This is the closest major market to where I live, so I end up going fairly often. They're in the midst of a major redo. That said, if you're fiscally responsible you have to be very careful how you shop here. I actually find they have really good meat and seafood deals, so it's worth stopping by that counter. But the produce prices are insane. Go two blocks up Irving to Parks Produce Market and buy there for half the price! And the bakery is blah... I got a brownie there I threw part of away. The wine selection is pretty good and they have specials at times. And they have a better selection of ethnic foods than most (though again, be careful on prices... I love Tasty Bite indian food and it's a dollar more here than at Parks). Mostly, I go here for deli sandwiches, meats or wine, and get everything else I possibly can other places. In addition to Parks, there's the corner cheese shop close by, and Arizmendi Bakery all in close walking distance. Be European and hit them all :-)
There are things I can only find here that no one carries. Like, truffle oil. A puny bottle is $12 but get this, they have it in black or white oils! Other than that, if I'm in a hurry home and can't stop at Safeway, I'll come here. The deli is just great with all the food, soups, salads, lunch meats, pasta, etc. They make sandwiches which tastes so much better than at Safeway but it'll cost ya. I used to buy the fish too, but the prices have been outrageous. Another specialty item is Kobe beef from Snake River. I don't know if they still carry it anymore since that meat is has priced it's way out of most pocketbooks. They no longer carry the frozen Angus beef patties which were so delicious for burgers. They were one of the few places to carry Strauss organic milk but on my last visit, they only carry their 1/2 and 1/2 now.
A couple of the butchers are really nice and Marius is my fav checkout guy and Tony, the bagger. They'll give you 5 cents credit for recycling your bags (paper or otherwise), more than the 3 cents Safeway gives you. It's a great store but not a place I can do my weekly shopping because you definitely pay a lot more for the same items carried at Safeway. Come here for the special stuff that your run of the mill supermarket doesn't carry. You can get your knives sharpened once a week (drop off Tuesdays) for $5 a blade at the butcher section.
Sometimes, I like to spend my free time roaming the aisles. I usually only walk out buying a cupcake, diet ginger ale, and a magazine, but I love looking at all of their fine cheese and fresh produce. If you are going to have a nice dinner party, this is the place you come to. Their wide selection of meat, cheese and baked goods are very high quality. The cashiers are all very mellow and friendly.
However, do people really do their everyday shopping here? Im not a cheap person, but I do feel that I have the right to complain about $5.99 for a box of Lucky Charms! I mean, honestly, am I being punished for enjoying my non-organic, high sugar cereal? Oh, and thats for the smaller box.
It doesnt stop me from frequently roaming this place.

The first rule of shopping at Andronico's is not to go in expecting Safeway prices. The second is to look for bargains. I have never in my years of shopping here paid full price for anything.
I hit up the "bargain corner" first. It has been shifting around lately due to the remodel but I always find it. I've gotten organic shampoo for $1.50, silicone bakeware for $9.95 or less, spices, marinades for $2 that usually sell for at least $7. There are almost always awesome scores there.
Next I move on to the discount meat section. This section has also been on the move due to the remodel...and I always find it anyway. Yes, sometimes the selection is nothing more than brown sausage or bologna but I very often find wild fish that looks excellent marked down by half. If you can get there first thing in the morning you may even score a whole duck. There's nothing wrong with this meat. Just plan on cooking it within a day or two.
Next, depending on the amount of time I have, I'll check out the aisles. This past weekend they had an entire rack of spices on close out. I stocked up. Vanilla bean and saffron that normally sell for $13 were marked down to $5. Everything else in the $5 regular price range was around $2.
I'll also check out the beer and wine sections since the prices aren't too outrageous and they're are usually significant markdowns on stuff you won't find in other gorcery stores. They recently had $30 wine marked down to $15...and it was quite good too.
Don't do your daily shopping here if you're on a budget. Yes, the produce looks excellent and the aisles are stocked with all kinds of shiny treasures but you don't buy these things here. You go to Trader Joe's, Costco and neighborhood produce markets for most things. Specialty stuff on close out/sale is why you go to Andronico's.
This is my choice when I need fail-safe beef, especially steaks for a barbecue. The butcher department is excellent. There is nothing worse than spending all the time grilling steaks and then having them tough or tasteless. This beef is juicy, tender, and I've never been disappointed.
They also have a wide range of international foods, and nice produce department. All with the caveat that it is all on the high end of the price scale-- for regular shopping I get my produce at 22nd & Irving, and the other shops thereabout.
One other plus is the parking lot.
They'd get five stars, but the prices are so high, I just can't do it.

