Everything about this cafe is wonderful; their service, prices, food and pastry's. The owner, Andy, is very nice and takes the time to talk to all of his guests. It was so good that I went two days in a row and I highly recommend the french toast and their scramble.

The first time I went it was great. Seems it's going downhill now. The omellete was very small but tasty. Coffee was good. The problem is no hashbrowns come with the omellete. You get just the omellet and toast!
Toast was good.
Suggestion to owner. Start making your crepe like omelletes with MORE ingredients and throw in some HASHBROWNS or potatos on the plate!
Price was high considering just toast and eggs. Would be ok if they added some potatoes.
I'll give them one more chance. -

Not impressed. Staff was friendly enough, food was just okay. They were out of both white and wheat toast by 9:15am, how does this happen in a bakery? Also, the 'orange juice' was a bottle of Oceanspray brand concentrated orange juice served with a glass of ice.
Bottom line: We waited 30 minutes for just an okay meal... That won't work when "The Egg and I" are just a couple minutes up the street with mmmuch better fare. -

We were looking for a good breakfast place to kick off our day at the beach and came across the reviews for Andy's. The place was off the beaten bath, not near the beach so depending on your viewpoint, that may not be a plus. We didn't mind the drive.
It had a nice little bakery section when you walk in and the staff were nice and friendly. The two cooks were walking around at various times to check on customers, see how their meals were and thank them for coming in, which I thought was really great.
The only drawbacks was actually the food. They serve community coffee, which my husband (who is from New Orleans) and I love ... but the waitress told us it was regular roast and the chef said it was the chicory blend. Pretty sure it was the regular as it didn't have the same taste as what we drink at home - the community with chicory blend.
I ordered an omelet special of the day with ham, spinach and gouda. It was pretty good and it came with toast and nothing else. It was good but nothing special. My husband had waffles - that's it. They don't serve it with bacon or sausage or anything on the side. I wanted homefries, but they come in a mix with the peppers and onions already in. I love onions but not the peppers. I don't like when a breakfast place uses pre-mixed potatoes.
Overall it's an ok place. The best part is the friendliness of the staff. The food and atmosphere are not enough to bring us back. -

Flour power French toast - thick French bread in a cinnamon and brown sugar batter topped with toasted pecans, fresh strawberries, and powdered sugar. Very good french toast. One of my friends mentioned it was his first time eating French bread french toast, I think it might have been my first too. The bread was nice and thick. Syrup came on the side. Couldn't have asked for anything different
Surf and turf omelette - bacon, caramelized onions, mushrooms, smoked Gouda, topped with lobster bisque. Too much bacon for me, but I'm weird and I don't really like bacon. After trying the omelette I really wanted a cup of their lobster bisque! It was good, just not my favorite
We also tried some of their baked goods, the bear claw was really good they warmed it up before serving. The cheese danish was okay. The cappuccino chunk muffin was not cappuccino or chocolatey in any sense. Maybe they gave me the wrong muffin, but I got carrots and raisins... or maybe the raisins were supposed to be the chunk and I just assumed it would be chocolate? Either way, baked goods were okay but not OMG.
Just like the other reviews said, the service SUCKED. You can't order a baked good at the front if you have a table, you have to wait for the really slow waitress to come over. Talk about inefficient :P -

A sign of a good restaurant is fresh ingredients and food made from scratch. Andy's has both of these things! The menu items are great but don't overlook the daily specials! Expect a bit of a wait when you go here. Don't expect a "hash n dash" breakfast place. Staff is friendly, personable and very knowledgeable!

