Andrei was photographer at my wedding in February 2012. He answered any questions I had beforehand and was very professional, courteous, and communicative throughout the entire process.
His photographs turned out so beautifully and truly captured the joy of everyone there. I love how the photographs came out so natural and real, not posed and forced. Andrei understands how to use the space and people present to create the perfect portrait and story. His video was also so well edited and made. Thanks for doing such a great job! -

After looking through dozens of wedding photographer's portfolios my fiancé (now husband) and I realized that we were looking at their best pictures, and... no wonder they all were nice! And so we decided to select OUR photographer based on their personality.
We chose Andrei Riskin because he made us feel comfortable, working with him was easy and fun from the beginning to end, like if he was a old friend of ours.
We were able to enjoy our wedding, we almost did not have to pose, his beautiful photos just happened spontaneously.
We also heard from our guests that both Andrei and his assistant were courteous and very friendly.
His personality and his pictures made all the difference, he's a true artist! -

Andrei is an AMAZING photographer. Our wedding photos were art, not just pictures... They spoke for us, and captured every feeling and emotion that we all had that day.... Andrei's photos are hip and edgy, yet have this old world glamour quality to them.... He was great to work with, and I will always use him for all the occasions coming up!! And hopefully, there will be many!!

We have hired Andrei for our wedding. He was recomended to us by our flower-decor person. She said he does an amazing job. Well, that was an understatement. His work was amazing. He showed up on the day of dressed professionaly, suit tie the works, and right then and there he took my parents aside to interview. Afterwards, he did everything he could to make us laugh. He climbed walls, told stories. He would come up with different poses, so that they would look real, and not staged. Working with him was fun.
But that was 3 weeks ago. Today we went and picked up our 900 photos ( i kid you not), he showed us a multimedia that he made of those photos. It was beautifuly mooving. We imagined that we were back on our wedding. The pictures alone, are work of art. It would be difficult for us to pick just 50 for him to print, and only ONE for a portrait.
I would whole heartedly recoment Andrei to anyone. -

All I wanted back then was to make my fiancée happy. She found Andrei through Yelp and decided on him because of the spontaneity, that was present on his pictures. They were fresh and very different from the others. It was like he refused to take the same picture over and over again. At first I was somewhat indifferent to her choice and decided to "just go with it", but now, a year later, as I am looking through the slideshow that Andrei made for us, I see how much love, joy, and beauty he captured. It's amazing! I want to thank him for this wonderful work of art.

This is probably a few years too late, but I just came across Andrei's yelp page. Andrei photographed our wedding 2.5 years ago. I just wanted to share that I was extremely pleased with his work. Andrei made sure to visit the wedding location ahead of time and plan out where and how he would photograph us. He made sure to photograph the details of the wedding and truly captured the emotions of that day. He made sure that our wedding album was perfect and personally delivered it to our home. Thank you for the memories!

After interviewing a number of San Francisco photographers, we decided to work with Andrei. It was the best decision.
Andrei was prepared and organized. He had a number of sites in mind with arranged backup sites for bad weather. He explored the wedding venue, and knew exactly where we needed to be at what time in order to get the best shots.
When we received 1000+ pictures from the wedding, it was impossible to pick out our favorite ones. We love all of the pictures! Our friends and family still can't stop bragging how great it was to work with Andrei and how courteous and professional he is.
Definitely recommend Andrei as he will transform your event / vision into beautiful photographs. -

I have to say Andrei is fantastic!! He is so professional, kind and easy to work with. He made such a difference in the way we will remember our wedding. When I was done with the wedding I could only remember details here and there, but once I got the photographs back and the slide show it was like I could re-live that day all over again. Andrei was everywhere he needed to be to get the most amazing shots and capture all the moments, but it was like he was a stealth photographer. He was there to get the shot, but you never noticed him!
The other thing that I loved about Andrei is that he really put a lot of time and effort into our day. He showed up the night before the wedding to check out the venue, and figure out where would be the best spot to take the pictures. He had a plan and was organized, and that helped everything go smoothly.
Before Andrei, I was looking at other photographers that were DOUBLE the price and their photographs were not nearly as beautiful. Andrei has the eye for what will make a great picture. He captures moments that you never even knew were happening: laughs, hugs and AWESOME dance moves and then brings them to life. Just trust him and everything will turn out perfect.
I remember when we first met him he said, " Don't worry about your pictures just enjoy your day and let me take care of everything" that made me a little nervous at the time, but I am SO happy I listened to him. Enjoying your wedding is the most important part. The second most important part is a great professional photographer so you can look back and remember all those little moments that may have passed you by. Thank you Andrei for everything. We cannot wait to work with you again! -

Wow. That's the best way to describe how beautifully Andrei captured our day in pictures. In fact, family and friends a year later still comment that they are the best pictures they've seen. It was truly a magical day, and we cannot thank Andrei enough.
We were lucky enough to have two friends before us use Andrei Riskin for their weddings. As our wedding was further outside the bay area, we thought we were out of luck. We called Andrei anyways, since we were so in love with his work. He arranged to come to our wedding four hours away, and did not disappoint. Our pictures still astonish us. We recommend him without hesitation to anyone looking for someone that can capture the uniqueness of their event.
