Been coming here since before I could walk, and will keep coming after I need a walker. I hope it's here forever.

For those of you who have trouble making up your mind and picking what to eat at a restaurant... Andre's helps to take all of the complications for you!!!! They have NO MENUS as there are only 2 choices that you need to make!!!
I've forgotten what my options were but I got the pork fettucine which was pretty good. We got a side salad with it, and dessert at the end. I loved my dessert with cappuccino. The cappuccino was not too sweet, which balanced out the vanilla. strawberry cake that I had.
The crowd is a little weird, everyone was probably over 50 or 60. We were the only two young people there, but I didn't come there to stare at the crowd. It was a good experience, but I wish there were more options, other than the two given.
Overall, it was a good experience. -

Awesome Table d'hôte restaurant!
For $13 you get a tasty beverage, 2 choices of a lunch entree, and dessert! It was perfectly portioned and tasty, did I mention the dessert? Just thinking about it gives me that narco chocolate sugar high junkies seek out, I'm getting chills down my spine even while I'm writing this. Try it it's only $13! -

Some of my fondest childhood memories were trips to Andres. This was my grandmother's favorite restaurant in Denver, and it has a special place in my heart. I am forever indebted to her for showing me this amazing gem. Dining here is nothing short of special.
The restaurant itself is quaint and is decorated with old-fashioned Swiss furnishings. It's whimsical.
Don't be discouraged by the line--people wait for a REASON! It's delicious. Each day there are two amazing entrees. A beverage and your choice of dessert are included.
The food is rich and decadent (definitely not low-cal)! My favorites are petite quiche and the mushroom stroganoff. Portions are ideal--not too much, not too little (just enough room for dessert).
Speaking of dessert...Marzipan!!! Chocolate mountains!!! Fruit tarts!!! Incredible. This is the climax of the meal: the dessert selection.
It's a wonderful place to linger with afternoon tea or coffee and pastries. These treats are absolutely perfect to bring to a dinner party, or to someone who needs a little sweetness to brighten the day.
Everyone needs a little Andres in their life!Listed in: Mile High Restaurants

Andre's ruined my sister's wedding cake.
When ordering the cake, we specifically asked for no Fondant and I asked for butter cream topping and orchid purple pearls around the cake. Not only did the cake come with fondant, but they put pastel purple polka dots all over the cake like it was for a child's birthday party. The decorated the bottom of the cake with this light cream which completely stuck onto the baking paper traveling and looked terrible.
I had called them and let them know that this was not going to work for her and my sister was completely upset. They also let me know that the cake wasn't as high as it should be and gave me a discount but when we asked them to do some last minute corrections, the OWNER himself said he would not refund me for the cake, but he would CHARGE me for a NEW cake. It's fondant! You can peal it off and slap on some butter cream!
I was completely upset about the whole situation and felt that the customer service was terrible. Thank you for the craptastic job! -

We went to Andre's for coffee and pastry two days ago. I enjoy the rustic brick interior, and the perfectly-formed-and-flavored Swiss treats. The Napoleon was divine, and the macaroon dipped in chocolate was moist inside as it should be. I adore the brioches; they're always good. We bought Andres' chocolates for later. The regular coffee was just right, and the waitress was efficient and pleasant. Please see my three photos. I will link you to Andre's 50th Anniversary video, http://andreschocolate...
How could one resist going to this revered Cherry Creek establishment after watching it? -

Seniors only? You may think so when you go here because the average age is around 60, but it's open to the public. I think there are a lot of seniors because the portions are kinda small (european portions) but drinks and dessert are included. you only get a choice between 2 dishes every day with a serving of bread, drink and a dessert. I usually have to order 2 orders just to fill myself up. But it's well worth it. They have THE best napoleons I have ever tried. So light with the fluffy filling and the flaky crust with the slight frosting. Oh man. It's just heavenly. The food is swiss cuisine. The beef tips with noodles are excellent. The quiche is ok. But the desserts. You can't go wrong with anything in their case. Just try one dessert every time you go.
The wait can be very long here. Plus parking sucks. But the food is well worth the wait.Listed in: Best Denver Eats

As others have said. $27 pays for 2 people for drink (coffee, tea, ice tea, latte, milk, water), lunch (2 or 3 choices) and a dessert (many to choose from). Prepare for food portions to be fairly modest and the dessert to be VERY sweet. Overall a pretty good deal for good tasting food. If you are under 50, you might be the youngest person in the restaurant :) (aside from the wait staff)

I love this place. Part of that is probably my history with them - goes back to the early 70s. Coming from a little town in New Mexico, Andre's was my first introduction to fine European (Swiss) food and pastry. In those days they were in a little strip mall right on Cherry Creek North. Obviously, they have been very successful over the decades because when their little strip mall was torn down, they built themselves a lovely new home a couple of blocks away - a little tricky to find the first time.
They only offer lunch (Tues-Sat) and even then just a couple of simple offerings. Usually something like Chicken a la King in a homemade puff pasty shell, a little simple salad, maybe some sliced tomatoes. Then they give you a choice of desserts from their bakery. If they have their amazing Baba au rhum, I'd highly recommend it.
So lunch is light, reasonably priced and served professionally in a spotless environment. But, for me, the real draw here is the pastry and chocolate case. Really lovely, perfectly executed (I told you they are Swiss) fine European pastries and handmade chocolates and other candies. Currently, and for the last 40 years or so, one of the best fine bakeries in Denver. For my money, it's still in the Best of Denver catagory.Listed in: My Denver faves, Markets and Delis

