things about Andy's. I wanted to hate my experience, but then I thought about the terrible backlash I would receive from my review (Yeah, I do think about that).

The GOOD: The personality. Not just the delightful woman making the sandwich, but the friendly cash register attendant were all happy, joyful and made the experience what it was. If they were bitches, this review would have been easy, but because they were awesome - I am doubting the necessity to rip the restaurant a new one. The muffin, although a bit dark around the edges, was really moist and delicious. not only was is moist, but busting with cranberries. Enough to make Sam Rothstein proud (look it up).

The BAD: I asked the lady behind the counter, "Whats popular?" and she listed a couple answers, but emphasized the Hot Chicken and Mushroom Sandwich. I had doubts, but... how could that go wrong? The answer, un-toasted bread. The sandwich was a great size, but it comes on simple sliced bread. The juices from the mushrooms and the sauces from the chicken tore right through the bread like biting into a cocopuff and having all the coco-filling spew out the ass (I hope you got a visual).

Lesson learned: If you're going to order a hot sandwich from Andy's - get it toasted; it may allow for a slight barrier to the wicked meat juices. That is why I am giving Andy's a second chance, eventually. When I go back, I know to order something less... extravagant?

OVERALL: the sandwich filling was fine, the execution was bad - on that morning. I am confident that Andy's is far better than my slight mishap. Two stars is negative, and I will be sure to come back and fix it. they definitely deserve a second shot at it.

My husband and I had just completed a 4.5-hour hike.  I wanted a smoothie...he wanted a sandwich.  Yelp found this place, and I'm so glad it did!  We both had simple but delicious sandwiches and thick, satisfying smoothies.  I got the Manoa Delight, which has avocado, mushrooms, cheese, tomatoes, and sprouts.  It's a vegetarian sandwich, but I never missed the meat.  I loved that there were sunflower seeds to add a little crunch.

On top of that, the lady behind the counter was incredibly warm and nice -- she stood out even among the many very nice people in Hawaii.  This place is small, but is filled with deliciousness and down-to-earth warmth that was exactly what we needed!

I've been dying to try a sandwich from this place since I see this shop almost everyday. I should have tried the Manoa Delight but got the tuna melt instead. It was okay. I've never had a tuna melt before so I didnt know what to expect. I don't think Andy's make their own bread or made some kind of special tuna mix for their sandwiches. I also asked if they made their own chicken patties which is served in a sandwich as well, and they don't. Aside from having all the fresh vegetables to put in the sandwich, there was really nothing special about it.

Andy's is the cutest, most delicious mom & pop sandwich & smoothie place! Everything is fresh and made from scratch. They have a pretty wide variety of foods to choose from, and everything is really natural and healthy...and delicious!!! (...and anyone who has eaten REAL healthy food knows that it's an art to make something that's good for you taste good.)

I'm also a huge fan of Andy's smoothies. There's always something that'll hit the spot! They have smoothies with protein in it for a post-workout treat and there's even a redbull smoothie that tastes delicious (meaning I couldn't taste the redbull)! That's my go-to study smoothie.

I love the atmosphere here! Whenever I eat here it feels like I'm eating in my own home. Andy's is a family-run business and everyone who works there is so kind and courteous. Some people might be turned off by the tiny tables and cramped space, but it's all part of the experience of eating at Andy's, and I've never heard anyone complain about it.

I just watched the episode of Community about the sandwich shop and I was thinking about sandwiches when I happened to pass by Andy's. I had been waiting to try this place because it has such great reviews and hurried in at about 1pm to get a fast lunch. IT WAS PACKED. The line was almost out the door! That was fine, I had more time to read allllllll the menu items and decided to get a tomato, avocado and cucumber sandwich. The lady who made my sandwich was nice and directed me (from the back of the store) to the cashier (located at the front of the store)with a little piece of paper that had the dollar amount I owed. awkward. Eh, whatever....The sandwich was good and only about $6. I noticed the sandwich lady added some garlic powder to my sandwich, which made it taste Indian almost?? Idk, my taste buds were a little out of whack with me being a little sick....

I must come back for a smoothie and an ahi spread sandwich.  :)

Whether or not you die for sandwhiches, it doesn't matter because Andy's Sandwhiches & Smoothies are for the sandwhich loves and the sandwhich haters.  I typically dislike sandwhiches as I feel like the are super borrrrrre.  There are so many other things you can eat other than a slice of bread and some lettuce and meats. And why would I pay for a sandwhich when I can make a perfectly good one at home.  That is what I used to tell myself but, NONO, there is something about Andy's wherein they make MAGIC CRACK sandwhiches..  I can never make a sanwhich taste as good as andys and I've tried using all the same ingredients.