I'm not sure what all the fuss is about.
I visited Andy's Flour Power during the latter half of the lunch rush, and there were certainly plenty of other customers.
It took the staff a few minutes to direct us to a table. Service overall was friendly, but not very attentive.
I ordered their Cuban sandwich, which they bill as one of their specialties. I love a good Cuban, but this one was bland, and worse, was pressed to the point of being burnt. The bread was a flavorless black, crunchy substance not at all akin to the Cuban bread I am accustomed to eating.
The sandwiches are served with a bag of specialty potato chips (Sea Salt Kettles I believe) and are all in the $9 range. I felt this was greatly overpriced given the quality and nature of the sandwich.
Most customers seemed to be drinking tea, and for good reason. The soft drinks are served bottled and ring in at $2 a piece. I have always hated this arrangement. I understand a restaurant may not have the equipment for soft drinks from a fountain, but the syrup is more economical and with the proper carbonation much more delicious to boot.
The crowd seems to have been mostly local, and I guess the appeal of this eatery is the artisan approach they advertise (breads made on premises, etc.) but really for the amount you are paying you can get a higher quality product at Panera Bread, let alone a true local hotspot like Liza's Kitchen, which is only a few miles down the road. -

The best things to get here are the pistachio muffins and any dish that comes with home fries. In fact, sometimes when I go for breakfast, I literally just order a pistachio muffin and a side of home fries.
My only complaint is that you always, without fail, will leave Andy's smelling like the inside of an oven. -

Came here for breakfast on Sunday morning. We had the breakfast burrito with home fries, and the breakfast croissant. The burrito was huge.. stuffed with eggs, peppers, sausage, cheddar cheese and tomatoes, and covered with a southwestern sauce to give it a little kick. Home fries were among the best I've had. Real potatoes, sliced and fried with onions.
Our server, Christina, was great. She was very attentive to our needs, and also informative. She recommended the burrito to me, and when I asked her where to go for dinner, she recommended the Captain's Table. It was her favorite, and according to her, it was where the locals went. On both counts, she was absolutely right. Thanks, Christina. You were awesome.
This was my first visit to the Panama City Beach area, and it won't be the last. When I come back, I'll be coming to Andy's for breakfast. You can't miss with going here. -

fair food with an attitude. Visited Andy's Flour Power Bakery this past week for lunch. We each had a sandwich with chips ... Both were only mediocre at best. Service was just fair as well. All for $21. Panera Bread, Oliver Garden, Jin Jin 88 would all be better values and offer better food, in my opinion.

Yum, yum, and yum! I wish we would have found this place sooner on our trip. We went here Monday morning (2 days after Ironman). It's a cute little cafe. It feels kind of like a European cafe. Love the artwork on the walls too! You walk in and see their display cases filled with delicious-looking goodies. But we had to eat breakfast first.
I ordered the "I Want It All" Omelet. It had ham, bacon, tomatoes, bell peppers, onions, spinach, cheese, and anything else you put in an omelet. It was incredible! The filling was all wrapped up in a thin burrito of eggs. I have never had an omelet that good. My mom ordered the French Toast. Oh.my.goodness. Heaven on a plate! They use their own homemade bread. It's huge thick pieces of French bread. The batter consists of cinnamon and brown sugar. It is amazing. You don't need any maple syrup for this French toast. My husband had the biscuits and gravy with 2 eggs. I took a little taste of gravy and it's bursting with flavor. Seasoned very well. My dad had the Eggs Benedict and a side of Cheesy Grits. Yum. Cheesy grits are my new favorite food.
Baked goodies. I have to share my experience with these. I went a little dessert-crazy. Here's what we took with us:
Chocolate Muffin - moist and fluffy; rich flavor
Orange Cranberry Muffin - didn't try this - Mom took it with her
Cream Cheese Danish - my husband ate this one
Apple Struedel - My parents shared this, so not sure
Chocolate Croissant - BEST chocolate croissant I've ever had! My husband says the chocolate croissants in France are 10 times better... if that's the case, then I should probably stay away from them, because I could have eaten 10 of these. I wish we had bought more than just one.
Chocolate Chip Cookie - Great flavor. Soft cookie. Big too! I love big cookies.
White chocolate macadamia nut cookie - husband ate it, so not sure how it was.
I wish I lived down there and could try everything on their menu. The owner had to leave on a family emergency, so there wasn't any fresh bread. Otherwise, we would've bought bread. I bet their cakes are good too. I highly recommend this place to anyone either traveling to PCB or who lives there. -

Went here for breakfast once. It's a really cute place and the name of the place just took my fancy as my boyfriend at the time was called Andy and I just thought it was kind of funny. They had good food, lots of regular locals eating there (alwaysp good) and friendly service.