What's up with all the negativity?? Is there really a need for over 100 people ranting about the same things?
Let's look at the positive for there ARE good things about this place!
1. On Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, Andronico's is better than weekends @ Costco. There are gourmet samples galore!
ie: today i was delighted to try the following:
+ crme frache and sweet, fresh blueberries
+ australian cheddar and some fancy crackers
+ creme brulee.. and the it was TRULY brulee'd!
+ muenster cheese
+ pastrami
+ strawberries
2. Michael at the deli is OFF THE HOOK!
He made me the best sandwich ever along with some banter, gave me a buncha samples cuz I was "nice" :)
LOVE the guy!
AND! While we were waiting, a cheese cart of samples rolled around, wooooo!
Conclusion: I go there for the samples and Michael at the deli. Everything else I can get SUPER cheap on Irving... =/
game recognized, bitches!

I was exploring during lunch and sauntered into this supermarket. The exterior doesn't look like much, but once you step into the door, the sheer size of the place amazed me. Not only were the flowers fresh and decently priced, they range from beautiful mixed bouquets to vibrant gerba daisies.
I strolled down the aisles and was pleasantly surprised at the large selections of brands and items offered. It was a visual feast and my brain soaked up on all the new products offered especially since the organic products were reasonable and occasionally cheaper than the mainstream commercialized ones.
This was definitely the highlight of my afternoon and I already made mental inventory list of items I would purchase once they are depleted at home. How nice is it to find such joy and comfort in a supermarket?
People claim it's too expensive but don't believe the hype. Sure, some things are pricey. But you get what you pay for -- high quality goods. There are plenty of deals you can get on sale items; you just need to keep an eye out and be patient and flexible. Other reasons I love Andronico's: the cool wine section, a good variety of vegetarian food including fake meat, and the friendly, mellow staff. It's my neighborhood grocery store and I'm a longtime loyal customer.
I've had nothing but good experiences shopping at Andronico's. It's to the point where I'll drive the extra 15 minutes to go there instead of the Safeway down the street. It's not the cheapest grocery store, but my God you get what you pay for. And they don't charge more for the brands they carry compared to similar stores.
I still remember going there the NIGHT BEFORE Thanksgiving, expecting pandemonium, empty shelves and bruised elbows; instead I found a well-stocked store with friendly staff ready with advice, and almost no line.
They also carry Acme breads and meat items that I've only otherwise seen in the Ferry Building-- and on a weeknight, I'll take the Andronico's easy parking lot, thank you.
Sadly, this "neighborhood" market has become a bitter shopping experience. Once upon a time, this Andronico's was a special place to shop. Sure, the prices were a little high but you could rely on some good culinary items. However, the prices are not just high, they have become highway robbery and they make a point to really stick it to you...with an attitude. Notice how everything seems priced in the minimum range of $3.99 to $4.99? The price for a particular brand of sliced jarlsberg is $8.99 a packet compared to $2.99 at both Trader's Joe and Whole Foods. I brought this to the attention of the manager who said he would check with his buyer; no price change. That was a year ago.
I agree about the checkers: The gossiping and chatting is rampant and results in mistakes on your bill and leaving groceries left unbagged. (We bag our own groceries anyway.) I find the deli staff always pleasant (what's with the guy who sounds like a retired umpire with the Yankees?) and most of the meat/fish staff are friendly with a few exceptions.
I believe in complaining when things get bad...and they are bad at this Andronico's. We shop for minimum items here because the market is closeby and usually from the friendly deli and meat/fish counters; these items are reliable and good.

I'm writing this review assuming everyone in the Inner Sunset is as cheap as I am...
...but I've gotta say: I always feel a little guilty when I spend money here. I think it's because a week's worth of groceries here all but breaks me.
The last time I shopped here, I noticed a bag of frozen chicken priced at a whopping $19. Yes, that's right kids: $19 for frozen breasts! My grandmother would've had a heart-attack if she had seen that price tag.
Save yourself some pennies and go to Parks or 828. Or allow Andronico's (or as I like to call it, Overpricedico's) to continually rob you. All this yuppified produce, dressed up cheese, elitist meat and high-end bread can be bought elsewhere in the 'hood.