This little hole in the wall restuarant reminds me of somewhere a hippie would go before going on her morning nature walk.  I usually get the tuna, avoccado, tomato cheese OR the birdsnest.  Both sandwhiches are exceptional (for a sandwhich that is).  I love the sprouts they put in there, there put sooooo much too you'd think a bird is nesting in there.  I've also tried their acai bowl which was pretty standard, nothing special.  Ovearall, love this place but it definitely gets crowded around lunchtime, don't expect to be in and out there in under 10 minutes.

I had the smoked ahi and avocado sandwich on wheat bread with sprouts, lettuce and grated carrots.  The smoked ahi spread is very tasty, but a little too mayo-rich for my taste.  This is one of those rare occasions where I might have liked a sandwich more if it had LESS filling.  I'm a fan of sprouts, so I was happy to see that they do not skimp on those.  Some black pepper sprinkled on top of each bite made this sandwich one I will probably crave from time to time.

The inside is tiny, with only about 6 tables, and it can get very crowded around lunchtime, so I took my sandwich to go and ate it across the street on one of the Manoa Marketplace outdoor tables.

My meal of the sandwich and an Odwalla orange juice totaled $9.  I will definitely be back, especially since it's only 5 minutes from UH law school!

I can't believe I've lived in Hawaii for so long, always passed by this place, but have never tried it before. Really good bang for your buck!

From what I know, there are not very many sandwich shops in Hawaii. In fact, the other week I tried a custom-made sandwich from Safeway and it was horrible. They charged me $9 for literally one piece of meat with some bread slapped over it.

Andy's does just opposite. They put a huge chunk of meat, veggies, and my favorite, sprouts. I ordered the turkey, avocado, cheese sandwich. And it was HUGE! And only ~$5! I could only finish half of it, so it made two meals that day.

The smoothies are good too. I tried one with a mango flavor. Quick and affordable, Andy's will be my go-to sandwich place on the island!

    Pros:
    Free coffee
    Delicious options
    Healthy
    Cheap

Upon entering the restaurant, you might think the doorway contains a flux capacitor that brought you back to the age when sandwiches were $5.00. Nope... it's 2012 and the delicious homemade style sandwiches are still only $5-$6

There's about 20 items on the wall to pick from, at least half are vegetarian :).

I had the spanish omelet which was filled with chili, onion, and tomato. It was really good, but I was I had gone with the Bacon, mushroom spinach omelet. I tried a piece of my friend's and it was amazing. Get toast on the side, it's only 50 cents!

I also had the "Monoa special" It was an avocado sandwich with a mix of vegetables on toasted bread. Excellent all around.

It's a little tight inside so don't bring large groups. Also make sure to check their hours before you go, it's a little irregular.

Oh Andy's, how I love thee!

Amazing food, great prices for a college bum like myself, great location, and wonderful attitudes. Seriously, walk in this place and tell me if you ever see anyone NOT in a good mood.

The only thing that stinks is their hours. I can never get here in time for breakfast, which makes me very sad, because their French toast is the most magical thing I've ever eaten in my life.

Other favorites include the vegetarian burrito, the green chili melt, and the raspberry cream smoothie. MMM! Easy on the taste buds and the wallet!

Andy's Sandwiches & Smoothies is located on East Manoa Road, next to Starbucks. Just look for the mini green-colored complex across the street from Manoa Marketplace. Parking is available in that lot behind Starbucks, but it fills up quickly.

Breakfast is ONLY until 10:15am. Not 11am, not 10:30am, but 10:15am. And even if you were in line by 10:15am or around then and don't get to order until 10:19am, no breakfast for you.
Most people go here for the sandwiches anyway...

Andy's sandwiches are made fresh when you order, so the line can get pretty long. And most people don't mind the wait because it's Andy's. Fresh, healthy, and good for the soul are how I like to describe Andy's sandwiches.

The only stressful thing about sandwiches is that there's so many possibilities! Arg! There are so many different sandwich options at Andy's that it gets overwhelming at times. My suggestion: go with the Eggplant Melt. http://www.yelp.com/bi... Okay, I know there's no meat, but you won't miss it. Eggplant and cheese are a deliciously simple yet tasty duo. PLUS the poppyseed dressing!! OMG, you gotta try it.