Great spot in PCB for breakfast. They have a great menu with a wide selection. The food was good, not great. The service was pretty slow but everyone was really friendly so it made up for the slow service. Also, if you ask for coffeee to go, they pour a fresh cup for you to take with you. Come early, by 9:30 am, it's packed.

This is a great little bakery / sandwich shop. I love the cuban sandwich here. The parking lot is a bit small, but don't let that deter you from enjoying the goodness that lies within!
Be sure to check out all the baked goodies in the display case before you go. The cookies are awesome.
As far as service is concerned; I've never had a bad experience here. The wait staff is very friendly. You may be disappointed to hear that Andy is no longer the owner, but the new owner often comes out of the kitchen to greet the customers. He's very nice guy! (Even though he's from New York City!) -

It is OK, I did not think this place anything special.. I had breakfast here and tried a pastry and the food seemed pretty normal.. Likely I will try again to see if I missed what everyone is raving about..

Had a great 3 egg spinach, tomato and feta cheese omelet. My wife had one of the best looking breakfast sandwiches on a croissant that I have ever seen. The prices were very reasonable (4.00-7.00) for full meals. The bread was very fresh tasting since it is baked right there. Service just average but it was pretty busy in there. I would go back again.
P.S. There looks to be some fresh baked delicious cookies I'd like to try too. -

My kids love going to this place, but i am not so fond of it. I had the vegetable egg florentine and it was loaded with grease and not very tasty. I was so disappointed. The kids seem to all enjoy their french toast with powdered sugar and fresh fruit..

Huh? They close at 11:30am because they are going to be closed the next day for a holiday? What kind of sense does that make? It's a breakfast and lunch place. Why bother opening at all? WARNING: Don't go for several days before a holiday. They won't be open.

I finally got the chance to stop in today. I've heard a lot about this place ever since I arrived in town. My wife and I came early morning for breakfast. It was very tasty. Next time I'm in the area I will def stop in and grab a few of those tasty looking treats out of the display case. And the lunch menu look very interesting as well. So I am a new regular guess they will have to learn ny.namE

This is one of the best breakfast places that I have been to when traveling. I travel quite a bit for work, and have eaten at many restaurants.
The eggs are amazing. They are not afraid to season them like most restaurants. If you like chocolate croissants; my wife will tell you it is one of the best she has ever eaten.
Andy is very personable; comes out and greets the guest. We stayed at the Bay Point Marriott resort, and ate breakfast there all three days.
Service is amazing, and at the most had a 5 minute wait. -

It's a charming little breakfast joint, but this place is more than just good food. Everyone who works there makes the atmosphere fun. As weird as it sounds, I normally leave in a better mood than when I arrived. I am from California, and wish we had excellent service and happier servers.

Went for breakfast. Small place but it only had a few customers so I was able to get a table immediately. Kind of a limited breakfast menu but there were some good choices. I had the breakfast croissant. It was very good. Had a cheese danish as I left and it was very good.

Have had breakfast and lunch here a couple of times each. Everything we've tried was excellent and more than you can eat. French toast, OMG, you don't even need the syrup. Comes with sliced strawberries and English walnuts on top...but here's the best part...it's made from French bread baked right here. awesome. Lunch salads are a huge bowl of goodies--spinach salad has almonds, bacon bits, mandarin oranges, and carmelized onions, I had to have a take-out box it was so big. Chicken salad on croissant, yummy! Specials on the chalkboard in addition to regular menu. We have had the same server 2 or 3 times, so it seems there isn't a lot of turnover. She was great and the chef also comes around to visit. Bakery case in front is loaded with tempting goodies, and I'm thinking, maybe this is our local "ace of cakes", the displays are very creative. Reasonable prices, good coffee, they don't do dinner, but breakfast and lunch will keep us coming back here.
