Love the blueberry muffins that they hand out before you order! I ordered the migas & it was good. But the customer service is excellent, we had 10 in our party with 1 baby & 2 toddlers. Our waitress was awesome!!

The blueberry muffins everyone raves about are gratis, but oh, they are so dry and icky. Save room for something good.
The breakfast quesadilla with bacon is super tasty. My mom always gets the two cheese enchiladas with beans, rice, and two eggs how you want them. It's obvious that they don't do powdered refried beans here. They're really good. Sour cream is out of a packet - sort of odd, but you know it's fresh. Coffee is good.
This is a local greasy spoon where service and food will always be what you expect and consistent. The staff are always pleasant and very helpful. :) -

Food was very good. The portion size for the price was a good deal. Service was good. I appreciated the fact other servers served us along with our server. I will probably return when I'm in the Corpus Christi area.

I have waited to write this review.....I did not know what to say. Let me start by saying, we went here after seeing the yelp reviews. The food was great BUT....
Oh, do you know the muffin woman,
The muffin woman, the muffinwo- man,
Oh, do you know the muffin woman,
Who uses her not washed hands to get your muffins?
Oh, yes, I know the muffin woman,
The muffin woman, the muffin wo-man,
Oh, yes, I know the muffin woman,
Who apparently (AFTER I asked her if they should use their bare hands or not) went and grabbed a bag of muffins for us to take home with her hands.
I am sorry but I am not trying to be a beeeech about it. I do not want you to touch what I eat. I do not kno where your hands have been. 3 stars instead of the 1 I want to give because yes the charm and the food of this place is great.
Just don't put your hands on my muffins yo! -

My wife's eggs and sausage were very good, I had a chorizo and cheese omelet that was excellent, food and service was excellent, we'll be back!
If you have kids or grandkids, the elevated trains running around the room will thrill them, blueberry muffins on every table is a nice touch, free too! -

Great find, thanks to Yelp! I'm in advertising so I loved the trains circling the top and the waitresses were just as friendly as could be.
Thank you, Andy's Kitchen. Next time I'm in Corpus, I'll be coming back.
Oh and the blueberry muffins - YUM!
Food - great
Service - great
Wait - none at 9:30/10 a.m. on a Sunday
Atmosphere - great -

The five stars should say it all. First and foremost- Trains on the ceiling! How cool is that? A close but more tasty second, the FREE, oh-so-delicious blueberry muffins. (5 stars right there)! And now to the food:
I don't think either one of us finished our meal. In fact, my partner in culinary escapades requested no hasbrowns because he knew he wouldn't finish it all.
Eggs are big and cooked to order. Bacon (and the waitress made a point of asking if I wanted in crispy) is the big, thick stuff. Biscuits are home made, big and fluffy.
This IS the place to have breakfast in CC. -

I love this place. Got there around 11 AM and it was PACKED! Was told the wait would be 20 minutes but may have been closer to 30.
Service was awesome. Even when super busy, there are plenty of people to refill water/coffee and bring extra bread or condiments.
This time around, I was able to try the following and all were fantastic:
-- Pork chops were grilled perfect; super moist
-- Veal liver and onions.....*DROOOL*
-- I love all their breads: cornbread, muffins, biscuits.....
Great prices; larger portions; super tasty food; awesome service.....5-stars all the way!1 Previous Review: Show all »

You must eat here when you visit CC. Everything's done right. Nice servers, great southern hospitality, and delicious, flavorful food at very good prices. I will be back here.

The pancakes tasted gross! The omelets were flat, poorly cooked, and the bacon in them was not good at all. Yes, the famous train was nice. The service was satisfactory, and the host reminded me that I had left a bag on the table, hence the second star.

If you want a good old fashioned American breakfast, this is the place to be. The muffins they give you while you wait for your food are the best! They are very kid friendly, especially with the train that goes around the room up above. They even make mickey mouse-shaped pancakes.
It is a little outdated, I would have to call it a "greasy spoon", but I love it.Listed in: FOOD

A friend and I were in Corpus Christi for Memorial Day weekend. The waitresses all seemed really sweet and ours was really attentive. Our food came out really fast and was piping hot. It was not only delicious, but cheap!
They have 2 train sets that border the ceiling with trains that constantly run on them--kind of random, but interesting. -

Andy's Kitchen has great service, great atmosphere, great prices, but most of all, Great Food. The chicken Fried steak is perfect and the fried fish is excellent - my favorite place to eat. I recommend this restaurant to both locals and tourists. (There is also a train that runs nonstop around the restaurant) I never go away hungry.

we were looking for somewhere different this morning and used yelp to find andy's kitchen and took a gamble. when we got there the parking lot was full - always a good sign. we had to wait 15 min. on a sunday morning at 10am to even get a table - another good sign.
finally got our table and the waitress quickly brought their homemade muffins to hold us over until we ordered breakfast - we opted to stay on the tex mex side of the menu - mmmm....mmmm good - i had the quesadillas super yummy and very filling. everything was homemade and very resonable. i will definately put this on the repeat list. -

I love Andy's. I'm sad it closes so early, but when we make it I'm so happy! My hubby loves the enchiladas. I love the breakfast stuff. The train going around and around makes my eggs that much more enjoyable! I'm glad they've added windows to brighten it up a bit. And nothing like the service from the ladies that work there!

I must be the only person that didn't enjoy my breakfast here...the food was incredibly greasy and trust me i can handle a lot of heavy foods...plus everything was kind of bland...I had to give it an extra star though for the home-y feel of the place and the really nice people working here.

I have been going here since I was a wee one. The wait staff is always friendly. Most of them have been working there for years. The new owner is quite possibly one of the sweetest ladies I have ever met. This is one of those places where most of the clientele are regulars, but they always welcome new diners. They are only open until 2:30pm, so you need to get an early start. They have a variety of dishes, including breakfast, Mexican, sandwiches, and southern cooking. All of it is delicious and cheaply priced. They also have homemade pies and blueberry muffins. Yum!

Don't miss this place or you will miss a jewel. If you follow me, you know I'm on a personal mission to find the best biscuit N gravy around. Well, they are close, very close. This place is so cute, so country and the wait staff are super friendly. Its like a little country cafe in the city. Those muffins they serve while you wait are to die for. Our breakfast was fresh, hot and served very quickly. it was about 10:30 when we finished our breakfast and I knew we would not be back on this trip - so we had pie as an end to our breakfast.........YUMMMMMMYYYY....don't miss this place, the locals know a few things about it for sure. You will not be disappointed....we were not. We will be back when we come this way again. They do close at 2:30pm so no dinner - take the pie with you for sure :)

Really charming place with a true attitude of Southern hospitality. The waitstaff is excellent - attentive and sweet without being overbearing. The decor is total country cottage and the sounds were classic country (George Jones, Tammy Wynette, Willie, and more). The food is a bit more variable, but most of it is good to great. My wife's pecan pancakes and the complimentary basket of muffins were outstanding, and my poached eggs were fine. However, I have to take off at least a star for using canned corned beef hash and for not frying the hash browns enough. Based on other reviews, I'll be trying one of the Mexican breakfasts next time.

Love it!
This place is awesome for brunch/breakfast: good food, nice service, family style atmosphere. (you can tell the owner put some efforts on decorating the place)
Veggie Omelet is great and doesn't feel overwhelmed after finishing the whole portion. Homemade blueberry muffin is fine (a little dry). Biscuit is full of butter smell and taste and I really like it. Coffee is very light, but not bad. -