Also, Andy's prices are decent. (Thumbs up!)

Anyway, the bf made it a point to stress how he likes Andy's better than Storto's and all those other build-your-own sandwich shops we've ever been to...
I think I'm going to have to agree with him on this one. Haha.

Andy's has THE BEST tastes-like-mom-made sandwiches you can buy in Hawai'i or quite possibly anywhere.  (I don't like to brag, but my mom being the devoted Army-wife commissary shopping lady she is makes the best hoagies; I digress, Andy's doesn't serve hoagies)

Ask for the "Ahi Deluxe" (Ahi, Avo, Tom, Chs): smoked ahi spread, avocado, tomato and cheese! Loaded with lettuce, carrots and sprouts.

You could opt for the Ahi Melt -- same as the Ahi Deluxe but with melted cheese, mushrooms and papaya seed dressing on the side.

There's something magical in the smoked ahi spread.  Perhaps it's been smoked in something other than Kiawe chips.  Nancy Botwin is dat chu!? jokes brah.

Andy's is consistent, fast and timeless!  This place will be around forever so I'm sure there will be enough smoked ahi spread to go around.

    Quick tips for 1st-timers:
    - park in the Manoa Market place parking lot across the street from Andy's
    - walk in with a smile and straight up to the sandwich bar
    - order from the friendly aunties and they'll give you a slip with the price
    - take slip back to the pastry case near the entrance and pay
    - wait patiently (it gets super busy during lunch and Sunday breakfast times) and then snatch your sandwich and shove it down your throat like a fat kid

    CLOSED SATURDAYS!!

Ohhhh I just realized I've been coming here for over 10 years... wowza. The owners (Andy and his wife Norma) are still just as nice and the food is just as good as it has been since high school.

This place is definitely a hidden gem tucked away in Manoa across the street from the Safeway complex. What's not to love? It's a local store with plenty of charm. The smoothies are to die for (and are head-over-heels better than Jamba Juice) with a variety of flavors, sandwiches/salads healthy and huge (enough for a 2nd meal if you don't pig out like I do), plus they have lots of other drink and snack options. I usually try to eat healthy but cannot resist getting one or two of their cookies when I go up to pay at the front.

It's always nice to come here after a hike in the valley or a nice jog. I've never had something I didn't like here. I've actually tried to recreate several menu items and have failed. The prices are so good however, that I don't mind going when I can make their open hours. I tend to think about ordering the baby tostada and then go for the papa size and eat it all guilt free with a guava or mango smoothie. I've been here with tons of different people and we've never left unsatisfied or unhappy. I just wish they were open longer so I could come in the evening!

Note: they are closed on Saturdays.

Hint: order first at the back where the menu board is, then take the paper slip up to the front. They accept credit cards w/purchase over $5 dollars now. Unless they are super busy, the food is usually ready in a few minutes. Also, the breakfast is super good!

I'd seen this little sandwich shop a few times while at the Manoa Shopping Center when I was still a student at UH.  There was a shuttle that would take students up to the shopping center and back.  I'd gone a few times to pick up lunch from McDonalds or go to Longs to buy supplies.  HC had mentioned that Andy's was good, but I just brushed it off and never really thought about it again.

After hanging out at the Japanese Cultural Center in the morning, I asked HC if he was willing to go to Andy's so I could have a smoothie since I remembered they sold smoothies there.  Ended up driving up the road to Manoa and parking in the shopping center across the street.

There wasn't that long of a line and the ladies at the counter served people quickly.  After looking at the menu (bright pieces of paper up on the wall behind the counter), I decided to get a sandwich instead of a smoothie.  HC was full from all the food we had a the festival, so he decided to just get a smoothie.  I ordered the mushroom sandwich with all the fixings.  As I watched the lady put my sandwich together, I could feel my stomach rumbling, "Feed me Caryn!"

Anyway, got home and opened the sandwich up and was in love after the first bite.  Everything just melted in my mouth.  The papaya seed dressing was good as well!  I saved a container to eat with my carrots for lunch the next day.

I can't believe that I passed up multiple opportunities to eat here while I was at UH!  Now I've learned my lesson...I guess I have to trust HC's food choices sometimes.

I guess it's not fair that I came here after I just went to Mocha Java Cafe and had an awesome soup because I just came here to have a quick snack...got the minestrone, and was like....blah....kinda like eating it just because I'm hungry and my body needs it....not like OMG, this is so good I HAVE to have it.

