We have seen Andy Z a number of times. My kids love his charismatic personality and his music draws in everyone around him. I have even found myself humming sticky bubble gum or slippery fish in the car! We look forward to seeing him when ever we can. Its always fun to watch your kids get so excited and thats what Andy Z does for our family and so many others.
Thanks to him we have brought many melt downs in the car to smiles and singing with his cds.
He should have his own show on nickjr!
I know we would watch it! -

Andy Z is a local legend in kid's music. If you haven't taken your kids to see one of his incredible performances, you are truly cheating your kids.
Andy Z's music is intelligent, fun and fast and kid's love it. Best of all for parents, you can listen to Andy Z's CDs and the music never gets old. Alot of other children's performers talk down to our kids, but not Andy Z - his music keeps kids interested and excited. His performances are great too and if you get a chance to catch him with the Andyland Band, your kids will definitely thank you! -

My daughter and I just saw Andy perform at the Los Gatos Library. The toddlers absolutely loved him. I was blown away by how fast he grabbed their attention and got them all to participate. He has a great sense of humor and was entertaining for the children as well as adults and, I have to admit, his his tunes were pretty catchy.

Review from Dennis H.

As a musician of a caliber somewhere between amateur and professional, I have a litmus test for music acts, if they aren't as good as me, they should find another job.
My friend had Andy come over for his daughter's birthday party, and Andy came in wearing a tie-dyed T-shirt, shorts, and soul patch while carrying his guitar and a small boom box. He set up by the pool, and allow me to guide you through the event using Dennis-vision with a stream of consciousness description of what I saw.
-Jeez, he seems a little stiff with his intro. At least he got her name and age right.
-Opening with 'If You're Happy and You Know It' using a voice that would get on the first day of 'American Idol'? Yeah, this is entertainment, if you like watching Borat. Wondering if I need to remember the 'Big Rock Candy Mountain' lyrics without the cigarette trees, he may get booed off the stage.
-Tunes out of the boom box and his voice clears up a lot with 'Welcome to Andyland'. A bit better.
-Heh, the pirate song is kinda cute, he moves pretty well and the kids are starting to watch.
-I don't know what he's doing with the puppet, but the kids are laughing.
-Something is not right. The kids are dancing and giggling like crazy, hanging on his every word and action.
-Call a priest and get some holy water. I think he is a demon inhabited by the spirit of Elmo, the children do everything he says and they appear to be spastic.
-NO! Not my eighteen month old daughter too! That does it, I have made my choice for the benefit of all of us. Before I am rendered irrelevant as a father, I must kill him.
-His boom box is playing the same music he opened with and he's saying good-bye to Andyland. It appears he only showed us a hint of his powers and he's returning our children to us.
In all seriousness, as a man that has heard 417 versions of 'The Wheels on the Bus', I was delighted to hear well-written, creative children's songs that adults could enjoy also. He performs them really well, and he is also nice. He was good with the kids and parents both. I don't know his fee, but he's worth quite a bit if you need solid birthday or party entertainment. -

Andy Z is talented and amazing. Andy performed at my son's 2nd birthday. A fun time was had by all...young and old alike. We bought a few of his CDs and listen to them all the time. My second little one hasn't even seen Andy live yet, but loves his CDs and sings the songs every chance he gets. I truly can't write a review that would do him justice. He's great!

This has to be one of the most hard working dudes, I have met!!! I first heard of him from my "mommy group", and have been an Andy Z Group-Zie ever since. !He is my daughter's favorite.
After seeing him play out our Mothers' Club function, I crossed my fingers to see if he was available to play for my daughter's birthday. (totally short notice by the way) and I know he totally squeezed us in to his already impacted schedule.
He has this gift of always making everyone feel special, and really makes a point of getting to know his crowd, remembers names and is very personable.....so much that my daughter always talks about her friend "Andy Z".
We live in Pleasanton, and I have traveled as far as Carmel, just to see one of Andy's shows. He is always humble and super appreciative!
If you can get a chance to see one of his shows, you won't be disappointed. His songs are also "parent friendly" in that you don't cringe every time your kid requests his songs. I have actually caught myself listening to his songs without my daughter in the car. -

We hired Andy Z to play at our daughter's birthday party and it was a big hit. The whole process was very well organized, and his administrative assistant was very responsive, which we appreciated. Andy himself arrived on time (with a bit of extra time for setting up/getting acquainted) and played all of our requests. The kids and adults alike loved him. He made my daughter's day when he stayed after his concert time was up to eat pizza and cupcakes with her.