If your having one of those bourgey little get together's with wine and cheese, perhaps a little bruschetta; then this market is perfect for you. But if your a normal person that can't afford to pay $100 every time you need a few groceries then I suggest trader joe's or safeway instead. Just pedal a little harder or use a little bit more gas. It's worth it.
Your not missing anything if you never go to Andronico's.

i can't believe they did not renew their lease with usbank!!!!!!!!!
it was so great to go to my bank (other than bofa or wells fargo) inside a grocery store, save gas and time looking for parking!!
andronico's is converting the bank to a wine dept!! so disappointed!!
they just lost my business! i will go to molly stone's by my work instead!!
I guess I'm annoyed because the employees keep saying that US Bank did not renew the lease when in reality Andronicos didn't. Just be honest.
This is MY supermarket. It used to be a Park & Save (something like that), that closed and then Andronico's moved in and I've been a happy camper ever since. Yes, you sometimes pay more for things here but usually those "things" are more gourmet or of better quality then elsewhere. And what variety! I can get a whole lot of the things I want here, not just the common everyday stuff you can get at Safeway or everywhere else. The meats seem to be of a higher quality and the butchers will help you if you ask--roasts can be cut down if you want a 1lb roast (and they don't even laugh at you), free-range chickens are graciously chopped into pieces, etc. I like their fish although I find the selection a little limited since they are appealing to "white" tastes (most of the folks shopping there are white folks), although last week I noticed they have a few other kinds of seafoods they never offered before (fresh sardines, fresh anchovies!!!! I'm hoping some day they'll even have fresh mackerel). Their deli and ready-to-eat food section is incredible (beluga caviar! lox cut to order, specialty breads (I like the ones with all those various seeds stuck to them but not the sour dough, yuck). Even this delicious foccacia that I make sandwiches with. They have a lot more healthy foods then your run-of-the-mill supermarket too. However, the quality of their produce has declined significantly with the advent of that idiotic "spray the fruits and vegetables to make them look dewy fresh" system--I've bought celery and other vegs only to get home and cut them open to find the centers were rotten and mushy. They also tend to put wire shelves of fruits/vegs/gourds in front of the regular display cases making it impossible to reach the upper level of the display case (where the greens are kept). Rolls of plastic bags are placed too high and I almost always have to ask someone to pull down a bag or two for me (I'm short but not that short). And right now Andronicos is going through a major rennovation so nothing is where it ought to be and you have to either ask a clerk to help or spend extra time walking each "aisle" (they aren't all aisle, some of them are islands)--which is fine with me since this is my window-shopping of preference. I can't wait until the rennovations are finished (and I hope they don't raise the prices simply to pay for the rennovations--food prices are increases all on their own already and Andronico's has always been slightly higher priced then the super-chain stores). One more thing, the Safeway that I can get to during my lunch hour at work costs about $2 more for anything then Andronicos and I don't have any other supermarket within walking distance of me so the inflated prices at Andronico's isn't an issue with me; I could commute to some other cheaper store but I wouldn't find all that I can at A's and then for me time is money.
I will give it more stars if/when they fix their ventilation in the meat department. The meat department has ALWAYS smelled. I pray to the gods of grocery stores that they alleviate the rotting flesh odors soon.
Will the construction help? Maybe.
And in response to one yelper's comments about the checkout staff, I have to say I've had a similar experience. There's one young guy there in particular who cannot stop talking. He's way too immature to be in a service position..let alone a checker.
Prices are very high there, but it's worth it for their deli and meat items (odors aside, the meat is good).
This is the closest "American" grocery store to me. The prices are high. However, they have a really nice selection of beer, wine and "gourmet" food items. I get my produce at the Asian markets nearby since the quality is the same and the prices much lower. I treat Andronico's like Whole Foods, I come here for certain items that they have and the other markets don't. They are really good for that.

