great optometrist! After working at an optometrists office for 3 years, I know what to look for in a good eye doctor and Dr. Huttenhoff is definitly a good one! Very thorough, honest so you're not in a new pair of glasses every year if it's not necessary, and professional. highly recommend!

I have gone to Lenscrafters for years. I was seen by multiple optometrists and I always left frustrated that I could not see clearly with my contacts. In one vist with Dr. Huttenhoff, I was able to get fitted with contacts that allow me to see clearly - FINALLY! I am grateful and would definitely recommend Dr. Huttenhoff.

I moved out here from the East Coast and would go to my optometrist in Boston once a year while visiting for Christmas, which seems pretty silly, but finding a new doctor of any kind can be tough. Finally, I decided it was time I really made the switch to a local doctor.
I met Dr. Huttenhoff through a friend and couldn't be happier with his services. He is friendly, knowledgeable, and very professional. His new location is beautiful, serene, and spacious. He is efficient, but not rushed, and I really feel like he cares a lot for his patients well-being and in making sure they are comfortable, particularly in their new contacts or glasses. -

Eye doctor:
Great doctor. He doesn't push new glasses if they're not needed and the yellow drops for dilation didn't require a long wait. Better yet, for whatever reason, when I walked out of the office, I didn't get the normal super-bright light problem that I usually get after having my eyes dilated.
In short, 5 out of 5.
Optician:
She had stacks of patient files in plain view with personal data in plain view. She also recoiled instantly when I asked for a copy of my medical records.
-2 out of 5.
Thankfully, as mentioned earlier, the eye doctor was wise enough to avoid suggesting new glasses so I don't have to knock down this Yelp score even more. -

Andrew's office used to be Dr. Mark Stanton, MD, but Andrew is just as good as Mark, if not better. He was very nice and allowed me to use a vision discount plan for an eye exam that only cost me $42. His receptionist was also very nice and making an appointment was quick and painless. I would highly recommend him.

Knows what he is doing.
Found this office through my insurance's website and based on location. They were kind of enough to squeeze me in on a Monday for a follow-up from a visit to the ER. I was expecting a looong wait, but they took me in right away.
Everyone was very nice, and Dr. Huttenhoff listened and was really helpful. I will definitely come back when it's time for my eye exam -

Dr. Huttenhoff came highly recommended to me by a friend. He was friendly and professional. I went in for a routine eye exam after which he fitted me with contacts that are perfectly comfortable for me (something my expensive downtown doctor did not do). Given this positive experience I'm going to visit Dr. Huttenhoff again. Already made an appointment to have my 8 year old come in too. Highly recommend.

I've been a patient of Dr. Huttenhoff's for years and was very excited when I found out he opened up his own practice. The new office is great and I love his staff. I hate contacts, but they helped me find frames that I love and fit me perfectly! I would recommend anyone who's looking for a great Optometrist to Dr. Huttenhoff...he's the best!

I was on vacation in San Diego and ripped one of my contacts. I'm nearly blind without them, and of course I didn't bring a spare, so I needed a replacement ASAP. My friend had been to Dr. Huttenhoff before and recommended I see him. Not only did he get me in right away, but he was super personable and knowledgeable. If I lived in San Diego, I would absolutely go back.

Dr. Huttenhoff was referred to me by a friend who is also a patient. Previously I had utilized other optometrists in the area and was never pleased by any of them. Dr. Huttenhoff's exam was extremely thorough and he actually listened to my complaints about my eyesight. His office's usage of technology was also amazing- it was easily the most advanced Optometrist office I have visited yet. Dr. Huttenhoff's exam determined that I had previously been prescribed a wrong power contact lens and he quickly fixed that error. The result is I now have wonderful vision and I couldn't be more pleased. I highly recommend his office.

I purchased a prescription & glasses from Dr. Huttenhoff, who was awesome -I noticed immediately that I could not read with my prescription but was busy--when I called to ask Kathy if she could check to see if the prescription on my glasses was what it should be she said it was too long and I'd have to pay for an appointment ( it was 3 months and I asked her to simply check if I got what I paid for!!!!)-- I decided to wait for my VSP time to get my check-up--and I used reading glasses along with my prescription glasses. So it looks like the prescription was probably fine BUT the glasses were to short and cut off the Bifocal--I went to 2 opticians who concurred these frames should not have been sold to me!!!! - and I cannot reuse the frames !!!! --I doubt this is the doctors policy but the Stanton staff who were so awful nobody I knew purchased frames there--and they all loved Dr. Stanton
