I've been to this bar a few times for drinks with friends when we lived in Neo Vertika (Andu is located on the corner of 1st Ct and 7th St, next to Neo Vertika).

The ambience is nice, the service isn't spectacular, and the drinks are good. They are trying a new happy hour system for "beating the traffic", so if you're in the area between 5-6 it's the best time to give Andu a try.

I haven't tried the food here, so I can't comment, however it may say something that I rarely see people here eating.

Parking can be bad if you don't live or know someone who lives in Neo Vertika. Neo charges $20 flat rate valet, and I'm not sure how much Andu costs for their valet. There are about 6 street parking spaces in front, but they fill up fast.

If you don't like valet, there is a parking lot further east on 7th St that usually charges between $5-$10 flat rate for self-parking.

Andu is a little further away from the heart of the Brickell scene however, it still had a pretty good size happy hour crowd. The drinks were fine and the everyone seemed pleased with the appetizers. What made this place stand out was its decor, it's almost refreshing due to its use of white and modern elements. The bartender was polite and attentive.

    Overall a pretty good spot.

First of all, let me start off by saying that this review is definitely going to have to have an update because I don't have much to say thus far. I went there the other day before the Yelp Elite event @ Graziano's. I arrived a little early so I went to Andu to have a drink before the event started. The place has a lot of potential. The layout is very nice. When I was there, there was hardly anyone there so I don't know if it gets hoppin' at night but I sure hope so because the place is really nice. They had a special on beers while I was there, which I paid $3 for a Heineken. Thats why I gave them 4 stars for now based on the great drink price and nice look of the place...but I can't comment much on the service because all the bartender had to do was give me a drink and I didn't order any food.

As far as Corkpile's previous review...I don't think that ponytail dude is there anymore either. The bartender that was there was a young guy without any ponytail that sounded like he had a Russian accent.

I sort of liked this place but only really ate here two times, I do however recall the service being somewhat spotty and the valet parking a nightmare. As for the food I suppose that's not really an issue now since the place has since closed...

Andu lures you in from the streetside with its hip, modern, chic decor but don't be fooled by it's mere appearance and make sure you bring a Spanish-speaking translator with you to this Mediterrean paradise.

Upon arrival my friends were rudely approached by the hostess who demanded on knowing whether or not they had reservations. (8pm on a Friday and the place was practically empty). Our party of six ordered several appetizers that included the hummus, calamari...Okay but nothing to die for.  We ordered a round of drinks and waited almost 45 min for our food to arrive.  If you like large portions this is not the place for you (except if you order the Ribeye, which is one giant slab of meat thrown on a white plate).  The servers snatch the plates from the table before you're even done with the food.

The valet charges $10.00 for parking.  If I were you give them at least an hour notice to bring your car for you. Otherwise, you'll be sweating in the humidity while you wait the hour for them to remember where they parked your car and bring it to you.

Oh and I have saved the best part of this lovely experience for last.  If you enjoy mashed potatoes with HAIR in it, then this is definately the place for you...The server's only reprise was that he was going to advise the chef and he snatched the plate away from in front of me.  A manager did not come to apologize, no courteousy were given to our $300 bill, and the server seemed upset when we did not order dessert.

My honest opinion, I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone but the choice is yours.

Recently went here for Valentine's Day. It has beautiful decor, with the motif being water. If you like Crate and Barrel, you willl appreciate this place. I have been a vegetarian for about ten years and having wanted to try crab. The chef make a special crab risotti that was the best thing I have ever had in my life. Its dark and cozy and perfect for a dinner date.

what do you say about a place where the bartender (at an empty bar) simply refuses to make you a drink?  No reason, just a cocky "nope, I'm not making it" that made me want to string him by his ponytail.  Beautiful space with a lot of potential, but I get enough rude treatment on South Beach to get it off-beach as well

i haven't been to eat yet... but  i've driven past this one for awhile and it just looks so... sparkly!  i think it's located in the bottom of the neo vertika (one of the neo's at least, i always confuse em).  super sheik and very cool.

andu, finally opened yesterday!  woohoo.  i was really hoping to go, but alas... that didn't work out so well.  i'll update more when i go.  so my review is based solely on looking through the big glass windows... and so far, i'm very impressed.

Horrible service at the bar; perhaps the most chaotic and unruly bar I've been to and that's saying a lot. Zero ettiquette. They also ran out of olives and had no lemons. Still the place was full so I guess the locals seem to want this type of service.

We had been there before but never as good as toniight. Our guests loved the decor and the excellent service. One guest ordered a couple of appetizers (such discipline) and the rest of us ordered curried duck and tenderloin with peppercorns.(2) My only complaint was I wanted more peppercorns. No dessert for me but our guests indulged a bit with exotic ice cream and the capochinos were very good. The owners are young simpatico fellows and always make sure their customers are pleased. Wonderful personal attention and an interesting menu.

modern chic, totally vegas like styling and interior decor.  very impressive, should make for a nice happy hour ambiance as well.
the one thing  i have to say is that the service was great.  our server knew everything about the dishes, made recs, checked on things a lot without being intrusive, and ensured our dining experience was excellent.  the owner came by to say hi, place has been open ~2 mo.

i liked the menu a lot, especially how it sounded, though once again it kinda veered off course from mediterranean (like brosia, but this place is better)
unfortunately our dishes were kind of hit or miss.
the pita and hummus that you off start with was perfect.  nicely baked pita with delicious hummus, cheese, olive oil, and kalamata mix
    for our dishes,
the gnocchi flavor was good, the texture was a bit hard rather than melty soft; the dry serrano ham added flavor
the steamed black mussels were a miss although they tried to be different with a red wine sauce instead of the typical white sauce.  flavor was ok but some of the mussels weren't open all the way, some of them didn't taste as fresh.  the pomme frites were large, heavily seasoned, with a mustard-esque aftertaste.
the whole lobster in sweet chili garlic butter (presented within the half shell) was disappointing -- too dry and chewy, plus the chile flavor didn't come through
i did like the side of broccolini -- cooked just right and had a nice combo of cheese, chili flakes, and tartness
overall good but not really a repeat type of restaurant for me.