Wholly overpriced items, HOWEVER, when an item is on sale, its rock bottom price for SUPER high quality foods. I managed to score 2 oz of organic vanilla extract for about 4 bucks today. Mc Cormick's non organic vanilla extract is usually about 5 bucks for 1 oz. woot! I also cannot contain myself from their delicious roasted soynuts. mmm... healthiness and quality.
We were very disappointed by the catering from Andronico's. Our meat/cheese platter was fine, but the veggie Arum sandwiches were terrible! Completely dry, old wilting lettuce, no cheese that I could discern.
This review is for the bakery...the cupcakes strictly. I'm sooo pissed. You're a-holes, Andronico's!!!!!!!! I was having bad day, facing a life crisis, and entering a transitionary phase when on my way to 280 South, I decided to stop here for cupcakes since my favorite bakeries were out of the way.
I bought a couple different cupcakes. They were a#*holes. I felt like crying. They were sooo dry and stale and the frosting was a whipped store bought style. You know - the frosting made up of hydrogenated oils and sugars...oily sugar, if you will. I can't believe you have the audacity to charge so much for this crap. The other desserts from other vendors taste MUCH better.
I know it's dramatic, but taking into account how I was feeling, I was really sad that I had to eat a cupcake that made me feel worse...violently angry, even. F-you, ANDRONICO's!!!!!
I have only known Andronico's for a month, and unfortunately it is undergoing so much renovation at the moment that its hard for me to find anything in the store from each time I come through.
There is a great selection of things... but just way too high priced to be a viable option.
Glad I have a car... back to Trader Joe's I go
OK, yes you may think it's overpriced and NO you may not want to buy your staples here, but Andronico's IS one of the best SPECIALTY FOODS super markets around. I have to disagree strongly with *Amanda V." you certainly WILL miss out if you never go here.
R.O.B. store!
on top of that, they are remodeling so the place wreaks of raw meat.
the prices are through the roof!
200% on some items. e.g. an 8 oz. tub of mascarpone Italian cream cheese is $6 here. the same US$6 will buy you a 16 oz. tub at 22nd and Irving Market.
but here is the cherry on top:
customer service clerks here are not properly trained and don't give a rat's bottom about helping people.
first incident: I asked a quick question on location of an item in the store. the young apron attired clerk pointed and acted like I was bothering him.
second incident on the same day: upon check out, the scanner and bagger were engaged in heavy conversational gossip about the store employees and hook ups. the entire time I was never acknowledged by either employee or even told thanks for shopping at andronico's.
and instead of offering to hand me my receipt he drops it into the bag which I had to fish out in front of him.
I also had to attempt payment several times because of his keying errors during the gossip chit chat with the bagger girl.
in baseball and in life sometimes, it's three strikes and you're outta here!

Yes, Andronico's is known for having WAY over priced items
I cook for myself, my family...and yeah, for others if I feel like it. I cruise the sunset supermarkets from Safeway, Lucky's, Sunset Super, 22nd and Irving to Andronico's..........I enjoy searching for foods to cook as much as I like eating it
One thing that I HAVE to come in their defense, they have sales too! I went there the other day to pick up some low sodium ketchup for my dad (since his BP is borderline HTN) and he slathers it on like it's some kinda holy water. *This is the only place in Sunset that I found any.
Fiber One cereal was going for 2/$6......dude....that's a deal. I had to put down my little black basket in exchange for a real cart. Loadin it up with a whole bunch of other stuff that you HARDLY see Safeway or Lucky's have on sale.
BTW, they have a variety of healthy food products that are hard to find in chain supermarkets and an amazing cheese section. The bakery has some yummy looking stuff "drools", but yeah, THOSE are definitely over priced.

I don't know how Andronico's stay open because everything is overpriced compare to Safeway and Whole Foods. For example, a 32oz diet Snapple is $2.29 while Safeway is $1.49. But i have to admit their layout is nice and everything is organized BUT i wouldn't buy groceries here. I would walk myself all the way to Safeway or Irving if i didn't have a car. But today i was craving for pineapples because I'm on a NO GUMMIES DIET. It was a nice walk from my boyfriend's store (small plug: 3D Audio & Performance, check the place out!). I ended up buying a 20oz precut pineapples for $8.99. yes, its expensive but i guess that's what i pay for my healthy cravings.

I am a picky shopper and I've been shopping at Andronico's for ten years for pretty much all of my groceries. I will start off by saying CHECK EXPIRATION DATES before you buy anything from there! I can't tell you how many various products I've bought assuming that they check the dates themselves only to find when I get home it expired two months ago. I've been pretty diligent about it and have noticed more and more items on thier shelves past due to be removed. I've called it to their attention but they still haven't improved. What gives?
The produce is sometimes good, most often just average. Come on, this is supposed to be a gourmet grocery store, act like it!
I've noticed in the past few months they are starting to introduce more organic and sustainable foods but they have a long way to go. In the meantime, until I see improvements, I can't bring myself to shop there anymore.

