The people that work there are sooo nice! The food is awesome and everything is fresh! They put a nice spin on all there dishes. Every time I go its delish! It's also nice it's right off the Fox River. Really nice view.

I have been here twice since my last review, and both visits were far less stellar than the first visit.
The omelettes (and other egg dishes) are overcooked so that the outside is brown and dry, not light, fluffy and moist. On my most recent visit I tried the Bacado Omelette which has avocado and bacon in it. I was less than impressed and it was barely edible, but we were meeting someone at another establishment in Batavia in 20 minutes, so I didn't have time to send it back and ask for another dish. I doused it with Cholula (hot sauce) to help get it down.
Since both recent visits have been about the same (blah) I don't think I'd be back. Really a shame because the first time I liked it enough to recommend it and return and was hoping it would be my new little family owned breakfast spot.
Another thing I noticed is that the walls are really scuffed up and the windows (especially the door leading to the deck) is dirty with fingerprints. A fresh coat of paint (perhaps wainscoting to prevent future scuffs) and a regular cleaning with Windex will help things look a little cleaner.
On the flip side, the staff seems very nice.
If you try it, you might be better off with french toast, grilled veggie sandwich or something that doesn't involved eggs (stay away from omelettes).1 Previous Review: Show all »

I LOVE this place! The owners are so great, and the food is amazing! My fav is the veggie quesadilla with the chicken tortilla soup-soooo good. The food is fresh, the service is good, and it is fun to sit by the windows or outdoors to watch the river. A must go if you are in the area!

Excellent food and service. This is a family owned business and they went out of their way to make sure everything was wonderful. We ordered breakfast and it was delicious (skillet breakfast).
My grandson dropped his toy down one of the benches and our waitress would not give up until she had found his toy. I was very impressed with the customer service and the food. We will go back. I have heard their lunch entrees are also excellent. I hope more people will give this restaurant a try so they can stay in business..another plus....no waiting...plenty of tables.