My friend got the acai bowl...which looks and tastes more like acai ice cream. *shrugs* He didn't really like it. I thought it was ok...nothing special though.

I guess I have to go back and try other things since everyone is raving about this place.

Located in the Manoa Valley is this little sandwich and smoothie shop!  Just landed from the mainland and my daughter took me her for lunch since our dinner reservations weren't until later.

Got the hot pastrami on whole wheat with a drink and chips.  The price was very reasonable.  They also make homemade bake goods there and my mind kept thinking about  the turnovers and cookies they had.

The service was excellent and the food is fantastic.  I like supporting the smaller mom and pops places.

Give these guys a shot...you won't be sorry!

Wow nobody in the world makes the best Banana Pancakes and Salad like Andy's. This place is hole in a wall but the food is amazing.  I recommend going there during breakfast and haev the banana pancakes and bird's nest salad. The prices are unbeatable and the service is great.  Park behind the church. I recommend this place for visitors and friends!

Dear Andy's- I love you! Your food and amazing friendly staff never fail to make me and my tummy happy!

I find myself at Andy's in Manoa at least a couple of times a week for a tasty, healthy and fresh lunch! I orginally feel in love a few years ago when I first had their turkey and avocado sandwich. Real turkey--like the Thanksgiving kind, fresh off the bird! Add some sprouts on top and I'm a happy camper! Its basically my perfect sanwich and only costs $5!

If that doesn't sell you, there are plenty of other options, including many vegetarian choices! (The large Bird's Nest salad which tuna and avocado is another favorite of mine.) They also do breakfast 'till 10ish on most days and I highly recommend their pancakes(w/bananas!) and french toast!

Heads up, they are closed on Saturdays, which I still tend to forget until I get there...

Other than that, I can't say enough about this awesome little hole in the wall tucked away in beautiful Manoa!

OK apart from; Green Door Cafe & the sushi place in Waikiki Park shore this was the only joint that could be transplanted out of Hawaii and survive the cynical foodie crowd in Chicago. Lunch counter style, but they have 2 tables inside and 2 tables outside, they specialize in veggie stuff but have a few meat options, like Pastrami, and Chicken Burgers.

I wanted to try everything, but alas we were going hiking to a waterfall so I got:

Pastrami: Dude, unreal, its like they kidnapped Manny and made him give up some of his Pastrami to this little place in Hawaii. Not overloaded like mannys, but high quality meat.

Smoked Ahi tuna melt: Wow dude, WOW. This was a homerun. So amazing and complex, I was transported back to Jerrys for a second. Then i woke up and thanked the lord I was still in Hawaii.

Green Chili something - Awesome and spicy, reccommend you get it as spicy as they will make it.

In closing, I want to come back and buy the menu, they have Kambucha tea and smoothies also. REALLY Great place, INCREDIBLY nice staff and very reasonable prices, all the elements that work. If you're in Honolulu, for sure stop here for lunch unless you like spam sandwiches.

Whenever I go to Manoa this is the place I go for lunch.
I always get the same thing and they remember what I order!
Their prices are great and it is a challenge to eat healthy and I am in the car a lot for work.  The Papa Tostada (vegearian) is so big I have a great snack in the afternoon.  It is one of the best hidden secrets on Oahu!

What is there not to love at Andy's? It's a small sandwich shop. They also have baked goods. Oatmeal chocolate is my favorite. It makes me believe I'm eating healthy cuz there's oatmeal in it.

All of their sandwiches are good. My favorites are the Manoa Delight and the Smoked Ahi with avocado. The Manoa Delight is full of fresh veggies and even comes with papaya seed dressing for a zing to it.

My only complaint would be parking. Starbucks shares the itty bitty parking lot and I find cars double parked in front of me if I do find a stall at all.

I absolutely love this place!!! I've been coming here ever since my room mate got hired!!

Andy is a super legit guy!! (he cooks all the breakfast in the am) Super social guy that loves to talk story!!! All the auntys are super loving and caring...this hole in the wall place keeps the aloha spirit alive!!