I love Andronico's. This place is the 6 flags of food. Thanks to A's I never cook. Their many sumptuous prepared dishes satisfy almost every food craving. If they incorporated some hot Indian food in the deli, I'd think I died and gone to Goa. The prices seem fair to me for dinner already prepared. Plus they have a large selection of yogurt, and carry the "Light and Fit" brand. Have you seen this? 60 calories a serving. I find their "regular" food aisles fascinating. Each aisle is an amusment park. Now that they are re-constructing, you can really enjoy getting lost. The place needs a GPS device for some, but I like the adventure. OK so do I have a life? Yes! but A's is a fine distraction ! Oh yes I find the staff customer service hilarous, friendly, real, helpful, genuine, and knowledgable. I also buy their flowers every week. NIce touch. What can I say, nothing bad, that's for sure.
How sweet the mid-2000's were to this (not quite) -super market.
TJ's a little far and very crowded. The Cala at Stanyan went tummy up. The Safeway at 6th and Fulton was raised to make way for a new Safeway. Also, people who live on the N-line could shop at Bristol Farms, except for the picket line.
This left Andronico's to sit back and suck in the shoppers.
- It is so-so on a great day.
- But not-so-good on an average day. Mostly the prices.
They try to do a lot of good things; but you have to get use to triple digit totals when you check-out to shop here.
(the survey connected with this "grocery store and deli" thinks it is a restaurant. Corkage? Reservations?)

Good in theory but icky in practice. One night I went in there to buy a bag of apples and I was instantly overwhelmed by the smell of slightly-aging fish. It permeated the store and I was stoned on flounder fumes by the time I stumbled out of there. The oily fumes washed off with three or four hot showers but I never could get the smell out of my clothes.
Anyway, overrated, not always a good selection, not always fresh.

I am tempted to give this grocery store 4-stars because of their higher than normal prices but I have to remind myself that I'm here in the bay area. I am not here reviewing the store as a whole. I am here to review Andronico's sandwich counter. This is where they get 5-stars!!!! I have only had two sandwiches from here so far. My recent second sandwich experience reminded me of what I have been missing. They in fact do make the best sandwiches in the city!!! Ya, ok they are $6.99 but the best tasting $6.99 you'll ever taste. I ordered the tuna salad on wheat, add pickles, red onions, mustard, and sweet peppers. Great sandwiches, great service at the sandwich counter. You can't go wrong!!!

Update: 4/8/08
Since I've moved away from Alamo Square & its environs, I've been seriously missing my Falletti's fish/ meat counter men. My fish guy would select shellfish for me, be they clams or mussels - by painstakingly making sure the little suckers would close, tapping their shells together and making sure they would move -- prior to popping them into the plastic bag. Not so much at Andronico's (in the Sunset) where the guy behind the counter sort of just grabbed a handful of the shellfish and dumped them into a plastic bag, barely even looking at them. Of the 8 clams we brought home that evening, we had to dump one outright upon arrival home; another one did not open completely during the cooking process and was thus also a candidate for discarding.
Always best to be specific in your desires - "please sir, may I have 10 clams? Please give those those that are still closed &/ or moving..."
=======================
Original review: 2/13/08
I miss the hot foods at Falletti-Delessio's in my old neighborhood and have been spoiled by the selection and variety at Whole Foods. Hell, even the almost never-changing selection at Piazza's in Palo Alto seems to be better than the stuff here.
At Andronico's, one peers into the warming trays under the heat lamps and sees: some crusty mac 'n cheese, ribs, a fried chicken assortment (wings, legs or breasts); another vietnamese-styled batch of chicken wings; lemon garlic chicken breasts and thighs (not great); some mashed potatoes, giblet gravy, baked potatoes... in short... some of the things you'd probably find at Safeway, except Andronico's is supposed to be upscale.
I'm glad there's a grocery close to home, but I'm not sure if we'll be shopping there all that often.
If you want to buy food at Whole Food prices with Safeway quality, then you should shop here. Non-organic blood oranges for $2.99 /lb? No thanks, I'll go down the street at one of them small mom and pop shops and pay $.59 cents instead. $1.59 for one cup of Clover yogurt? No thanks, I'd rather pay half that at the other place down the street.
I also do not like the layout of the store. Although the building area is quite large, the aisles are narrow in a maze-like configuration. It makes me claustraphobic. The feng shui is just outa whack.
This is just a personal thing and will not influence my overall rating, but the clientele here are yuppy-ish. I mean, who else can afford such high prices and not suffer from cardiac arrest. It feels weird being amongst all these yuppies.