I grew up with Andre's. My grandma would come at least twice a month with me in tow. This place may be populated by seniors, but let me tell you folks....It's a diamond in the rough!!!
They only have two options each day, but they are both amazing (If they have anything in puff pastry go with it!) You get a wonderful mixed salad and generous portion of french bread to go with your meal. I recommend their iced tea as a drink option.
Then, after all this goodness you get one of Andre's wonderful pastries to finish your meal. They are all good so just let your inner voice guide you. And as you leave you can salivate over the pastry case. My family has ordered many a birthday cake from Andre's and they have always received the best compliments. If you are ever in the dog house go to Andre's....get one of his almond or fruit tortes and you are set! Wow how I miss Andre's in Seattle. -

Really? One of the best eateries in this area? NO! I will cop to Andre's probably having the most sentimental appeal for those who grew up in Denver. And, I will agree that they offer comfort food... But PLEASE, their food is unhealthy, unimaginative, and overcooked. This is a great place to take your grandparents. Do not go if you would like to have a confidential chat with anyone because the tables are on top of each other. Yes, it has a bit of old-world charm, but let's just leave it there.

Was dragged here for lunch by my mom at the recommendation of her friend.
Off the bat, it smells like a cafeteria. And apparently my nose knows! The food was OK. The pastries were good though the cake I had was a touch on the dry side.
The portion sizes were perfect and what you would expect in most other countries except the U.S. and Australia. I left feeling perfectly full if a little disappointed in the quality of the food.
The decor was little on the strange side. New brick in an interior setting?!?
Overall the experience was OK but I can think of a dozen other places I would prefer to have lunch instead. -

They do what they do well. $13.00 includes lunch, drink and desert.
Not trendy low key place with good food. 2 lunch choices no menu. While it is not for a dieter it is a reasonable choice based on portion sizes and uncomplicated ingredients. Can not wait to take mom mom here for lunch. -

There are not enough youngsters who know about this little gem in Cherry Creek. It's simple and you will walk away feeling satisfied without that "overstuffed" feeling. There are two items on the menu each day... one meat and one vegetarian...plus there's dessert!!!
I love lighter tasting cakes... and this place makes my mouth water with the mere thought of going there!!! They have a case of amazing pastries each day and also make specialty cakes as well wedding cakes. There are also marzipan figures to enjoy, quiches, and real fondue makings (NOT the foil packets...yuck!).
Please do not be scared of the senior population that flocks there daily (closed Sun & Mon)... it's worth the trip over and you can always leave with your hands full of pastries to share with your friends and colleagues. -

Andre's is a quaint little Suisse restaurant that is always busy and open only for lunch. They make everything from scratch but you only have two choices: vegetarian or meat entree. The meal comes with a side, drink and a dessert. One of the items is normally a quiche, which is good but nothing special. The portion size is small even for European standards and I think that most people come for the dessert. And the dessert is delicious! If you crave some authentic European sweats and dessert this is certainly the place for you. However, if you look for a lunch that will fill you up for the afternoon, you might consider ordering two entrees...

Andre's restaurant has an interesting concept in dining. Every day (they are closed on Sundays and Mondays) they make two different entrees and that's all you get to pick from. The first time I tried this place (so many moons ago) I was confused and intrigued. I got the beef tips with noodles (came with a small salad and piece of delicious bread) and for dessert we got to pick from a tray of about 10 different desserts. I have to confess I kept coming back because of the desserts!
Now a days, I call them once in a while to see if they are serving their Chicken Pattys that day. If you are thinking of going, try to go when they are serving the Chicken Patty! It's basically puff pastry shell with chicken and gravy but it's very good. They serve it with a nice ripe tomato salad and fresh bread. Yummy!
A slight warning for those of you who like to eat Cheesecake Factory portions, the portions are European (smaller than what Americans are used to) but I think they are just right for lunch and then you get something sweet at the end so going back to work after lunching at Andre's isn't so bad! -

My family is Swiss and I have been coming to this authentic Swiss restaurant since before I can remember. When I was younger, my favorite part of Andre's was their cute and DELICIOUS pastries! They are so fresh and so amazingly decorated! The pastry chefs are incredibly skilled and give the same great product every single day. Pick up a box of these and you will NEVER be disappointed. As I get older I can really appreciate their fantastic food! They offer two choices a day-and usually my cousin and I get both between us so we can share. We can't get enough of Andre's! If you grew up on traditional swiss food like I did- or even if you didn't- you HAVE to try this place!

What a wonderful experience! I was introduced to Andre's by a new friend last week. With only two choices for lunch it was still hard to decide! They have a fantastic organization. Choose your drink, meal, and awesome dessert and all for around $12.00! The place was packed! You really are crammed in quite tight but this dose not take away from great food and service.

Denver's best kept secret and a Kansas City classic, with outposts only in Denver and somewhere in Texas. This family has managed to keep tradition alive in three states and although it appeals to little old ladies, it's really a delightful departure from the usual Denver lunch choices for all ages. There is no menu, just two choices per day, plus an amazing pastry case which includes quiches, cookies and tortes. I would wish for better vegetarian selections or at least the use of organic meats, but that's my only complaint. If you're not in the mood for a meal, you can always come in for tea or coffee and pastries, too! (Standouts include the spinach quiche, the raspberry-chocolate cake, lemon squares and holiday cookies)...

Ordered 2 cakes from André's. The Tiramisu was a hit! The Rum Cake was dry and didn't really taste like rum. In the end, I will try another cake from André's in the future...
