You've all seen go-karts before, right?  Just think bumper car w/o the goofy exterior and the awkward pole sticking up from your back to the metal mesh above you.  Throw in a meatier motor, wheels and some flashy decal and you have the racers at Andretti.

For about $20 a race, you're given a helmet, a snazzy jumpsuit and a quick "instructional" video which basically tells you to not die nor kill anyone else while you're on the course.

The cars are very responsive and unlike those bumper cars we mentioned earlier, carry a ton more power.  Since the cars are super low to the ground it will feel like you're pushing a greater deal of speed.  A quick tap on the gas and your head will snap back.  Aren't you glad this car comes w/ a five point harness?

If you're a racing fan or just enjoy riding things that could potentially administer a lot of damage in a very quick amount of time, this is the place for you.

My friend was determined we go go kart racing now that we're working in Atlanta so we made the trek out to Andretti's....Looking at their webite (having never been go-karting before) I was actually pretty psyched about the fact they had a rock wall.  I figured that worst case scenario at least we could have a good time doing some dynos, right?  Not so much.

Suprisingly enough it was quite the opposite.  Going inside I immediately saw that the rock wall was almost flat and uninteresting so that was a bust, but the go karts ended up being a lot of fun.  You start out by kind of hanging around the waiting area with a quasi-sarcastic, british-voiced safety video going on in the background as you don your (not) flame retardant head sock.  You climb in and I have to say I was definitely impressed with how fast these little things book.  **Word of caution though, if you're anywhere over 5'11" you're going to be sitting with your knees by your ears trying not to singe yourself on the high speed lawnmower engine you're attached too.**

All in all a great time, but a one trick pony.  Don't expect anything past some great go-karting as the food/drinks and other activities are a bit of a bust.

As an addendum we went to try to look for food in the roswell area and the first restults on the GPS were "Swallow at the Hollow" and "Mouth of the South"....we drove on as they were closed, but after passing a store called "Once upon a child" it was time to call it quits.  Whats with the suggestive names Roswell?

This place is always fun.  You can bring your kids and they can play games all day.  For adults, they have a full bar for after winning the local Formula 1 championship.  They zip line and other activities are different enough to make this place alway enjoyable.

VROOOM, VROOOM! Yeah, I totally got inspired to write my review for Andriette after I read Deanna's. I have actually been here on a few occasions and each time was better then the last.

The car's are super fast which is sure to get your adrenalin pumping. The track it's self is expertly designed with lots or twists and turns and curves and the oooohhh so fast straight aways. ***Here's a little tip for you.*** The lighter weight you are, the faster the cars go. Every time I go, I always end up being the smaller of the group, there for being the faster racer. Call me crazy but in this case, I love the laws of physic's!

Besides the cars, Andriette's offers several other games and even boasts a bar and eatery upstairs complete with glass floor and huge windows providing you a birds eye view of the track. YES!!! You can even drink before racing, however if you are planning on getting sloshed and trying to climb in to one of the mean machines, then don't. They are experts in spotting the ones that should not be driving no matter what.

All in all, it's a great way to spend some energy as the cars take a lot out of you. But no matter what, you should go and go with a group as it is fun with a capital F U N. !!!!

I didn't race because I'm lame.  I dunno, me and cars don't mix too well. Admittedly, I would have had more fun if I'd raced, but I'm not that into it.  I'm just not that into arcades, but I had to go for a work thing, and this one was so generic and dull that there wasn't even anything small to catch my interest.  This review is biased as hell but whatever!  Yelp is all about opinionated jerks sounding off!

UGH BORING.  Yeah this place is soooooooo freaking boring.  I hate racing, I hate sports, I hate video games that don't involve a 14 year old who inherits a farm from a dead guy and he has to forage for mushrooms on the mountain and woo another 14 year old girl in the town so they can pop out babies ASAP.  Uh..yeah anyway they have a crappy restaurant here that serves Chicago style Vienna Beef hot dogs so that's why they get 2 stars!  The menu says they put lettuce on the dog and I was OUTRAGED for a second, but the waitress assured me it was a typo and that lettuce comes nowhere near it.

Um...come here if you like racing.  And boring games.  And crappy food.  And you have obnoxious kidlets who need to let out some steam.

Andretti is two steps away from actual racing. Or, maybe more accurately described as one step up from normal go-karts.

Fast drivers and competitive personalities will salivate over the timed races on the tracks, and you'll feel either insanely cool or ridiculously dorky in the helmet and suit you're asked to wear.

After sweaty palms and arm stretches, get ready for your time on the course. These puppies reach up to 38 miles per hour. Rev it up and on your mark, get set, gooo!

Note that it'll run you more expensive than your average go-kart, so if you're trying to get away with a cheap night out, take a pass on this one. But if your need for speed, competitive hunger or plain ole love of doing something different is more up your alley, go ahead and make the trip to Andretti!

Andretti is an awesome place to go if you want to race go-karts. Not only is it the best place in Atlanta, it's also indoors. The karts are fast and fun as hell. The track is pretty sweet which has a lot of turns. It's a bit expensive but it's worth it.