As of food...acai bowls are the bomb. With some bananas and granola...yumm..every Tuesday they have some lasagna!! With some salad and papaya dressing!! Breakfast is a feast for a king (or queen)!! The banana pancakes are scrumptious!! Ohh...and the French toast on the sweet bread hits the spot!! Okay okay...can't forget about the sandwiches and smoothies...I'm a reg on the turkey and tuna...but today I tried the chicken...delic!! They put sprouts in their sandwiches and bake the bread fresh...so it's uber healthy!! And their secret spice/sauce is ono to the max!! Soy protein smoothie taste bomb after working out!! Ohh...let's not forget about all the snacks..turnovers...muffins...big ol' cookies and energy bars!!

What can I say...I love this place!!

Only bad thing is that their closed on Saturday and boy oh boy is their lunch hour busy...but no worries cause you can always call and pre-order whatever you like :)

I'm not sure what it is, but I feel really good every time I eat here.  Maybe it's because Andy's is one of those places that you love because of the Mom & Pop feel and the fact that you know you're helping a small business that puts pride in their fresh, healthy, and delicious food.  The biggest drawback is that they're closed on Saturdays, which always seems to be the day I want Andy's!

Food:  A healthy variety of breakfast, sandwiches, and smoothies, with many vegetarian options!
My personal favorites are the ahi melt (a smoked ahi sandwich with papaya seed dressing), the papas tostadas (basically a taco salad with tasty veggie filling), and the mango cream smoothie.  If you get the ahi melt, I recommend getting one of their smoothies because the smoked ahi can be a little salty, which goes perfectly with a sweet smoothie.  I also highly recommend their trail mix.  My favorite is the one with banana chips, dried figs, sunflower seeds, chocolate, and almonds.

Venue:  Really cramped, not good for groups, and difficult to find parking.
The shop's popularity definitely exceeds its capacity.  There are about 6 tables that can seat 2 and a couple of tables outside.  Most times you'll need to get your food to go, because seats are always taken.  They share parking with Starbucks in the cramped area in the back of their shop.  There's probably about 10 spaces total.  You may end up having to park at Safeway across the street.

    Service:  Friendly, quick, memorable.
Andy and two employees work here.  Andy's usually in the kitchen, his wife(?) is usually making the sandwiches and smoothies at the counter, and there's one girl who works the register.  Despite the few people, they manage to crank through the line that usually goes out the front door!

Tip:  If you go on a holiday when people usually like sit-down meals, like Father's Day or Valentine's Day, there's almost no wait!

I was in search for a healthy lunch and have been struggling with myself to go vegetarian or not... So far, I haven't been successful.

Since I was on my way to go see a friend, I asked if he wanted anything from Andy's. He asked what they got... So I took a picture of their wall of choices and sent it to him... it was a bit over whelming to read it to him over the phone. The girl behind the counter saw and told me they have an online menu! So awesome to be able to check online. He quickly texted me back with his order.

I ended up getting a avocado, tomato, and cheese samwich. Yum! They don't do panini/grill style so they microwaved my cheese to it'll be like a melt for me. I thought what I ordered is what I was going to get. But they surprised me and made it a REAL SANDWICH. Filled it with lettuce, alfalfa sprouts and shredded carrots and their special seasoning.

I got my friend the deluxe roast beef sandwich... it's not really "deluxe", I just wrote that because I can't remember what it is exactly and it had the everything in it.  He said to me while enjoying his sandwich; "I forget how good Andy's is..."

I bought couple of their house made cookies to share with the others too and the mac-nut, coconut, chocolate chip cookie was so good, I knew then why it was the last of its kind when I grabbed it.

    Andy's... I shall return!!!

Laurie and I's most favorite spot for acai bowls after a hot day at the beach! just located in manoa valley prices are very reasonable, excellent customer service and friendly staff. the food is very delicious! avocado sandwhich is bomb! this shop is very small with around 5 to 6 tables inside so its better to just take out instead to eat in.

Places like Andy's is one of the few reasons why I love coming back to Hawaii. The owners are just so sweet! I would come here in highschool all the time for breakfast. My boyfriend and I would get there at 7am and were sometimes greeted by Andy himself! Such a nice guy :) His wife (I'm assuming the lady behind the counter is his wife.. the older one with short hair) is also such a sweetheart! They're the type of people you wish you were related to haha

Their banana pancakes are delicious and huge. Their omelettes are super huge and yummy. Their sandwiches are a good size and so are their smoothies. The only reason for 4 stars rather than 5 is their price. It's a little high for me (because i'm broke as fuhh) but I tend to break my budget when it comes to food. Specially food with great customer service :)

Oh, it gets super busy during lunch time btw! And it's very small in there.