Andy Z is hands down the best children's performer I have ever seen. His shows are the perfect blend of singing, movement and lots of imagination. My kids are six and three and they both love to sing and dance along to his songs. The fact that kids are encouraged to participate is fantastic.
The best part is that Andy is such an amazing person that he really makes you like his songs even more. He takes time at every show to talk to all the kids and remembers those that go to lots of his shows. That makes all the kids feel special.
We listen to his songs in the car all the time and as a parent, I don't mind hearing them over and over again. They are silly, fun and contagious.
Andy Z would make a great TV show as well. I KNOW we would watch! -

Andy Z is like family to us! My children have grown-up with him- at our personal birthday parties, pre-school parties, fundraisers, libraries, all over town and i especially LOVE watching him at the Greek Fest each labor day weekend. He is magic to my active kids who finally give me break when he is groovin around. My daughter is enamored with hem, and we sing all his songs in the car and even last night as our bedtime song "slippery fish". The DVD is also a huge request by my son! Join us all in Andy Land and have forever wonderful times and memories for the entire family.

I have been taking my son, now 4, to see Andy play all over Redwood City since he was a baby!

Andy Z is as good as it gets! Actually, he's better! He surprises me every time I see him with his talent and enthusiasm. The children love him and the parents do too! We never get tired of listening to his music.
Thank goodness Andy Z found children's music on his journey as a musician! He brings clever humor, imagination, exciting characters and lots of love to children through is music and stories.
His live shows are phenomenal--we have seen him at large venues with his entire band and we have hired him solo for our birthday parties. He loves what he does and it shows! He give of himself 100%. -

This guy has to be the hottest musician in town! As an aspiring musician, I really look up to Andy Z. He's really made a name for himself. I consider him to be the most successful musician in the Bay Area. Children, parents, and even non-parents loves his music. He really engages the kids in interactive play and imagination with every show. Jonas Brothers? Bon Jovi? Please... I'm going to an Andy Z concert!

Two thumbs up! Andy Z is the best say my kids and me! Andy performed at both my kids second birthday parties as well as in my sons school for his third birthday and the kids have LOVED the shows and always want more! Kids who attended the parties now want Andy Z to be at their birthday parties! He is able to get the kids (of all ages even 1 to 9 years!) involved throughout and really participating!
The CDs are really good and my kids cant get enough. Luckily for the adults, Andy Z has a great variety of songs in different genres of music so it never gets boring for the grown-ups, unlike most other kids musicians. He changes his voice, has so many different themes and weaves them into interesting stories so the CDs and shows keep you captivated, every time!
Go Andy! You rock! -

We love Andy Z - he is our absolute favorite children's musician! He entertained our daughter and friends at her 4th birthday party and has been asked to perform at many of her friend's parties since. Andy interacts with the kids in a respectful and fun way. It's so much fun to watch the kids fall under his spell as they shake their bodies like scarecrows, run like dinosaurs, and just get silly! His CDs are great too - a staple in our car that even my husband and I don't tire of. Love him!

I've enjoyed live music since I was a kid; so much so that I began playing in rock bands as a teenager and never stopped. Now in my 40's, I love watching my kids (ages 4, 6, and 8) "rock out" to Andy Z. They especially love that he encourages a lot of audience participation. I especially love that his tunes are fun, entertaining, and "adult friendly," unlike many other children's songs which wear on the nerves. If you're looking for something fun to do with you family, why not take them to Andyland?

My niece and nephew introduced me to Andy. I enjoyed watching them bounce around singing his songs. But it wasn't until I had my own son that I truly became a fan. Great music in a variety of styles, creative lyrics/storytelling, high energy, and awesome live concerts. My son- now 18-months- is addicted. Andy excites, comforts, and calms him. He has learned countless words, matches pitch singing a few notes, and LOVES music. Thank you, Andy!

My kids absolutely love Andy Z. We have all the cds and play them in the car when I need to keep them happy. We see every show he plays with the Andyland Band if we can possibly make it. And last of all, my kids range in age and my oldest son is almost 6 and he still loves Andy Z!

Give Andy Z his own show on Disney/Nick/PBS/Whatever .... he's that good. We've been going to Andy Z concerts for 3 years now after he performed for our preschool (Mountain School in the LG Mountains). I have also spent the last couple of years driving my preschool car pool with Andy Z full blast over the Bose .... the kids jump in the car and scream for it to go on. Even after countless iterations of each CD, I still smile at the likes of Sanjay Squid.