Umm... can we say OVERPRICED? Unless there's a sale, this place is really a Bristol Farms with a Mom-and-Pop name. Everything that you can get either at Trader Joe's or your conventional super market, or your local ethnic market is at least 1 1/2 times more expensive. The saving grace of this place is that it's right across the street from my house, so it's my last-minute save for any provisions I'm missing.
I won't be kicking Andronico's out of bed anytime soon,
since it is close and convenient.
But when I push my cart down Andronico's aisles I can't help but scream...
"Trader Joe's! Trader Joe's!"
In my head.
Andronico's isn't bad looking. Well stocked shelves. Vast produce selection and an impressive deli meat and fish selection. They even have some beautiful floral arrangements and an exceptionally taste brie selection. (mmmmmmmmm brie)
But paying 16 dollars for mango salsa and a couple of slices of turkey is kind of a turn off.
OK - a big one.
But...
When you have an 8 hour marathon of America's Next Top Model (yes I watched all 7 hours of that 8 hours) and three piles of laundry waiting for you at home....

When I can't face the clusterf**ckage of Trader Joe's, a trip to Safeway or Lucky seems really overwhelming, and I'm too lazy to do a 2 store run, the 2nd being a standalone butcher shop or produce store, I'm happy to have Andronico's as an option.
Certainly not a place to buy toilet paper, but to throw together a meal with fresh ingredients some of which may be a little on the obscure side, and to flirt with a hot live butcher (a time honored american tradition), you got your Andronico's right here.

Ooooh Andronicos you double-edged sword.
Luring me in with your fresh organic produce and extensive meat and fish department. And your olive bar....oooh your olive bar - so ripe with the oil-soaked delicacies I crave.
That being said - Walk through and do what you consider to be a fair and balanced bit of shopping - some extravagence, some staples - and then go to the register.
and then ... BAM! they hand you the receipt. Like Emeril Lagasse pimp slapping you in the face while Rachel Ray laughs and points at your genetalia. You start questioning your own sense of standards. "What the hell did I buy?"
After this happens 4-8 times you finally realize that maybe it's not you. Maybe it's Andronicos.
If you are like me and like to buy some basic staples, once a week or two, but like to buy veggies, dairy and meats every couple of days for freshness I would recommend taking the long haul to Trader Joes or Rainbow every week or so and then just supplementing your more frequent needs with a local veggie stand. Your wallet will thank you.

I love this place! I'd love it even more though if I could always afford it.
This place has such a great sushi section and their hot soups always get me through my mornings.
It's convenient for me and they sell all these paraben free products in their beauty aisle.
They have a good selection of Just Desserts cakes and more in the frozen aisle. I was disappointed all three times with the individual slices I bought from the bakery though. I really didn't think a place could mess up a cheesecake, but oh well, that just means Sara Lee from now on!

So this is a bit of an update, based on some new experiences.
This is still an upscale safeway, but customer service has gotten really spotty. When you say "I have my own bag," it must mean, "I'll bag my own groceries." Most of the time when I show up with a bag (and most of the time when I don't.) the bagger and checkers both take that as a cue that I'll be bagging my own groceries.
I'm also really bugged by this trend over the last couple months where they try to hurry you out of the checkstand. Basically, once I pay, the checker hands me my receipt, pushes my purchases to the side (while I'm bagging it.), and starts checking the next person's groceries.
Seriously, wtf? This is really bad guys, get your act together.

Hey hey, an upscale safeway!
I live in the area and spend my money in the local markets, but sometimes, you have to go to a place like this in order to get cereal, beer, toothpaste... etc.
The meat is overpriced, the sausages are of questionable freshness, the fish is only so so, and the deli section is meh.
They have a great beer section though, great. Keeps me from having to go to Bevmo all the time, and they carry this one oatmeal soap that does wonders for my skin.
....
I didn't say that. Prank caller! Prank caller!

For a delicious and fresh deli sandwich, Andronico's can't be beat. And, they've got a punchcard system in place if you're a regular, making your 11th deli sandwich on the house! The delicatessen staff members are friendly, knowledgeable and generally very patient. Kevin is my most favorite sandwich artist.

Excellent! Excellent meat and seafood department. Excellent produce. Excellent baking department. Andronicos employees seem to enjoy working there, and they are consistently friendly and professional. I have lived across the street for two years, and I just love Andronicos.
